1  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2010 March 10, 02:05:38
Setting them as chosen does not stop them from aging.  You can stop aging in EA's options menu, but that stops your whole town from aging.  The censor will remain on wile using the toilet because no one really wants to see a Sim pee through their clothes.  Is the censor still there when your Sims bathe?

Thanks for your reply.

No, it showed when they bathed, but I figured out my problem -- my config file was different than what was shown to be set by using "showconfig" in-game for some reason. I just reconfigured it through setconfig. As for "Chosen" Sims still aging... well, that sucks. I'm just going to use Twallan's Story Progression instead of AwesomeStory.
2  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2010 March 09, 23:55:12
I'm using the AwesomeMod story driver -- do I set the in-game Story Progression option to off? I'm having some problems and I'm not sure why: households I have selected as "Chosen" are still aging and options I enabled in the config file (such as no-censor) aren't working -- the censor still shows up. I don't have any other mods installed -- I had the SuperComputer but I removed it in case that was conflicting.
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Editing relationships? on: 2010 February 21, 02:55:01
Excuse me... I haven't been around in awhile and just started playing The Sims 3 again. I mistakenly forgot to edit family connections after using CAS and now my family is left as merely acquaintances. Is there any way to edit these relations? Also: has there been any development on a package editor for TS3?
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Plight of the Torsoless on: 2009 August 01, 18:38:51
There's a Sim in my game who's like that... He's one of my Sims' boss--the Leader of the Free World. I just tell myself because he's such an internationally-known character, he must have gone through great lengths to maintain a low profile.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Music files? on: 2009 June 05, 13:52:49
Does anyone know where the music package is? I'd like to try and export some of the songs that come with the game.
6  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Smash lemonade stand hack? on: 2008 January 09, 20:52:33
Is there a hack/mod for adding the "smash" option to the pie menu? I searched and found a smashlemonadestand.package in someone's post, but I'm not sure where to find that hack's download. Does anyone have an idea?

Apparently the Seasons patch is coming out this weekend.
8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Vampire coffin problems on: 2007 February 04, 00:09:23
Nope. I don't have the Vampire Day Time Decay Mod, Sleep Clock, or Coffin Mod either.
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Vampire coffin problems on: 2007 February 02, 16:06:35
Nope, no bed hacks. 97% of all my hacks are from here.
10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Vampire coffin problems on: 2007 February 02, 14:53:08
Well, their needs do not get recharged in a coffin. Did you mean they don't remain static? If so, this is an old bug where if the vampire was last seen running away from the sun on another lot, their needs would still go down at their house.

They don't get recharged? Hm... maybe I'm misremembering things. There's no fix for this sun-bug?

12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Vampire coffin problems on: 2007 February 02, 13:46:13
I did a search for this, but I found nothing... is anyone else having a problem with coffins? I don't seem to remember when this started happening, but I think it was after I installed Pets... anyway, my vampires' Needs do not get recharged while in the coffins, and they keep emerging because of this due to Hunger, Bladder, and lack of Comfort. At night they don't automatically emerge of course, and their Needs continue going down when they should be static.

Is there a hack or fix I'm missing?
13  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Blank Neighborhood Screen? on: 2006 December 17, 04:51:37
Something very odd has just happened to my game for no apparent reason. No new downloads, nothing, and it was working fine yesterday. I loaded up my game and found the neighborhood with the UI and everything, just no houses, terrain, nothing. Just a blank, light blue screen. When moving my mouse over the blueness, there were clickable lots available... so now I'm worried. What to do?
14  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Werewolves grrr / Made fix, download at your own risks on: 2006 November 28, 02:00:00
I tested the vampire in my game, anf at least for me it works. I used a zombie-vampire-werewolf and a vampire-werewolf (no alien involved but it shouldn't matter). The vampires heve the vampire overlay during the day and at 20:00 they change to the werefold fur with no problem. They do need to be up at this time, If they wake up after 20:00 the change won't take place.
One thing I noticed is that vampire lose their fang when turning into a werewolf and they don't get them back in the morning. I don't know why but I think it has something to do with the werewolf teeth.... Someone more awesome than me should look into that.

