TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Bleakburn Estate (A Victorian Gothic Manor/Residential Lot)

Bleakburn Estate is a Gothic revival -styled Victorian mansion I built for my first Supernatural family. In the pictures it's located at Twinbrook but it should fit most neighbourhoods quite well. Lot size: 40x40 Price: § 250 487 The house has three floors with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. There are enough beds for seven adults/kids and one baby/toddler (plus a crypt for a vampire). There is also basic equipment for both cats and dogs. The lot comes with Bonehilda. Main floor: Entrance hall, kitchen, formal dining, living room, study, bathroom. 2nd floor: Hallway, master bedroom, nursery, children's bedroom, guest room, two bathrooms, laundry 3rd floor: Hallway, alchemy lab, guest room At the yard there is a small pond, garden shed with basement (a crypt and a nectar cellar), space for vegetable garden, hot-tub, play ground and fire-pit. I used a lot of store stuff (downloaded from here as .package files) and stuff from EA worlds (Riverview, Sunlit Tides, Barnacle Bay, Lucky Palms). Best to have it all, I would say! I did playtest the lot with my current family for a few sim-weeks but it's always possible there are some "bugs".

Thanks! I'm glad to hear it looks ok. I kind of tried to make the house fit the theme of the next expansion as well - magic and stuff. Building these detailed lots takes such a long time I don't want to do it too often. One thing that really bugs me is that at the last minute I had to change the layout so that there is no straight access from hallway to kitchen. There was a weird thing with the stairs, the sims kept complaining how they could not use the stairs even though there was nothing blocking their access. So the only thing I could do was to change the location of the stairs to a much less logical position.

I find it a bit over-landscaped, but otherwise I like it quite a bit? In addition to the store content, did you use any CC?
Thanks. Yes, I kinda suck at landscaping. I like decorating the interiors much moor. Plus the lady of that house is sort of Hyacinth Bucket -type: Neurotic, snobbish etc. So I tried to make the house reflect her personality and over-did it on purpose sometimes. I added the one third party CC I used (a chimney).

This is just another big house for posh and rich sims. Nothing really exceptional, I'm afraid, but something that turned out alright enough for me to want to share it. And since it uses a ton of store content, I thought this was a good place to post it. (Many thanks for all "donators" here!) People have had some problems while downloading my lots over at MTS, so I've also made a blog where I post my lots in a .package format (see my signature). This one here is a regular simpack version. Any feedback and criticism is welcome. I did playtest the house for about one sim week but it's entirely possible I missed something that's not working as it should. Beautyberry Park is a house for very posh and rich Sim families. It's a big Colonial mansion with 3 living floors: 5 bedrooms and 3,5 bathrooms. (There's enough space for 8 adults/teens/kids and 2 babies/toddlers.) The house has practically everything a succesful Sim could need for a happy life: For example a pool, hot-tub, bar, grand piano, vegetable garden and nectary. All rooms are spacious and there should be enough space for the upcoming pets and their beds, scratching posts etc. The house is decorated with a mix of traditional and contemporary styles - there's not really any theme except that it's definitely upper class.
The house is placed on a 30x40 lot and costs about § 272 000. Requires WA, AMB, LN, GEN and FL, OLS. Here's the file: Beautyberry ParkThe pics: Third party CCCast yourself a chimney by armiel at MTS

Thank you for your answer. I took a look at the decrapifying program and process, and it seems way too complicated for my skills. I can't even run programs with DOS. Maybe I could ask my brother who is a computer programmer by profession for help, but he's not that interested in these never-ending Sims 3 problems - or even the whole Windows system nowdays.
I will try to install Riverview by using the other methods I've found on this site. If that doesn't help, I guess that's it. Goodbye to Riverview. Too bad I can't stand Sunset Valley's design.
Or maybe I'll just make a bonfire of everything Sims 3 related. Sigh.
Edit: Okay, with the help from my brother I managed to go through the decrapifying program. I was able to load my Riverview save. Yay! But one more question: Will this keep happening again with Riverview? Should I just move all my families and houses to Sunset Valley and continue there? Thanks again!

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Can't load Riverview saves

Okay, first post from a nervous newbie. I'm not great with computers, I'm casual to gaming (but a long time Sims player), and not a native English speaker so my apologies for any spelling/grammar mistakes. But I would love to be able to play the Sims 3. It just seems like a full time job (and I already have one) to even get the game working, and I'm getting desperate and very mad. The problem: I bought WA (don't have High End Loft) and finally had time to start playing since it's my holiday. I started building a custom Riverview, creating new families and installing downloaded houses etc. A lot of work but I was happy with the result. Couldn't wait to start playing the game. But since this is Sims 3 we are talking about, I should have known it's not that easy. Today my Riverview saves completely started refusing to load. The bar goes maybe 10-20 % up and then the game crashes to desktop. I have googled and searced - found out that other people have had similar problems. But I simply haven't found out what I should do to get the game working again. I have reinstalled the game from scratch just before I started this Riverview project. Now I have tried to uninstall and reinstall Riverview several times but it doesn't help. I've tried removing my mods, no effect. The save files don't seem to be corrupted, at least not the way it was with the system errors before. I found the help sector on this forum and read the instructions there, but I just don't get what I should do. If there is any way to save my neighbourhood, any advice would be welcomed with much appreciation. Gaming has never ever felt this frustrating. I know I don't understand that much about computers or programming (being a social worker...) or whatever, but up until this game I've been able to play my games without much trouble. And if there has been trouble, I've managed it with help from google and forums, including this one. But now Riverview saves just refure to load and it seems I've once again wasted time with the game. My sincere thanks for any advice.
