Would you be willing to fix the uber-fast skilling bug that came with the Uni patch?  Overwatch fixes it; but it also makes my game freeze around midnight-ish, Sim time.
Are there more details on this?

It has to do with the protests on campus.  They give a moodlet that increases skilling, but neglect to clear out the skilling modifier when it expires:  http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2013/03/sim-learn-skills-insanly-fast.html

The weird part is, my Sims have never held (or been to) a protest.

Same here... I don't even have the university expansion, yet my skills are so stacked that my sim went from level 6 to level 8 cooking just from making one meal.  I used fixall, which made things normal for a couple sim days before it started bugging out again.

This is a very old annoyance, been around since the start of the game... I looked into making a mod for it myself, but I couldn't figure it out.  It might be in the core, so figured I'd ask here.  I'm looking for a way to turn off, or at least slow down relationship gain when playing for tips.  Getting tired of being best friends with every sim in the entire city just because I send my sim to make some money at the park every now and then.  Thanks :)

So I went through and did a mass purge of everyone's career data, and the errors stopped.  Now it's just a matter of going back and narrowing down which sim is causing it.  Thanks! Cheesy

Trying to use awesomemod in a custom world.
Having the same issue, and also in a custom world. Maybe that's what's up.

I thought that for a moment, but I don't think it's the sole reason.  I've made 3 custom worlds, and this is the first one it's happened on.  It's also the first one to have this many sims, but i have the population cap disabled in my awesome config, so unless that's broken it shouldn't matter.

Trying to use awesomemod in a custom world.  Multiple beta tests without any mods went smoothly, so I decided to put in awesomemod.  Less than a minute into game I start getting the flagrant errors.
Flagrant System Error: http://www.zeppyster.com/Images/Mekare/flag1.jpg

Seem to get this repeatedly and randomly, i'm guessing it is not directly related to my individual sim's actions (it goes off reguardless of what I'm doing, even just standing around).
Needless to say, turning off story progression makes it stop, but I'd like to get it working normally.  Smiley
Trouble is it only happens in this custom world, even in brand new saves.  I realize this may be out of awesomemod's jurisdiction, but figured it can't hurt to post and see if maybe it's something small and simple i've overlooked.

Removed everything except awesomemod and it still happens, but for the sake of this report, here are my other mods:
MasterController + Cheats
Porter
DebugEnabler  (my awesomemod debug commands is toggled off)
Inge's invisible floor rugs
DasMatze's Skylights
Handful of hairstyles/outfits.

I have all expansions except University, 70-90s stuff, and diesel stuff installed.  About half are legit, half Arrr'd.

The world is primarily made up of imported Community Lots and Houses/Sims from Sunset Valley, Bridgeport and Twinbrook, as well as some made from scratch ones without any unofficial CC.
112 premade sims, and 6 premade pets in total.  The world is a mostly flat grid, so terrain shouldn't be an issue.
Population spawners are all toggled off except for pets and celebrities.

Any ideas would be appreciated.  <3

I did a quick search on genetics and didn't see this issue, so sorry if it's already been mentioned.
I'm wondering if you can work your awesome magic on the offspring of our pets.  Apparently if a beige horse has a baby with a brown horse, the resulting spawn will look something like this:
Link to prevent stretching.

*facepalm*
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Pets patch - all CC borked! on: 2011 November 21, 11:01:47
Just tried both... the only CC i ever have is store content and awesomemod, plus some of buzzlers things.  Ran all the store packages through Grant's.. didn't seem to fix anything, though it said it did.  Cats still teleport across the world, chairs still clip..  dunno.  So I restored originals and tried TSR. Same thing.

I guess until they put out an official release I'll be putting the game on the shelf yet again. So glad I don't pay for this shit, lol.

So.. I got curious and decided to get an Arrr'd copy of Pirates and Nobles... Hate to say it... but it's kinda fun, lol.
I just really wish there was a modding community for it.  They actually fixed some of the things that bothered me most from base game (wtf, right?), but there's still no way to keep your NPC family at home.

My monarch accidently sent her husband to the pit while visiting the town square, and didn't even recognize him as the one she married during some random quest till after she got the broken heart moodlet from his death.  (She has strict rules on fighting in public  Grin)

Just kind of sad that I've been playing nothing but the monarch, she has 3 kids and a now dead husband and still feels like a single sim.  Only one of the kids comes home at night (yes, there are enough beds)... and all the rest only wander around the castle in the morning before spending the rest of the day at the town square.

