If you use DC Backups, do you put the ccmerged_decrapped files in Packages or Overrides? BTW, I got my deep fryer to work. What actually did it, I don't know. I re-installed all custom content and I also updated all of my mods and my game. I hadn't updated my game to 1.34 because I didn't even know Sweet Treats was out yet. But Thanks for the suggestions, because one of them worked.

Here's the script error I get every time I start my game up. I have installed all content the same way and I have never deleted the ccmerged file. I install via the launcher, and then use the .dbc files. I do have backups of everything, but all of them come in sets, so if re-installation is the only possible solution anyone can think of I will try that and then let you know of the results.

I have used every Store Fix you have published, and although it worked miracles for my Tablet and Ice Cream Making Machine it does absolutely nothing for my Deep Fryer. It did at some point, but even then it would mess up every person in my town. I'm not saying that your fix is at fault, I'm just saying that the stupid thing does not work. If I tell my sim to go and deep fry something, they will begin the process and will start acting like it's a child and will do that stupid "cuddly crap" with the deep fryer saying stuff like "AWWWWW!!". And then, when the food is almost done, the sim will reset and the food won't be edible. The food sits on the handle of the deep fryer and my sim has to start the process over. But the food is never finished. I have some Error Scrips from NRAAS Error Trap if that would help. If you would like for me to post a video of what is happening I will try my hardest to do that as well. I'm not all that great with uploading stuff.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Please Help. For I Am Bored.

I have run out of things to do in Sims 3. I have all expansion packs and all stuff packs and yet I have become EXTREMELY bored with the game all together. Can any1 offer suggestions as to how to spice up my game? I didn't post this in the Sims forums because I don't believe they can truly help me with this problem since they don't have all of the awesome goodness of the mods on this site. All suggestions are welcome. Even the cruel and creepy ones.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Anach's Sims 3 Mods - Updated 24th August 2011

I just wanted to say that I tried to use your mods, which I love by the way, and I can't use them with Pets. For some reason having your mods in will not allow my sims to interact with the actual pets. When I take your mods out, everything is fine. So please update as soon as possible. Being without your mods is like not having AwesomeMod.

Thanks Tever and J. M. Pescado. I have tried without Anach's mods and still the same. Other issues include whenever I switch households, whether the Awesome way or Edit Town way, inactive households loose their relationships. By this I mean husbands and wives are no longer husbands and wives. They don't even know each other despite living in the same household. Same thing for random people living together, they don't know each other. Luckily, the parent-to-child relationships stay the same and sibling-to-sibling stay the same. I think this may have something to do with the scriptcache.package file, although I've deleted it before numerous times without these issues, so that is the only thing I can think of to cause this, but again, I don't know.

I have already said that I tried un-installing Town Life to see if that indeed caused the problem. The problems persisted after removing Town Life. Also, because Tever was talking about mod conflict and bad cc, I continued with mod conflict and bad cc. If it was an AM issue, other people would have the same problem. Either you installed something wrong, you have a mod conflict, or something stupid happened somewhere else, like bad CC.
Therefore: The only change is a replacement of old mods, Anach and Awesome, to their updated versions

I put it in a separate thread because I don't know what the cause is. I don't have any CC and the only mods installed are Anach's latest and AwesomeMod. There's not really anything that could be installed improperly because nothing has changed as far as new mods are concerned. The only change is a replacement of old mods, Anach and Awesome, to their updated versions, which is the reason for the "Possible" in the subject of the thread. But thanks anyway, I didn't really expect anything short of flaming but I suppose there is no true harm is hoping for the best. A possible solution in my case would be what I was hoping for.....

Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Possible AwesomeMod Issues
|

There are a couple of things that I have noticed since installing Town Life. I have of course tried un-installing and re-installing to see if that has changed anything, but that hasn't. The issues experienced are: - disappearing toddlers if made in CAS as part of a family, but not if they were born after being moved in
- missing bookcases after playing around a bit
- children and teenagers are not going to school, and are therefore failing every time I switch households
- sometimes (not all the time or as consistent with the children/teens not going to school) adults, young adults and elders are not going to work
The "not going to work thing", again is not a consistent thing. Some families are going to work sometimes. Some of them are a level above what I left them at as far as their job/promotions are concerned. And others have either had the status of "unemployed" or are on the verge of being fired. I don't know where this all is coming in at. I have tried playing without AwesomeMod to see if I can reproduce these issues and I have not been able to, so I suppose it is safe to assume that it is an AwesomeMod issue. If someone can offer a solution it would be much appreciated.

What can you suggest we do to help alleviate some of this pausing, and sims taking 10 human years to get in the car when going to work, get the clothes out of the laundry, get the mail, or anything else for that matter. I think my computer specs are pretty up to par, but if you want to know more about my computer in particular so you can make a suggestion I'll be happy to do so.
Are you playing on a Mac? If so you're screwed; everyone gets those pauses on a Mac, nothing you can do about it. I am on a mac, and I have learned that the custom worlds downloaded that are large and have a lot of things do slow it down and so I deleted a bunch of random sims and that helps as well. I don't know if I am running a good graphics card or not, but i'll let someone who recognizes the good from bad be the judge of that. Also, the lowering your screen size, sorry I forgot what it's called in the game, helps as well. It sucks I can't play the worlds that are the most amazing because it causes my game to lag to the point of me wanting to chunk my laptop at a pedestrian walking down the street. But anywho, thanks for the suggestions, they worked.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Barnacle Bay is Messed Up
|
on: 2011 March 14, 14:05:08

I have a problem with Barnacle Bay. For some reason, just out of the blue, Barnacle Bay produces building addresses and sim names with a long string of words. Something along the lines of Gameplay/Excel/Sim/Laura and blah blah blah. I was afraid to ask on Sims 3 forums as I didn't technically purchase this piece, but what may be the cause of this and how can I fix it. I thought it was just in Barnacle Bay, but even when I use sims from Barnacle Bay and transfer them to another town, the string of text is still there. It wasn't like this at first, so I tried to uninstall, and re-install Barnacle Bay, but no luck.

This has happened to me as well. Although, I can't exactly pinpoint who/what to attribute this bug to. I don't know if it is an EA thing or Awesomemod. I have made comments on the EA forums because others have had this problem as well. Sorry I can't offer a solution, but I can feel your pain. LOL
