1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 'Chair placement around tables' glitch. on: 2012 July 16, 12:43:06
The last time I had that problem, it was because that particular table or in my case the set of tables and chairs together, were from a CC site that hadn't updated their stuff since before Pets.  Try dropping it through a RIG fix program, or just remove that table.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is Anyone Using Process Monitor Now? on: 2012 May 14, 02:49:00
Funny, works fine for me.  What version of Process Monitor are you using?  Are you using the right filter settings?  Things changed after Pets, remember.

My settings, let me show you them.
Version 2.93
Process Name Contains = TS3W.exe = include
Event Class = Profiling = exclude

Not that I'm sure it's necessary to exclude the Profiling, but I do.

Take that equation one step further.  No presents = no reason to write a thank you note.   Seriously, why would you want to write a note to someone who didn't give you a gift?  Could perhaps this little snag be why the action is cancelled?

Mind you, I've never bothered with this interaction so I can't in all faith say that EA doesn't allow you to write thank you notes to imaginary people.  Game logic is not the same as regular people logic.
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims game keeps crashing - needs moar RAMs? on: 2011 October 27, 00:37:07
Man, I wish I had the money to just out and buy a brand new upgraded computer when all I need is a small hardware update.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Decrapified Store content missing in downloaded lots on: 2011 July 17, 22:35:26
All right.  I semi-fixed my problem by replacing my decrapped Store content with all of Moryrie's untouched files.  I left the decrapified lot installed to test, and it worked fine.  I might try launcher installing the original lot for an untouched copy of that, but I don't see that it's really needed.

Whelp, now I know.
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Decrapified Store content missing in downloaded lots on: 2011 July 17, 20:36:05
What makes me confused is why decrapping the Lot file doesn't make things match up.  And even more confusing is that some people seem to have managed to get these lots working without knowing exactly what it was that fixed it.

I don't download lots often, but I want the interiors to look like they were intended to on those rare occasions that I AM seduced by some sweet architecture.  As is the case with those candlelight castles.  Meh.  I'm going to try a couple more things and then give up on it.
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Decrapified Store content missing in downloaded lots on: 2011 July 16, 23:12:12
All right, seems I'm always a little behind the curve.  I JUST discovered this problem when I tried to install a sweet castle from MTS and all the banners got replaced by butterflies.  I've tried installing via launcher, extracting the s3p to a .package file and plopping that in my Library, and doing both after decrapifying.  I've cleared cache, and the store content is still not showing.  I understand from my meager searchings that this is just something that happens and no one really knows why it doesn't work like it should.

I just wanted to see if anyone had figured out the proper combination of installation and decrapification to get the store content to shown in downloaded lots.  If it's not just random EA craziness and I'm just screwed.  That castle has a LOT of windows and furniture to replace by hand if I'm screwed into doing it manually.
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2011 March 09, 22:29:46
I have a question about this "new" version of Barnacle Bay.  Has anyone uninstalled the old one and installed the new one to see if there are any differences?  I would like to think they added some stuff, or something - but I know better than to actually think it happened without proof.
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Outdoor Living Shit on: 2011 February 04, 03:06:45
The patch borked CAW, which happened to me before I even installed this SP.  But a simple uninstall-redowload-reinstall has fixed CAW for me.  I haven't noticed it doing anything terrible since then, so I assume it works as well as it ever has.
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Outdoor Living Shit on: 2011 February 04, 02:59:03
I don't mind the new splash, it's funny and Springlike.  Besides, there are mods for that if you really hate it.

I was a little taken aback by how little this set contained. But hey, it's not like I spent money on it.  If it was worth the money, I might have put it on my 'things to spend money on someday' list.  But despite a couple of nice accents, like the scrollwork wall candle thing and a nice wall plant, it's just a little lacking.  I didn't even notice the hair.

Eh, between the two Neat freaks and the Maid, SOMEONE is always doing laundry on my main lot.  It may well have something to do with it.  Guess I should load up the game again and poke them until it explodes again.

I want the fruit trees to have a blooming period before harvest.  I also want a little red wagon and an ice cream cone.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: TS3 Store Stuff Made Shiftable Now with CURTAINS on: 2010 December 10, 23:57:58
No, I get what Heli is saying.  The Base wall lamps became shiftable after the LN patch, so you don't need a mod to get them to move.
I took out my folder of shiftable mods I'd had installed and double checked - most all of the non-store EA wall lamps are shiftable without a mod. None of my EA Store wall lamps will budge, though.