I didn't not test specifically Elau custom skintone but the way I did my fix it should work with all custom skintones. Did you wait for 20:00 for the change to occur ?
pioupiou

He was already transformed when I checked. Perhaps I should wait until he transforms again? >.>

And the fangs of the vampire are messed up now, too? Sometimes, I want to punch the people who made tihs game in the face, whoever they are nowadays. How goddamn lazy are they?
15  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Werewolves grrr / Made fix, download at your own risks on: 2006 November 26, 07:55:22
Well, I put this in my game, and I assumed it would correct alien/vampire/zombie/werewolves if it did alien/werewolves and zombie/werewolves. It didn't...and still wasn't corrected after I changed my Sim into a regular alien/zombie/werewolf. Was it supposed to fix vampire/etc. as well?
16  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Replacement of Ugly Servo Eyes. on: 2006 November 26, 07:52:41
...Wow. I haven't posted here in forever. Upon clicking "Reply", I was greeted by a rather disturbing image of the Diablo II boxart. Necromancy is okay here, right? Right. Okay then.

...

Anyway, I was wondering if there was any chance of an update for robot werewolves? Upon creation of one I almost cried when I encountered that big nasty yellow eye staring right at me.
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Terrain problem... on: 2006 October 29, 23:29:55
In my neighborhood screen, all the terrain is the natural grassy green that comes with the game, however, when playing a lot and looking at the neighborhood from there, it's a sandy beach terrain, which is...odd. Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix this?
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: CRT or LCD???? on: 2006 July 27, 18:49:09
Quote
LCDs are better than CRTs because:
# They are smaller and lighter.

# They consume less energy.

# The image is crisper because each pixel is displayed by a specific set of liquid crystal cells.

# Eyestrain and fatigue are reduced because there is no flicker.

# While there is no conclusive evidence about the health hazards of low-frequency electromagnetic emissions, LCDs emit much fewer than CRTs.

# Some LCDs pivot, so you can work in landscape or portrait mode.

# LCDs are less prone to interference from other devices, and you can put two side-by-side without encountering problems.

# The image geometry is always perfect.

# Convergence is always perfect.

# The flat face of an LCD tends to reflect less glare than most CRTs.

# They tend to use fewer hazardous materials and are easier to recycle.

# They look so much cooler.

Thanks, guys.
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Is there a way to get furniture to stay in an empty lot? on: 2006 July 16, 03:28:59
Here's my problem: I made a lot with several buildings as part of a story I'm doing, but did not add it to the Lot Bin so it could be reproduced over and over. I made my family of 24 for the story, moved them in, finished it, and now I'm on to part 2, but without a lot to use. I really didn't want to recreate the entire lot, so I made a lot, boolpropped everyone into the new one, and found the old one abandoned. I added it to my Lot Bin, but when I move them back in, all the furniture is gone.

So...is there a way for this furniture to remain in this lot even when no one is occupying it? Thanks.
21  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Load Screen Messages on: 2006 April 27, 23:03:46

Go to C:/Program Files/EA Games/(whatever game you're using)/TSData/Res/Sound/ and look for Splash.package. Back it up to your desktop or something and then go to C:/Program Files/EA Games/The Sims 2/TSData/Res/Sound and copy the Splash.package from there. Paste it in the first directory I listed and it should play the original music at the splash screen.

Fantastic, this worked!!  I am once again a happy camper. Thank you very much.

No problem.

This is extremely nifty!!!  I always read the messages, you can kind of tell how much more time you have to wait. I agree, they seem to not be so witty anymore.  Great job, BlueSoup.

I like the loading music from the base game, and have tried all the ways I've read about to change it but it never works.  If anyone has any new ideas on that, I would be most grateful.

23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Nightlife House Mix? on: 2006 April 14, 02:15:13
I was always wondering what the House Mix station was, and all I found were four songs which were remixes of the Sims 2 Theme song (the one at the Neighborhood screen), and I looked in the MusicTitles text file and found many other songs not in my game. "Chewing Gum" by Annie, "Jump" by The Faders, etc. I searched on the BBS, and found this: http://bbs.thesims2.ea.com/community/bbs/messages.php?&openItemID=&threadID=2229a5aa538dc3fa663e2a924a21e5a9&directoryID=2&startRow=1#2773e9f2b620039f742da4aa3f15138e

Apparently someone else has these songs included in their game.

Does anyone know more about this?

EDIT: Ah, I see. Some translations in other countries got certain songs from the list. They were easily extractable.
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Everyone in my 'hood will be wearing the hat! on: 2006 April 03, 03:53:21
I don't see the point of Maxis releasing this holiday themed crap. Like we actually have time to dress up our Sims and decorate their houses for the holidays. Same thing with the Family Fun pack. How many of us are actually going to have the kids dress up like dinosaurs and jump on the bed?
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Townie Employees and Jobs on: 2006 March 29, 16:31:11
Just one question: after I fire a townie from my business, do they get a job in one of the careers again? I'm asking this because one of the townies I fired is now "Unemployeed".
