1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Kids and Toddlers on: 2009 June 11, 16:39:48
Wowzers. The deformed/"stretch skeleton effect" thing just happened to one of my toddlers, and needless to say, it creeped me the hell out. Wtf. I hope there's a fix for that soon.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: A sim of mine wants to become "good friends" with herself... on: 2009 June 10, 00:53:21
If a copy of the Sim exists in the bin, it's possible that there's another "her" walking around.  I haven't experienced it, but my sweetie has.  He said it was quite disconcerting bumping into an elder version of his character when he was out and about.  (I guess his other self aged faster).  I said that at least it didn't cause a rift in the space-time continuum.

Oh em gee, that is hilarious! Lol. Damn, so is it safe to delete copies from the bin? Hmm, I recall seeing a topic about such a thing, I think. *off to search*

Edit: Yes, I've spotted the clone. If I delete households out the Library, will that stop this?
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / A sim of mine wants to become "good friends" with herself... on: 2009 June 10, 00:04:51
Is she just being overly narcissistic or is this yet another shitty bug? Has anyone else experienced something similar?
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Quick question about having babies with neighbors/townies... on: 2009 June 09, 00:57:25
Thanks for the tips. I'll try those suggestions Smiley.

Edit: I found her by following her car! Also, the reason I couldn't find her on the map the first time is because she's part of a household with an entirely different last name from hers.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Quick question about having babies with neighbors/townies... on: 2009 June 08, 23:16:53
Hey good people, I have a question...

One of my playables had a baby with some random townie chick, and I looked to see if she was on the map, and I couldn't find her house, therefore I guess she lives who the hell knows. With that said, how is he supposed to see his newborn child?? It's not like he can invite the child over. I tried inviting the mother over but she only brings herself. Ideas? Thanks.
6  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Food in thought bubble = squiggly lines? on: 2008 December 24, 14:41:13
Gotcha. I ended up just turning headlines off; not gonna let that mess drive me nuts lol, not when Sims 3 is on the way. Thanks for your help.
7  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Food in thought bubble = squiggly lines? on: 2008 December 23, 08:42:00
Thanks for your response.

Okay, I have about 4 on the menu right now. I'll take them off one by one and use process of elimination.

Question: I used the Lot Debugger to "clear gossip" and "clear trash"...this can do nothing but help, right?

Also, I only have like 5 items on the menu, and I've seen them all appear in thought bubbles perfectly fine before; does this not matter and mean that the foods could still be bugged regardless? Like sometimes they appear in bubbles and sometimes they don't?
8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Food in thought bubble = squiggly lines? on: 2008 December 23, 08:06:58
Hi, y'all.

I own a restaurant in my game, and I have 3 employees (host, chef, server), but they all seem to chip in w/ trying to "sell" the food on the restaurant menu. Sometimes the food in their thought bubbles appear as squiggly lines though, assuming food is what's trying to appear. Has anyone else experienced this? It's driving me nuts, and I'd really hate to have to do a full reinstall.

I'm playing w/ a no-cd.exe crack, and my dumb ass tried to use Maxis' patch over it - could this be where I went wrong?

Thanks,
Totally Non-Awesome.

Nice. Is there one for Residential?
10  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Hit Break Point Primitive Object Error? on: 2008 July 19, 02:49:35
Thank you. I will check out the Awesomeware hacks, as well as the Lot Debugger if it's not already included.

I have tested WITHOUT hacks recently, and while I haven't seen sims pick up the whole case of cans, there has been an instance of them not being able to clean up the serving platter still.

Before taking out my hacks, I ran the Hack Conflict Utility and nothing popped up.

I am thinking about just doing a reinstall....I hate to, but this thing is giving me more of a headache than a fresh reinstall probably would.

However, I have some houses that I spent days decorating that I would like to save, 2 in particular, but I am scared that if I do, i might be saving borked lots since I have no clue WTF is causing this issue really.
11  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Hit Break Point Primitive Object Error? on: 2008 July 19, 01:19:29
Thank you for the help, but these all seem like quick fixes, and the problem reoccurs, so I am pretty much looking for a permanent fix. I think the problem started on the 15th, when I was trying to figure out how to stop TVs from "breaking," so I asked someone, and they suggested I do boolprop testingcheatsenabled to "fix" broken TVs. I believe the problem started after that. First with the TV, and then I started getting issues with the serving platter. *le sigh* I am really trying to avoid a re-install here...so tedious.

