TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The Sims 3 Expansion In My Head

I would like to see them get rid of the stupid rabbit holes...
Rabbit holes happen to be a necessary evil for this game, it always was like that for The Sims series. Without them, some of the aspects of the game (mainly school and work) would take much much longer since you have to micromanage every small detail at those places. Imagine having to watch your sims attend each and every lecture in Uni in TS2. That would be exciting at first, but the novelty of it would wear off quickly, given that it's something as boring as a door jam in real-life as well.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Extracting TS3 Music from the game files

Has anyone figured out how to get the music tracks from TS3 out of it's game files so you can listen to them outside of the game? I know that this was the case for TS2, in that you can extract the specific music station .package files to get the .mp3s, and that TS1 had the actual .mp3 files on the game discs. I haven't seen specific music station .package files for TS3, which means that there's another way to do this.

From the little bit I used it, it just has a chance to not teleport you, wasting time. It's not worth the points though, since once you teleport off your lot you have to take a taxi back.
With the teleporter, all of your sims get the option to "Teleport Home" on their cellphones. They still will need a taxi or car to get to another lot though.

Okay, here's a few contributions to this based on my observations:
Trait: Loves The Outdoors CAS Description: Can supposedly learn gardening and fishing faster. Features: Gets a positive moodlet when outdoors. Associated Interactions: "Enthuse about outdoors" interaction while outside. Other Notes:
Trait: Loner CAS Description: Needs less social interaction. Features: Slower social decay, Gets a positive moodlet when alone, Gets a negative moodlet when in crowded places, which includes school and possibly work. Associated Interactions: Other Notes:
Trait: Insane CAS Description: Sim supposedly makes decisions out of whim. Features: Can fish out of swimming pools. Associated Interactions: Speak Madness, Tell Ghost Story, Talk about conspiracies, can Talk to Self Other Notes:

Does anyone know if the in-game Music for TS3 is in .package files that can be extracted to get the individual music files for them as how it was in TS2? I can't seem to find any .package files that could have those, and the only music files that I've found so far are those select tracks in the Custom Music folder.

It turns out that the Moodlet Manager actually serves as a semi-Need Rejuvenator in that it restores a need to full if the Sim has one of the negative/neutral moodlets for it. (E.g. Needs to Pee, Getting Hungry, Tired, etc.) The rare backfiring isn't that big of a deal since you can use the MM again to get that depleted need back to full.

Here's what I've gotten from the Painting experiences so far:
Painting:
-Seems to be in the same boat as Writing, a slow start, but a high celing. And the lack of 5-digit number earnings on painting (Compared to writing royalties) is offset by the increased frequency in terms of the time it takes to finish a painting. -Chance to receive a "Paint X amount of paintings" opportunity, which can rake in 5-digit earnings. I've yet to see a Sim get that more than once though, so it maybe just a one-time thing. -Paintings made can contribute to the "Decorated rooms" moodlets should you decide to keep them.
And I'll add these few things to Gardening:
-The money trees don't produce seeds, but only bags of cashable money. I haven't seen a money tree die yet, though. -Sims can eat most of the foods harvested, providing quick hunger relief. The only things that I've seen harvested that are unedible were the Death Flowers and the Money Tree cash bags.

I just dont see the point in dickheads out there, causing issues with dodgy torrents, and viruses and shit.. its the corporate world they should be going for, not the Bob/Betty Newbie! There just inst any point!
Because some of those people have credit cards, bank routing information, wow accounts, brokerage accounts. Ever heard of a keylogger? Not to mention that it fuels those ridiculous conspiracy theories sheeple have about EA leaking dirty versions of the game to "get back at pirates".

Anyone have a link to the crackfix? I may have gotten a wonky version. and will I have to uninstall the Reloaded version or will the Razor one overwrite it?
The crackfix file should have a certain file with the extension .001. Open up that file in WinRAR, and the cracked-EXE should be inside it. Extract it to your Game/Bin folder, and you should be good to go.

Natural cooks can prepare bad food. I had a Sim prepare ambrosia and when it was done it was normal quality. Once she "kicked it up a notch" it went to perfect. Maybe it has to be of good quality before it'll work to reset their ages?
I don't think the quality of the food was the problem. The age bar got reset, along with a message saying that her Elder lifespawn was increased/reset, only to die from old age (assumingly) a few days later. And by the way, has anyone had Elders die of old age before their age bars got to full?

Maybe the Amrosia dish was badly prepared (can it be?) and had the negative affect instead ala low aspiration elixir of life?
I don't think so, since she also had a 7-day long positive moodlet for eating something divine, which I assume was the Ambrosia dish. The person that prepared it had the Natural Cook trait, which allows them to never prepare ruined food, I believe.

I think I found another bug just now. That Elder woman who I said ate the Ambrosia dish and had her age bar reset back to the beginning of the Elder stage apparently died, presumably of old age. I assume that is so because she did the same actions that my other sims did when they died of old age, she wasn't starving to death, and no fires were in sight.
So I guess either the Ambrosia food isn't working as intended, or maybe the Elder age bar isn't an all-tell-tale sign of when he/she will die.

So... Does the Razor version have any new content or clothing?
Reports have been saying that there's nothing significantly different about the Razor version versus the Reloaded one, except the version number and perhaps a few more or less bugs, assuming EAxis bothered to do anything about them between those two builds. So no new objects, no new clothing, still no word on the 2nd neighborhood...

For those who were asking about the Ambrosia food recipe, it actually resets the sim's age of whoever eats it back to the beginning. One of my elder sims who's age bar was almost full had her age reset back to the beginning of the Elder stage after eating this.
And it can't be stored in the Food Replicator, which does make sense. So much for THAT plan!

I'm not understanding how the Maid-as-Nanny feature works. I've just been calling a babysitter every time my Sim heads off and leaves her kid. If I were to leave the baby and the Maid alone, would the Maid play the part of Nanny? Is that how this works?
I think he/she was refering to how Nannies sucked in TS2, in terms that they sometimes do the most ridiculous things, as well as them not doing their job.

Not really sure what the Life Tree plants do for you yet though. I let her eat one and nothing happened.
I believe it's one of the ingredients for the Ambrosia food recipe, which supposedly works as the Elixir of Life of TS3. I assume you need maximum Gardening to plant those, right? And has anyone figured out where you can fish for the other ingredient for that recipe, which was called Deathfish or something like that.

They can't use BOTH arguments at once, really. If what we have is not the Real Thing, then it is merely a very fancy demo. In any event, demos have no monetary value!
Well, this IS EA that you're talking about, the company that had the balls to charge for the Splotch Creature Creator prior to Splotch's release, let alone put Sux0rROM in it.

For the people that were asking about same-sex marriages, it appears that the game does declare those as "Marriage", so supporters of same-sex marriages rejoice!
Does anyone know if the "Have 1st child" want is fulfilled by adoption for same-sex couples, since woolProp doesn't have a feature to get pregnant with someone of the same gender.
And as for the Fishing in Swimming Pools, it's confirmed that the Insane trait allows this. I don't see why EAxis made it so you would catch actual fish, though. Wouldn't it make more sense that they can catch things such as leaves, coins, or lost swimsuit pieces?
And Sponge Bath appears as an option for Inappropriate sims, and surprisingly fulfills as much hygiene as an actual shower/bath.
