I was able to run it as well under Crossover (a program for running Windows programs from Mac OS X, using WINE), but I didn't know what to do with the .package files it produced, and the launcher didn't seem to be able to do anything with them. I've double checked some stuff and I'm going to try again with one or two files right now, as a test, to see if they work. EDIT: Looks like I've got things working now, using the Compressorizer with "Decrapify" instead of "Normal" did the trick (though I suppose part of the problem here to begin with was that I did not realize that "Decrapify" was actually an option—imperfect Windows emulation means, in this case, that the control next to Decrapify did not appear, and I thought it was just text. Clicking where the control should be fixed it.)

Right then, I've tested some things out. Sadly, none of them worked, but here's what I've done / learned: - Tried just playing the game to see if the launcher was lying. Result: Launcher was not lying, but installer was, as it reported success on everything, when only items that I did not download from here installed correctly.
- Deleted everything in DCBackup and DCCache, then reinstalled everything through the launcher. Result: Installer reported success on everything, as before.
- Tried running the game after doing that, without quitting the launcher first (since everything definitely showed up 'installed' then). Result: Just as before, only the content not downloaded from here was installed. The installer lied about the rest, and relaunching the launcher reflects the fact that they are not installed.
Now, where to go from here?

Hullo all, new here (save your shouts of welcoming, just throw money, thanks). I've downloaded some Store stuff from here, run it through the Compressorizor (which is possible on a Mac if you do what I do and run it under Crossover), and attempted to install it. The items go into the launcher's Downloads pane just fine, and once the installer goes through them, they show up under Installed Content too.
So, having finished installing, I quit the launcher, yes? Now, the next time I open up the launcher, the things I installed are still in Downloads, but they have disappeared from Installed Content and the little 'installed' icon that shows up in the Downloads pane is gone from them. Non-Store objects I've downloaded in the past stay installed; what's wrong here?
Did you bother to check if they are actually in the game? The launcher is a compulsive liar. I've not tried that yet; I'm a bit busy with some other stuff at the moment so I'll check that out in a bit. I suppose the only problem then would be how to uninstall them—not that I'd want to, but little things like that bug me, not being able to do something I should be able to, even if I'd never actually want to do it. =\
