I thought this was an EA problem. But, because we are running AM (big sloppy kiss to Pescado, again - I love you!), our sims just move into a new house instead of scramming out of town as fast as their little feet can scamper.

Is this an Ambitions bork? My sim happily seeded sprogs throughout the town and now if I check the family tree, I can look into the extended families because of this. Three of the women he's managed to fertilise, have had other children before or after with another man. All of a sudden children in these families have started karking it! A notice popped up, that one child had died trying to fix something and they shouldn't have been messing with something like that. Two others have died and they were only toddlers. Also Morgana Wolf (I think that's her name) she's had one child, now a teen. Could see she was preggers again, but no baby has appeared. I'm sure if I went into play her family I would find another toddler or child has died. I've never had this happen before while playing Sims 3, thought it rather strange. Anyone else happened upon this?

I don't think that's an Awesomemod bug. I just had the same thing happen, and I'm not running Awesomemod. No, that's an Ambitions bork! I had no CC, hacks, I was playing vanilla and the same thing happened. Only way to get around it, was to go to Main Menu and go back into the game that way. Or else, quit and start again.
If you were to actually READ AND COMPREHEND what I posted, that's exactly what I was saying: this is an Ambitions bug, not Awesomemod-related. Since this is, you know, AN AWESOMEMOD TEST THREAD, I thought I'd point out that this particular bug isn't the fault of the mod. I did READ and COMPREHEND what you had said, no idea why you had to shout it. I was confirming what you had said, that it's not to do with AM. You did say ‘I don't think' which implies that it was your opinion not a confirmation so I was friggen confirming it!

If I try to create a new game in the Sims 3, after I select the household I wish to play with and click on the purple check mark the game stays in edit town mode and refuses to load the family.

Hmm Miss Candy Floss was an excellent fire-fighter; she managed to put fires out within the expected time. But her new man Jaxom! He turned up at the fire, sat himself down and started watching TV!
Made him put it out, switched back to Candy (she had changed jobs to a designer) who is excelling in this profession too. Switched back to Jaxom to find him watching TV again, 10 hours on and the fire seems out but the house owner is still having a hissy outside.
Made him clean up, left him to it went back to Candy, who had completed her job. She staggered home to get a feed to find Jaxom already there playing computer games and the small house fire sticky is still up! Can't find a way to get rid of it, and he won't go back to the house to finish the job even though the fire is out and after cleaning up. Owner is still jumping up and down outside... Didn't look like there was anyone to rescue, the little list that pops up just said a small house fire to clean up, to be done in three hours.
So lazy sim or? His trait are Brave, Great kisser (not that this would help unless he kisses the homeowner hehe), daredevil, perfectionist and family oriented

Edit: So, the site there says to check the NFO. Opened it with NotePad and found my prize.
Thank you Sammy, would never have thought to use NotePad. Thank you, Grilledcheesesammie as well, as the poweriso was great. Also for the mount advice, so lovely not to hear my poor disc drive grinding away. An hour and a half of downloading and 3 hours friggen seeding (someone better appreciate it and pay it friggen forward!) and I have been happily toodling around Twinbrook. Must say it's just not the same without Awesome Mod, so I'm deliberately not saving my game until then. Just going to fiddle a bit, hehe Long weekend and kids away, The Sims all to myself weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

@Sablesasha: I use Poweriso on Vista and XP and virtually mount the disc to save my drive from wear and tear. - Just install and restart the computer. Left click the .iso and set the number of drives to 1 or more from the context menu ---consequently the option to Mount to drive: x (a letter will now be assigned) will appear in the same menu. The drive and the virtually mounted disc will now appear under the "my computer" interface alongside your regular DVD or CD drive.
You can also browse and retrieve your game disc files this way, for example when trying to find the original .ini or .exe files to restore installed game files to original state before patching. Thank you Grillcheesesammie. Mounting sounds like good idea. Give my poor puter a rest that way. One hour to go, yippee I promise, I'll seed before I do anything!

Currently downloading, decided that I too, am too cheap to go and buy it tomorrow lol.
I've never downloaded a Sims expansion or stuff pack before. Once I've got it and unzipped, is it just a matter of burning it to a disc?
I'm heading into dangerous territory aren't I, lol

The newspaper informs on births? 0_o I wasn't aware the newspaper was good for...well, anything.
For shame! The newspaper is very handy! Find out who has moved into town, which family has moved house, so and so has died, who has had a baby. Then of course there are the sales if your Sims are interested in taking a course i.e. gardening or logic. What social events are happening around town. Time wise, I make my Sims read it the moment they get home and then they just recycle it. On the way back in they pay the bills.

Gives world a shake... peers around anyone awake? Are you all up yet?! hehe
I take it the time zone is the reason why my Awesomemod isn't working because I'm down here, *waves* from New Zealand and a day ahead.
I normally take note when I update Awesomemod when the next update is due and for some reason last time I didn't. Was the new update supposed to be on the 11 March?
Should I keep my fingers crossed or is my Awesomemod stuffed?
Uh, there was a new version two days ago. Oh how weird. It's not showing up when I open the Awesomemod page. I'll clear my history and try again. Thank you

That's happened to one certain Sim in my game. Her babies would even start to starve and she would be still sitting on the loo. I kept thinking maybe she was reading a really interesting magazine hehe. The only way I could get her off was resetsim. But maybe her hubby did exactly that, superglued the toilet seat!

|

You don't have to do it from scratch. You can take each member to the mirror, in turn; package each sim to the library. Then when you go to recreate the family you will have each of them available in the custom folder. All their traits and outfit will be saved; all you will need to do is set the clock back for a few of them. If you still want a cheat that will do this for you, check out the super computer, by Twallan. I don't use it myself but I hear it sets age and relationships. http://ts3.tscexchange.com/index.php?topic=2023.0 Oh thank you Goddess. I take it that was what one of the other posters was meaning too. I'll give that a go. I just tried making a new family and when it came to the Edit Relationships the parents won't remain married! Rrrrrrr This has never had this happened before. Not doing anything different from what I usually do.

Sometimes you all get too hung up on cheats. You can set your age back by eating ambrosia and/or life fruit. No cheat required and you retain all skills and relationships.
Well I wouldn't call it 'hung up' on a cheat. I liked the family I used in one neighbourhood, but they are all adults and I want them in my New Neighbourhood with some of the children as children instead of adults. I didn't want to change them in the current neighbourhood they already reside in. I thought using the ambrosia or life fruit just sets them back to the beginning of that age stage. I've never even needed to use that for my Sims, I have trouble knocking them off! They live well past the 90 day life span I have my game set on and always seem to achieve their life time wish. That's without using cheats. The only mod in my game is Awesome (hehe I love Awesome) If I could edit the family in CAS I would. Instead I have to recreate the whole family in CAS from scratch.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Age cheat?
|
on: 2010 March 06, 19:56:23

I have to say before I post my question that I absolutely love the Awesome Mod, its Awesome! I wouldn't play my game without it.
I made a family of 6 adult children and their aging parents and happily moved them into my neighbourhood. They're a household of men as I had noticed there were quite a few single women drifting around the neighbourhood and not enough men.
I have searched through the forums on here in the hopes that someone might have asked this already but no such luck or else I am not using the correct search word.
My question is -
I have started a new neighbourhood and loved the family so much that I want to use it again, but I would like to re-age some of children down.
Is there no cheat for this, either in Awesome Mod or with the Sims game its self?