I'm really not sure what the Gelydh wall lights do, since we could already shift most of them.  Maybe they weren't all shiftable until this most recent patch or something?  I haven't been paying that much attention to the issue until just now.
At any rate, I'm going to remove the redundant wall light replacements from my folder of shiftable mods and put the folder back in my game now.
14  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Random Crash to Desktop on: 2010 December 09, 17:59:18
Ugh.  That's just a Large Address Aware fix for the stupid, marketed as a magic fix-all.  Since LAA was supposed to have been adjusted in LN, that 'fix' should be redundant.
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Bunk beds and glass floors on: 2010 December 08, 22:49:54
Top floor of the Chinese Dojo has mirrors on opposite walls.  The first mirror reflects the second mirror, and if you have a sim standing in front of the reflected mirror, you can see that sim in the  reflected reflection - but the first mirror reflects as a non-reflective surface in that double reflection.  I noticed this on the last vacation I made my sims take.  So I assume that having mirrored floors and ceilings would do the same thing.

I hope that made sense.  Reading my own text, I think I made it more confusing than it is.
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 December 08, 18:18:21
It's not just the +10 Beds, it's the +15 as well.  That's what I upgraded my current fambly to, and it just made the mood drop worse.  I haven't gone all out and gotten the top of the line beds yet - I get tired of seeing the same beds used in every house.
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Bunk beds and glass floors on: 2010 December 07, 04:55:17
I'm trying to figure out why there's a top AND a bottom bunk as separate objects.  Can't we just place the one marked top bunk, move it up and place another top bunk underneath it on the ground?  Or is there really a difference, and Sims won't use them if they aren't correctly placed?

A mirrored ceiling would be interesting.
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 December 06, 23:43:48
Even though I was pretty sure what would happen, I started up my game and upgraded everyone's beds.
If anything, their moods have dropped FURTHER since then.  So if it's a bed issue, the negative drop may be related to how high a bonus the bed gives.  But I'm still not sure it's completely bed related.
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 December 06, 20:02:01
Ah, well.  It's just as well I wasn't sold on the idea anyway.  It's interesting that it would affect even a static needs sim.
One other observation I might throw in, is that the family I'm playing that gets the invisible negative mood hit lives in a neighborhood which has shown some signs of instability lately.  Time was stuttering for a bit, sort of like it was freezing, but time was apparently progressing while it was mid stutter.  I reset world, and it stopped for a bit. It started again, I reset world again, saved and quit, and then cleared my cache.  That problem hasn't been back - but then the negative mood thing started.

So perhaps (and I'm going on a theory limb here) it's one of the signs of a save going bad?  If it irritates me too much tonight when I'm playing again, I'll just export my family and move them to a fresh save.  Hopefully it isn't something about the family that's corrupted.
20  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 December 06, 19:34:25
I'm having a very odd mood issue.
*snip*
Anyone else having this issue?

Yes, I have it occasionally.  The only way I can get things back to normal is to save and quit and/or wait it out.  I poked around at MTS, where someone else had posted this problem.  The conclusion is that the 'well rested' moodlet has been borked by the new patch.  It's supposed to give you plus 20 or 25, I forget which, and if you hover your mouse on the moodlet it only says 10.  When it wears off, the borkedness rears it's head and it gives you an invisible negative.  If this is indeed the problem, it's really random, because it didn't happen for the first few days I had the patch at least.  Maybe I just don't let my sims sleep enough and never got that problem.  I haven't actually tested it yet by having one sim not sleep well for a week, and his partner sleep well for a week to make sure that's what it is.

At any rate, if that moodlet is indeed the culprit, I hope there's a fix for it soon because I don't relish having to hand wake all my sims up so they are short sleep but happy all day. XP

While I'm happy at how long the list is, I can't help but see the things that didn't make the list.  Like fixing the Dig sites for WA, or addressing the traffic clog that was introduced in LN.  Meh.  I'm glad the Sims community has enough self-support to fix these things for the rest of us anyway.
22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The Birth Control Mirror on: 2010 November 25, 02:41:31
Ah, well that makes sense.  Great! As soon as my internet stops insulting me every time I click the download link I'll plop down some mirrors everywhere.
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The Birth Control Mirror on: 2010 November 24, 20:40:47
Does this mod work for the Vacation areas as well, or just our base 'hood worlds?

I only ask because I've been playing a Chinese themed legacy recently, and simChina ends up almost deserted after the initial population starts dying off.  Not very many cribs were placed in the 'active' NPC houses, so they don't self populate very well.  If this will work for all Worlds under my control, then I'll probably pop it in.  Probably will anyway.
24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Coffee-Flavored Coffee (aka, Hot Beverages for Traditionalists) on: 2010 November 17, 02:36:58
THIS is great.  I rolled my eyes when I saw the mod for Seventyeleven Million NEW ways to be Excessive with your Not-Coffee.  But I'd love to have my sims drink things that I can find in my own kitchen.

*BAA.*

Wish I'd been smert enough to think of this myself, but in my defense I've been a bit distracted lately.

Did you put a community marker blob in each and every floor's worth of elevator shaft?
