I think there's a quick way to solve it too. Apparently society frowns on my idea of eliminating everyone.

Aye, basicaly if I delete the the maxis hairstyles, but put hairstlyes that appear genetic(IE Black, brown, red or blonde, rather than custom), in the CAS and body shop, will the game use these instead of the maxis hairtones? When starting a new neighbourhood. Obviously trying to delete the maxis styles will cause existing neighbourhoods problems.

Using datagen to make some moded hairstyles from MTS2 by Melodie9 and Natrobo move from custom to genetic,(These hairstyles are on todlers through to elder) creating a new neighbourhood, deletling the maxoid townies, with notownie regen in place, deleting the maxis original hairstyles in CAS in game(Which use crappy unrelated hairstyles at toddler, child and sometimes teen),  deleteing the no townie regen hack. And lastly  going into the neighbourhood again. (Will I ever have such a run on sentance again?)Will the regening maxoid townies blow up? Will they accept the improved hair? Will I have to try this myself? If no answers are forthcoming I'll put my lips and game on the line when I get my copy of NL cos I was planning on experimenting then unistalling for a clean install.
4  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: who's playing this game? on: 2005 August 07, 19:38:09
Well derail back to the original topic Who's playing the game.  I started a degree in Genetics, did 18 months and dropped out. That was several years ago, I work in an electronics factory as a materials operator.(I drag stuff from the delivery area to the area it's sed, find out when it's due, decide if we need earlier deliveries etc)I have a very good mathematical faculty, I tend to when given a task proceed in a very logical manner, however, I read a huge amount of fantasy and comedy books and watch the same types of film. I used to do alot of PNP roleplaying, both as DM and PC. I enjoy logic puzzles. I enjoy puns. I enjoy biting sarcasm. I dislike authority but tend to overindulge a paticular habit if not told to. I'm an addictive personality, I enjoy striving toward being the best at what I do, but I'm easily distracted from that goal when I am better than the average at whatever I'm doing. I enjoy making people laugh, though I'm often full of rage or sorrow or frustration. So I suppose I play the Sims2 because I can indulge all my fractured wants.

Ack I now see J. M. Pescardo  is indeed is way to freaking awesome for me, he is already experimenting with this problem.I had ignored any mod or thread with experimental in it. Burning coffee (/sigh bye bye caffiene) for now.

So I was rooting around with SimPE and saw in my neighbourhood that every time I go downtown it seems to generate a new barrista employee. I installed an espresso bar on a standard community lot, and everytime I send someone there it generates a new useless character.(Hey if they're going downtown to public woowoo, it's not ALLWAYS good to have them collapse on the sidewalk when they get home, just most of the time Smiley ) I have now installed the notownieregen hack hoping this will stop the accululation of drones, will it? Or should I set fire to the coffee bar? I'm fearfull of the x085 itteration problem rearing its ugly head soon. Can I elimante these fools without tracking down all the tokens in SimPE? Which I fear will be impossible with the ones already generated, I could note in future who generated each one in future and eliminate them, but removing the coffee bar and making sure my controlables go down with more energy would be easier. Anyway I ramble, any advice appreciated. I hope my lips will remain intact.
