TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The Sims Medieval

I felt like playing Medieval again, so I reinstalled the whole game and patched it to 2.0.113 which seems to be the latest patch. Started the game, worked perfectly until I was going to create a monarch. The loading screen just kept going and going without anything happening. After 10 minutes of waiting I turned it of. Googled the problem and it seems like I'm not the only one with this problem. Someone mentioned earlier in this thread that the loading screen is extremely slow after one of the patches. Does this mean that I should just keep it running the whole day and just wait for something to happen? Is there any solution?
Edit: I reinstalled the game again, but this time I only updated to 1.2.3. Now I can create a monarch without any problems, but whenever I doubleclick on my sims avatar to change camera view to whatever my sims is doing, the game crashes. Whats wrong?

Before I patched it I couldn't finish any quests. After I patched it, the game is getting shut down by Windows "data execution prevention". (I'm not sure that is the right word, as I don't use my OS in english.)
In any case, for some reason I cannot shut it down. When I check the system settings and try to put Sims Medieval in the list of which programs the Data Execution thing should ignore, I just get some pop up saying I can't shut it down. Or really "This program must have the data execution prevention turned on".
Am I the only one who can't turn it off? Isn't it weird that the game HAVE to have it turned on? What can I do about this?

Uh, but I followed the instructions from the second post?
I removed all my downloads, the .dll file and resourcefiles. Then I made a new map for all my packages and downloaded the new resourcefile in the post, and put it in my mods folder. Tried to start the game, but got the 0x0175dcbb error. Tried to put back the .dll file in case that was the problem, and it didn't work.
Wasn't that what the post told me to do?

Err, I followed all the steps from the thread someone linked. Now I can't start the game. Instead, I'm getting error code 0x0175dcbb whenever I'm trying to start it. I assumed it might be because Nraas no cd crack doesn't work properly, as it is in the mod folder. (Maybe all my mods stopped working.) I tried to put the d3dx9_31.dll file back into the bin folders, in case the problem might've come from when I removed 'em. Didn't work tho. I tried to google the error code, someone said that the only thing to do is to reinstall the whole darn game. Someone else said that fixing the SKU thing is the solution. Trouble is that I can't seem to find the SKU thing in regedit, when I'm looking for the path that the googled thread was telling me about. It seems weird to me that the SKU numbers should have randomly changed just because of some tinkering with the mods/packages folders. Is there anything I can do? What have I done wrong? I don't want to freaking reinstall the darn thing AGAIN! It feels like I'm spending more time having trouble with bugs and reinstalling/patching/trying to fix the game, than actually playing..

I deleted all my cachefiles before trying it out, yes. As for framework, I'm unsure what it means. Isn't it about the helper monkey thing?
According to delphys dashboard, it says I have "common" framework for all my expansions. I'm not sure what that means.

Now this is weird. I used Delphy's Dashboard to remove the corrupt files and then I started the game. I still had the same problems, so it didn't work. I DID notice something though: The mods from my packages folder was still in the game! Is there some other folder where the game sort of duplicate those files? I had some package files put in the documents/ea/sims3/downloads aswell, but I had removed those before I started the game. I have also deleted the cache files.
So, how the heck do I remove a package file, once and for all?!

I don't have any graphic effects, such as fire. I don't have any books at the bookstores either! I have removed every mod that has anything to do with books. I have also removed nomosaic, and "babayagas arty fartsy clutter" thing, since I read that it might have something to do with this. I have checked my packages map a couple of times, to see if I could find anything that looked like a hack of some sort. As far as I can see, I only have simple furniture and some hairstyles/clothes/patterns. That, and Awesomemod. I also tried to turn off the censor stuff from awesomemod, but it didn't make any difference.
So, what mods could be causing this annoyance?

Oh man. I have reinstalled everything, patched it up without any problems and I downloaded AM. I started the game directly from the TS3EP03.exe (original from a fresh install, not a cracked version) and now it says that I'm not using a legal version of the sims. The game shuts down directly after the first loading screen. If god exists, he must be in some kind of Eaxian anti piracy crew. Edit: I installed Nraas no cd and now it finally works! Just one last problem: my screen resolution is f-ed up now that I've reinstalled it. I can't get to the option screen either, because it's too far to the left. I can only see the half right of the screen. Is there any way to change the game resolution without turning on the game?

I've downloaded the MTS patch thingy, works fine! I have begun the reinstallment of the game now, hopefully everything will work. I think I'm gonna try out the AM, I must admit I haven't before. Can't wait, since it does sound awesome! I think it might be a better idea not to add my old families tho, as the neighborhood I was playing in was a major fuck up. (I had the problem with NPC's gathering at a single building and then stand there for days, peeing, puking and sleeping. Didn't meet any stars or vampires either, weird.) Or will the patch fix this? Speaking of the patch itself, and LN bugs: I have noticed that my sims get stuck in their movement for a couple of seconds from time to time. Or better yet: They get stuck in their movement like once every 10 second. It took me 2 sims hours to get my sim to walk 10 meters to get to the bar and buy a darn drink because of this. The time still keeps on going, and all the other animations aswell. It seems like just the sims are having this problem. So I don't think it's a regular framerate problem, and there wasn't any difference when I tried to change my graphic options. Does anyone else have this problem, and does the latest patch fix it? I feel like I could go on forever, I probably shouldn't.

Haha, The Sims is probably the game that I've had to reinstall the most!
But a reinstall it is, then! I assume I can't keep my sims families, as it might make the game turn into the holocaust again, right? And I shouldn't uninstall the thing the "normal" way, since then I guess the stuff in my computers registry won't be removed?
Heck, is there any guide for this? When I search the forum a billion of threads pops up about various problems, but I can't seem to find a more specific guide about removing all the bullshit that comes with The Sims..

Don't use a cracked .exe, you can't patch your game if you use those. I've read putting the originals back when patching works but it never has for me. Use awesomemod or Nraas no cd mod. Cracked .exes are evil, at least for Sims 3, the Sims 2 ones still allowed you to update.
I googled for Nraas no cd mod, and got a 5kb large file without any explanation on how to use it.. Sorry for my stupidity, but what do I do with it?

New member here, I'm sorry for any noob behaviour.
I tried installing the new patch from the launcher, as it have worked before. (No, I don't have a legal copy. I know that it was probably a bad idea.) Anyway, it installs normally but when close to 100%, it says "Invalid file found" and then it shuts down. Instead, the darn program started to install one of the old patches, and I mean REALLY old patches. I thought I already had them all, but the installation worked fine. So far, so good? Tried to install the 6.1 patch again, and still got the same problem though. I have googled the problem and someone said that it might work if I remove the crack and put the original TS3EP03.exe back, and so I did. The problem didn't go away, so now I ask you.
Pwease help me solve this problem, before I commit seppuku?
(Oh, and I also tried downloading the patch linked in OP's post, problem didn't go away..)