Hmm, yea I just set priority... I always keep the window focused, but I didn't do the LAA stuff. I'll try that and see ^^;

ETA:
Well...  I followed all the steps, including the one for 32bit OS (I'm on XP, but have 4 gigs of ram installed).
Using LAA seems to cause CAW to crash before even loading up my world. It gives me this error: "Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt."
Moments later I got a blue screen crash.  Now even though I've reinstalled CAW I'm getting that error, though the blue screen hasn't re-appeared.

My boot.ini looks like this:
[boot loader]
timeout=1
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn /3GB

10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Create-A-World Tips, Tricks, and Annoyances on: 2011 September 04, 00:47:54
I'm having some major crashing issues with generations and EIG now.

Every time I try to save, it will begin saving, and 30-40 minutes later I will get that lovely "Sims 3 has encountered a problem and must close" error report screen.   What confuses me most is my last world I made pre-generations was over twice the size of the one I'm working on, and very rarely crashed.  Now out of the 5 hours straight I've been redo-ing and attempting to save, it has only actually completed saving one time.

I've tried using task manager to give the exe more memory access, but that doesn't seem to work either.  It also doesn't seem to matter if I add 1 or 20 sims, it's always the same result.  I've followed every MTS post about clearing caches, removing cc, closing CAW in the background while I work.. still no luck. I'm guessing its a new generations memory leak, because it's a windows error screen and not a sims one, although I never alt-tab or defocus the EIG window while working on it.

Anyone know of any way to fix this?  My world is so close to finished, I'm just on the final steps of using EIG to add the townies.  Would hate to give up now. :/
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The Sims Medieval on: 2011 July 20, 21:41:47
I still wouldn't play it unless someone makes a save game editor so I can build my town and its health without going through the stupid quests.  Even the kp cheat isn't that effective, since with low kingdom health all my sims are constantly emo when playing sandbox quest.. :/

Would love to see some kind of mod action on this game, because it does have a little potential.
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The Sims Medieval on: 2011 May 02, 17:12:59
You made it to 1.2? I'm still on 1.1 Cheesy

Though this game got boring fast.. even in sandbox free to play quest you still cant control your family members, so whats the point? :/
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is it possible? on: 2011 April 10, 04:17:35
I like the sound of that too.. Ive recently resurrected my old S2 medieval 'hood since Sims Medieval was a pile of garbage. Never thought about it before, but it's a pretty cool idea ^^;
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 December 16, 02:17:26
Dunno... I had the mood problem constantly, but buying a better bed fixed it.  I have been playing for days without running into it again.
I'll also note for the record, that I have my sim do laundry once a day as well. Moods are still fine.
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 December 07, 19:59:02
Well, So far so good... after replacing my bed with the DuoDreamer from HELS, I haven't run into the mood bug again.  So for me at least, the cheap bed theory is holding water.
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 December 06, 23:39:51
Thanks, I guess that makes sense... i've had my poor simmy sleeping on the same cheap bed for almost her entire YA lifespan... no wonder she's such an emo.  Gonna get a more expensive bed and see what happens.
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 December 06, 17:34:34
I'm having a very odd mood issue.

Even with eating ambrosia (75 mood), getting engaged (50 mood), going to the spa (30 mood), and throwing an excellent party (30 mood), all on at once, I can barely get her elated.

Her traits are Handy, Neat, Perfectionist, Frugal, and Natural Cook.   The only mods I use are awesomemod, and a bunch of Buzzler's minor tweaks. None of which should really be affecting the mood.  She's the only sim in the household this happens to, and its a household of 4.  It's as if she has a permenant -150 mood buff hidden somewhere, but not sure how or why it's happened to her.

I've tried a few things:
resetsim, exporting/importing again, rebooting the game, moving her to new lots, changing her traits, mood manager reward, .. I even used ctrl shift click to stack on as many buffs as I could... it's seemingly impossible to make this sim happy.

Anyone else having this issue?
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Create-A-World Tips, Tricks, and Annoyances on: 2010 December 05, 08:38:45
All the rabbit holes are in the middle of town, and there's no slopes in the map at all except for 1 hill and the edges, it's definately slopes.  I do have late night, and the only Celebrities are the goths, so that might be it.  Does Late Night have a celebrity quota I need to fill? It doesn't make much sense though since maps like sunset valley and twinbrook still operate just fine without celebrities.

