NEVER done in *any* of the Sims games...

It has always been a pet beef of mine that the in game radios/stereo/DJ booth/TVs are so limited in their choices of content. Not the "what" of the content, but the "where"... as in Hard Drive directory/folder. I have all my media files on my M:\<MEDIA> drive. Having to make copies of it on my P:\<Personal> drive is wasteful and infuriating. I should be able to tell the in game media players where my content already is rather than being forced to move/copy it over.

I have looked in my OS's registry hoping that I might find a media pointer value that I could edit, but no. So I am guessing that it is hard-coded into the game. Which makes me further guess that this would require a hacked, buy-able game-object.

One possible stumbling block... *IF* EA is following proper programming/security guidelines (BWAHAHAHAHA), then the game should not have any access outside of it's own directory structures. Perhaps this is why someone has not yet made this mod already.

Everyone got that? Don't bother Lord Fauntlerlol with specific requests. And please be sure to address him properly: the "L" in Lord is always capitalized. We don't want him to delete his account or anything.

Um. Did you just pick a game at random to start modding for? Call me cray-cray, but I think most people really wait until they understand how the game works or read up on it before they start modding for it.

How about some freaky mod like 'Blow the candles'...only it aint a candle!   
And maybe put it in 'Friendly' actions so it could be for 'friends with benefits' kind of sim relationships. 
And if your sim blows out your bosses candle, your sim gets a raise and a promotion.

Or...

whatever tickles your fancy.


 

Oh, hell we're going to judge you on your username.  I mean, how much is there that we can judge you on?  We don't know you, and we don't like you.  Furthermore, you don't need to know someone's history to say someone is an idiot or noob.  Since you've apparently never modded for the Sims before, the label "noob" is quite accurate.  Also, how the hell do we know how good a modder you are?  We don't KNOW you.  Lastly, it would have been much better if you had just searched for what was out there, and if you didn't see something you wanted, you could have written that mod for yourself.

If you wanted to be believable, you should have chosen a different name. It's difficult to put on the reasonable act when your username includes "LOL" not once, but twice. Besides, if you were really curious what players wanted, you would have checked out the AM request thread.

This isn't trolling, sweetie.  If you'd have bothered to read this forum for any period of time, you'd have noticed that we flame people like you who make stupid posts happily.  And anyway, I thought the point of modding was what YOU found lacking in the game, not other people.  Look, if we want something mod-wise, we ask Pescado for it, not some some noob modder.
