1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Just a word of warning - - Walmart Prima Guide on: 2009 June 05, 09:37:20
I remember the manual that came with Simon the Sorcerer 2. As well as all the explanations for the controls and things it had a transcript of Simon explaining the first game to his psychiatrist. Brilliant way of getting through the 'previously on Simon the sorcerer' bit. Then when they re-released the game for later versions of windows they skipped the manual and stuck it all on a pdf on the disk. Somehow wasn't the same...

Think of Pes's pesonality. Think of the sorts of physical feats and battles that are part of his relationship with Mrs. Pes. Continue that thought on to realize what level sex would be at. When you are done throwing up, you must admit that a fetus is unlikely to survive that sort of activity.

Never mind that, the man pees drano. Goodness only knows what sort of mutant killer sperm spring from his loins.

I'd imagine they'd look something similar to you Tongue

Are you suggesting Frankenbeasley is Pes junior?

Does anyone know how to delete all the sims in the town? Bar say 1 or 2,
Or will they respawn? thought I could do an "I am legend sim "senario....
Also I have read of a cheat called "fisheye" (which doesn't work) supposed to enable you to see through your sims eyes viewpoint, which would be cool driving around in a car!

Simples. All townies have houses so go into edit town, evict everyone then delete them. To halt respawnage delete all their houses. NPCs should remain though. Them and work friends I think. I've just created a clean town this way (no houses, community/work lots remaining). If anyone can give me a clue as to what files I would need to upload to share clean town (is it just the save file?) I would happily upload to save everyone the bother of going through and deleting.

What then heck is it with the randomly spawning babies? I decided to have a go at playing two houses at once. So I leave my green skinned sim alone for a day - literally just a day - while I play the house opposite then I send my current sim over to visit and there's a flipping green baby on the floor. I switch households to see if I could find out who the father was and there wasn't one. This sim had only existed for three days in total, barely knew anyone and had magically spawned a baby...
Sorry EA, was just starting to enjoy myself but I refuse to have my sims performing mytosis...

This will probably equate to zip but I noticed that although some news agencies have picked up on this already the BBC haven't so I sent them an email directing them to this thread. It would be nice to have our point of view at least looked at. Some of the other news articles are so ignorant, a brief over view of this thread would have solved their dozens of innacuracies (one suggested that EA are being punished for removing SecureRom - SecureRoms not gone you twit, if anything they're getting bad karma for lying to us. Not that I believe in Karma but anyhoo..)

Tiny thing I came across: The 'new sim by ex townie feature' when you select an ex townie becoming a new sim by marriage to an old sim it doesn't actually marry the two sims. The new sim is created fine and in the right household but they don't show up as being related in the relationships tab

The only thing I can see in that pic that looks improved over TS2 is the feet. They actually have toes.

I don't see individual toes, at least not on the girl in the lounge chair. The bottoms of her feet look like flippers. I'm of the opinion that they paid attention to what they were doing when drawing the toe lines on the top of the foot.

Bloke standing up, you can see his feet down the bottom. Either he has six toes, his big toe in the wrong place or a huge little toe...

Thanks for testing this out - I'll take a look and find out what's going wrong.  Did the crash happen when you applied the updates, or when you clicked on the baby in the list of sims tab?

When I tried to click on the baby in the list of sims tab

I'm glad I could help
10  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: SimSheet (a sim-tracking program) [Now with Aspiration and LTW tracking!] on: 2008 December 26, 23:01:55
I've been testing the 'On day 1' function to the New Sims and Pets section and have a few notes. When adding a new sim (from CAS) if I have a 7 day cycle and add a toddler on day 5 the toddler is added fine but has not aged along with the rest of the household. i.e. in the household if a toddler is added on day 3 of a cycle by day 7 it will have aged to child, instead it is shown as 4 days to child as if it were added on day 7 of the cycle. So 'on day 1' isn't actually making that much difference - although it's nice to have a record of it in the achievements I suppose

Second note If this function starts working can I request it be added to some of the aging functions, particularly the going to/graduating from College functions (If I send a sim to College mid way through my 5 day cycle I like to continue the cycle for them there at university so it would be great if I could say 'On day 2 of the cycle Jodie went to College' and have the rest of the days age her through the semesters - although now I come to think about it this might not work since not everyone has an equal number of days to number of semesters in a cycle... But for graduate it might be good.

Third note. While testing this function I added an ordinary baby to a family and if I added it on any day other than day 1 the program crashed (Have never done error logs before but have attached the files the computer wanted to send microsoft if they make any sense to you)

Fourth Note. While testing this function I added a baby by townie to two households, one on day 1 and one on day 2 and neither baby actually showed up on the sim list. The same thing happened when I tried exactly the same (two babies, one on day 1 one on day 2) with alien babies. However, when I tried adding some normal babies again the alien babies (but not the babies by townie) appeared, the alien baby born on ay 1 of the rotation was the correct age by the baby born on day 2 was a rotation behind. Similarly the ordinary babies, the one born on day 1 had aged to toddler, as they should have through the rest of the rotation, whereas the baby born on day 2 was the age it would be if it was born on day 5 of the rotation. I applied updates again and all four babies (the ones from the townies never appeared) aged up 5 days as normal. Also this time I was able to click on the day 2 ordinarily created baby (now toddler) without a crash so I conclude its only babies that clicking on causes a crash.

Sorry, I know that's a lot to throw at you, results of just one test session - I now have a lot of non-existent babies in my neighbourhood called alan... Hope I've been helpful in some tiny way. If I'm not clear just ask and I'll have another go at explaining
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Are social group townies named from the live.package file? on: 2008 December 22, 09:04:04
This is because social townies are automatically created from maxis templates as soon as you install AL whereas the witches are generated when you first meet them (and therefore take their names from the custom live.package just like newly generated townies replacing townies you killed because they annoyed you too many times)
Use this to get rid of the townies with annoying names and the game will generate new ones with your prefered names

Also although I'm sure you're aware of them but for anyone else using this as a reference I'm gonna throw out the clean template link

*zceepy is happy because this is exactly her level of modding ability so can help*

P.S. Have you heard of TSR, which SELLS the intellectual property of EA? I thought not.

You might want to add: We'll remove our illegal files when you remove your illegal software.
Or alternatively: We'll remove our illegal files when you make paysites remove theirs.
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Look out!!! M&G runs from its own disk, not latest EP. on: 2008 November 21, 20:16:32
Just being over cautious here (also reading here fills time while I update my backup on my external drive) if I now install my arrquired version and use the very shiny no-dvd crack will M&G do anything silly like uninstall AL

Can I request a reduced autonomous hugging mod? It's really spun out of control since AL was installed
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Freetime Patch is out on: 2008 July 19, 08:58:35
Has anyone else noticed that since patching their game their sims hug each other a lot more?
Inevitably in my game this has led not to sharing the lurve but causing fights...