I didn't even notice the rebuild routing data option until just now... so I'll give that a try too.

ETA: Well I went over my map with a fine tooth comb, and I may have found the culprit.  I turned on the view routing data tool and found 1 discrepancy where the sea level was a little too high and "invisible water" was blocking the way for any sims to get to the beach.  I'm hoping by squishing this I'll have a working map.

Thank you both! ^_^

Sorry to revive a dead topic, but I didn't want to make a new one and this seemed like a fitting place for it.

I've made a world with CAW.. I was basically looking just to make a hood with wide open space and room to grow with future expansions, similar to the old TS2 maps. It's just one big flat grid.  Well,.. Medium sized grid.  Anyway I exported the Sunset Valley sims, because they were always my favorite... and since CAW doesn't allow us to place npcs yet, my world is basically a bunch of empty lots to fit them into once I got ingame.
After I started a new game and placed all the families though, I seem to get massive lag spikes.  It will run for about 5 seconds, then freeze for 10 on an endless loop, making the game unplayable.

I'm not sure what's causing this.. I thought it might be the game not recognizing my cloned sims as population, and therefor trying to overstuff the neighborhood with NPCs when the town is already full,.. but even with only a few families placed it seemed to work for about an hour before the spikes started again.

Anyone else having this issue? Or know what might be causing it?

ETA: I also sent my map and savegame to some friends, and they had the same issue. So it's definately the map, and not my comp.

No, I don't.. ^^

ETA: ok, looked it up.. now I do! Tongue

Though I did like Lestat..
21  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AM is Borking Vampires. on: 2010 December 02, 06:02:26
Not true! She said sometime before, maybe multiple times, that Lestat was based on herself... or her alter ego. Therefor she was writing umpteen novels about herself. =)

Either way, i'm a fan of the books, not the lady. Head up her ass or not, the woman is a great storyteller.
22  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AM is Borking Vampires. on: 2010 December 02, 05:18:49
I hate both twilight and true blood.. if it weren't obvious by my name, I'm an Anne Rice vampire fan.  I prefer the old pile of dust as soon as they hit the sun vampires, where only the ancients who are over 1,000 years old can tolerate it.  So yea.. i pretty much hate everything about the Late Night Vamps, lol.  It gave me something to do though.. I went and downloaded some weapons from MTS and went on a shooting spree, cleansing Bridgeport of all the fairy vampires (aside from the mixologists for plasma that keep respawning.. I may have to burn that building down to completely eradicate them).

All is right in the world! ^_^
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 November 30, 12:12:32
I've been having troubles with groups and vampires. I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same problem, so...

Several of my sims are friends with or dating vampires. If they invite the vampire to their home lot, a group is automatically formed. Then, the second that the vampire arrives at the lot, he/she decides that they are incredibly bored and very literally turns right around and leaves. Even if I have my sim out on the sidewalk waiting for them, I don't have time to interact with them.

This never happens with non-vampires when they are invited over, or if I invite a vampire out. However, it's incredibly annoying.

I've had this happen to me several times, but with non-vamps. It is indeed incredibly annoying.

Further to a couple of posts a few pages back, I've also been having an issue with sounds not shutting off as they should. A couple of times, I've gone into build/buy mode briefly and then returned to live mode only to find the build/buy music is still playing, along with the normal sounds. Saving, quitting to desktop and reloading fixes the issue, so it's not the end of the world, but it's still rather irritating.

I've experience both those bugs as well... very annoying. I especially hat ethe grouping up. Just because you invite someone over doesnt mean its an outing... i wish we could zap groups forever, they were stupid in TS2, and they've reached a new low in TS3.

Thank you so much, Buzz... you are my hero! One of my absolute favorite modders by far. I've been pining for a way to make new sims without having to make new towns to preserve all my alts ever since indie stone was torn away from us all.

I know I'm late to the party, but I just found this mod, lol.  Love you long time! <3
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 November 10, 08:35:42
I demonlished the stairs, tried them in the only 2 other places they would fit on my lot, still wouldnt work... ultimately i pulled them all out and put in an elevator, which seems to be working fine ^^ (although it looks a little silly in my tiny house, lol)
