...Oh. Were they delivered after a specific number of days? Granted, less than a week has passed since I finished them (I think...I did receive royalties for the first one) I guess I'll wait a couple of more days and see what happens, and look for that bookclub option. I don't think my non-Bookworm sim has it, but I might have missed it. Thanks for the answer!
ETA: You're right, mrowcat. They were there when I used the "Get Mail" option. Thanks.

Has anyone finished writing books yet? One of my sims received an opportunity to donate three self-written books to the City Hall, so I had him work on that. Unfortunately, now that the books are done I can't seem to find a way to actually get them; I looked for some sort of "order copy of book" option on the phone, computer and mailbox, but got nothing. I tried the book store as well, but they weren't on the list. The only place I *did* find one of them was the library, but those books can't be purchased as far as I could tell.

Blizzaird - Heh, typical indeed. I might just rename my lots to match them instead, or it's a little weird. Gwill - It definitely used to be possible to pick them up and plop them again to make them invisible, at least according to the tutorial I've read which explains the process of building them. It's my first time trying though. Might I ask what is that quick, easy way of hiding a lot with SimPE? Thank you both for your replies. I think I'll just do a test with them as they are if I can't get them to vanish on the map, and hope no borkage ensues.

TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Issue with custom BV secret vacation lots catalogue placement

Hi all, Longtime lurker, occasional poster here, I hope I did this right. However I figured you guys are most likely to know what the problem is with my custom BV lots, since I have tried everything. I'll explain: I have made my own island vacation destination and wanted a secret lot for it too. I followed the tutorial to build one, so far so good. Then, when time comes to move it to the lot bin and replace it so that it becomes invisible, it simply never shows up in the bin! It is not gone however, because it does show up in the college nhood of all places, where it is, of course, useless. I have searched for a solution and apparently I'm not the only one, because Knukleur seems to be having the same issue, but never got a reply, so here I am. This brings me to my other question: do custom secret lots still work if they're visible? For example if I save mine and re-zone it an just leave it there? If it's just a matter of invisibility I could live with it and just move it to the other side of the island and surround it with trees or something. When testing yesterday, I had a sim dig for maps and he found the three ones corresponding to the maxis vacation destinations even though I don't have them added and none for my own lot (if a map is even generated for it). Thank you for any help.

TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: More CS stuff

I got them to work with all needed accessories but the stuff is useless in TS2. And i lack the knowledge to try to reprogramming the stuff. Its not really a challenge to place the items on different lots only to make your Sim search for them and after everything is done the Tristikki is worthless. The only nice usage is the sim talking to the Idol. But you get the same with a Garden Gnome.
Oh, they don't have to function like in Castaway (but making them searchable sounds cool regardless of how easy it is!). I would still love to have them just to decorate my lots.

Hey, I was thinking, would it be possible to salvage the following: -the medical box (as a decorative object it would be just fine) -the idol (I'm actually building a temple with the extracted bits and "treasure", so it would be great to have Spaulding. lol) Him spewing poisonous gas would be extra cool but something tells me that's Pescado territory... -the steamer trunk (acting as a fridge would rock, but would make a nice decoration too) ...I hate it how whenever I try to make this kind of posts they sound so demanding, but they're meant as suggestions, stuff I've thought about and have not seen anywhere, and since you're on a roll...

Hum and I thought I had thoroughly searched TSR for tiki stuff. Since I'd be getting it in the booty, the borked file would cause a problem though. The nursery you say? I will try the other sets then at least. I prefer CS furniture because it looks more authentic and less "modern tiki styled furniture", so I figured I'd ask here, since I myself am useless at object conversions and perhaps someone has already done it. But no biggie either way

I wonder if anyone has plans to salvage more of the CS furniture? Tables, chairs, couches etc. for more island realism. I gotta say I'm loving everything so far and I'll be happy with anything I can get

Oh that wasn't the worst part. It was when the page stopped loading in the middle of my download that I got a little annoyed. It was back in an hour though, so all's well when it ends well and all that jazz.
For the record, I did end up putting UP together and it looks just lovely. Now I actually want to play Uni, something I don't do often. Shame there aren't any skunk meshes out there to replace the stupid boring llamas.

My eyes, they burn! But still, I couldn't resist posting these gems by TSR's Andi and Grim, ex weed_luvaJust a few of the worst examples, there's more where these came from... My personal favourite, I really think it should come with an epilepsy warning... Don't you love how the pasted on pic doesn't even cover the entire top? This must've been difficult... Just for sheer crappiness. Follow the link if you wanna see more, and don't forget the
