1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: A grand piano for your richer sims on: 2006 August 04, 05:15:54
Those piano mods were nice and all, but now Glamour includes grand pianos.

Really? I haven't seen mention of that anywhere, in any of Glamour pics. Is this something they decided to add at the last moment (or are keeping from us?)

I could swear that I saw it in a picture...I'll go look for it.

UPDATE: Dammit, I can't find it. Was I just imagining things? Maybe I was looking at something else and thought it was a grand piano? Argh, sorry about that.

If you want a bad party, simply invite two sims that are sworn enemies.

I don't know about this. At one wedding the groom invited Gilbert Jacquet and Joe Carr, not knowing that they hated each other. During the reception they duked it out twice (with Gilbert being thrown on his ass twice and crying like a little girl), but the groom still had a good party rating (can't remember the exact rating- the one before "Roof-raiser").

How about a pentagon or octagon shaped restaurant? Or a trapezoid?

Your stories are great! Well done on managing twins during the Ethiopian Challenge!

Cowplant all the way. Get several so they can all die at once.

What's your definition of a "good" restaurant? The size? The location? The number of tables and chairs?

Thanks for the advice Simsbaby. I'll download that hack when I get home tonight Smiley Hope it works!

I guess I suck.
I've been playing this damn game since it first came out and I've never noticed these "hidden" tutorials.
This might be the wrong place to ask, but what other "hidden" tutorials are there?

I don't play the Maxis made characters since they bore me. Once though, I played as Don Lothario a little bit and yes, he comes with a mini-tutorial. A little message will just pop in the upper corner every now and then. Stuff like, "Don's place is a mess! Call the cleaning service and hire a maid," or, "The showerhead is leaking. Don needs to fix it."

boolProp snapObjectsToGrid [true/false] - Toggles the ability to fine-tune the placement of items, instead of being limited to just placing them at certain spots on the grid.

Thanks, but I turned off that cheat. Admittedly I used it once, but it was for a different room.

Let me explain a little further about the problem. It's not just that the objects won't go in the grid properly, it seems that the grid itself is a little messed up.

You know how that green square surrounding the object appears letting you know that it's ok to place it in a certain position? Well, the green square comes out crooked and weird.

Yea, streakers, cheerleaders, and the two mascots are not good sims to move out of their roles.  They retain their uni behaviors for the rest of their adult/elder lives.

Kinda sad when you think about it. Imagine a 65- year old woman in a cow costume annoying the hell out of people. *shudder*

I'm having a weird problem with object placement in one of the children's bedrooms in one of my houses. Some of the objects can't be placed properly on the grid. In some cases, when I try to put a toy against the wall, it goes right through it instead. When I tried to move the ceiling lights a little further from each other, one refuses to sit properly on the grid.

This bedroom is the only place in the house with the grid problem. I have boolprop and moveobjects turned off, so I don't know what's going on. Any advice? Thanks!

EDIT: Oh and yes, I have all the patches.

I don't have the patience for employees I can't directly control. My sims' employees are family members.