BTW, where can I get the Stuck Object Remover?
12  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Hit Break Point Primitive Object Error? on: 2008 July 18, 21:15:33
Hmm, okay. Well, yes, I tried the moveobjects on/delete thing, and I could not do it that way. Afterward, I enabled the testingcheats and forced an error, and that's what they gave me. The whole log file is huge; I wish I could just copy and paste it, but there's a limit.
13  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Hit Break Point Primitive Object Error? on: 2008 July 18, 21:04:02
Hi, I've been having a problem for the past week with the serving platter, but before I get into that, here's some basic info:

I have every EP up to FT installed, with the latest patch. Also, I ran the Hack Conflict Utility tool with results of no hack conflict. Okay, usually this problem occurs with a visiting (custom) townie after one of my resident sims serves "Instant Meals" and uses the "Call to Meal" function. I haven't noticed this problem really occurring with my resident sims, but here's what happens:

A few people on the lot will get a drink from the serving platter, and then a townie will pick up ALL the drinks sans serving platter.

Example Picture:

After this happens, when I point one of my resident sims to "clean up" the serving platter, she cannot pick the object up. I even try to delete it and cannot (I went to the Sims2Wiki page about not being able to delete objects, and the fix didn't work for me; guess it's not that simple.)

Here is the serving platter:

I did the boolprop testingcheatsenabled true command to generate an object error log, and I have it at the end of this post. You will see that it says something about Hit Break Point Primitive. Is this a serious error?

I really appreciate anyone who takes the time to go through it and help me with a fix because it's really starting to effin irk me.

(Note: Yes, in the screens, I have default replacements for both drinks and dinnerware, but I have since removed both of these things, and it STILL happens with the "Instant Meals," so I'm quite sure it's not those other things.)

I guess I posted the right part of the log? I didn't post anything beyond "Global Simulator Variables" because the whole file is just too big, but in case anyone wants to look at it, I have uploaded it HERE.

14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / FT Patch #3 + NoInstantLove? on: 2008 July 18, 11:48:50
Is it compatible? I ask because soon after I fired up my game, one of my married couples, who both happen to be BFFs with this one particular sim, ended up falling in love with her. I had no such problems until I patched my game again. ACR and NoInstantLove were working fine for me. I asked over at the ACR forum too about this, but I just wanna know if Pescado's hack is cool with the latest FT Patch.

Thanks in advance.
15  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Empty and Cleaned-up Templates. [UPDATED] on: 2008 June 15, 01:52:17
Yeah, I figured that was the case, just wanted clarification. Thank you.
16  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Empty and Cleaned-up Templates. [UPDATED] on: 2008 June 14, 22:59:47
Okay, I have another question, and sorry if it's been covered already...

(If it has, bring it on! I like torture...I'm into light S&M)

Okay, SO...

Do I need to follow the whole "custom hood" tut if I'm not even gonna use any of the pre-made neighborhoods? I plan to DELETE every SINGLE neighborhood I see once I load the game up and then make my own. I'm just wondering if I'm exempt from some of this somewhat tedious process.

Gracias in advance!  Cool
17  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Empty and Cleaned-up Templates. [UPDATED] on: 2008 June 14, 16:31:37
Emma, I've been looking for this kinda help as well, so I must thank you too lol Smiley.
18  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Tutorial: Clean custom neighbourhoods + townie creation (updated for Seasons on: 2008 May 31, 16:26:04
Berney updated the tutorial for BV here, but the process is essentially the same even in FT.

Okay, thanks. However, I do recall reading somewhere not to delete the /Lots folder in FT.
19  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Tutorial: Clean custom neighbourhoods + townie creation (updated for Seasons on: 2008 May 30, 12:12:11
OKay, I tried this tut and apparently did something wrong. No prob....off to try again.

Do these instructions apply to Free Time the same way as well?

BTW, for those that don't know, the FT patch is finally back up again, nice and shiny (hopefully).
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Why is G001 in a totally different folder than G002 is? on: 2008 May 29, 00:59:18
Thanks Wink.
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Why is G001 in a totally different folder than G002 is? on: 2008 May 28, 15:19:34
Thanks for the clarification Smiley. I used an empty template for G002. Was that completely okay? G001 one is still clogged with Character files and all that junk. Is there an empty one for that too around here?
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Why is G001 in a totally different folder than G002 is? on: 2008 May 28, 15:05:36
Am I the oddball, or is it like this for everyone else too? I noticed it when I was completing one of those custom neighborhood tuts. Wtf...just seems odd to me. While making fun of me, please answer my question Smiley.

If it's not supposed to be this way....I wouldn't be surprised. Heh.
23  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Tutorial: Clean custom neighbourhoods + townie creation (updated for Seasons on: 2008 May 25, 03:38:56
"Original" as in Pleasantview and such with those hideous Maxis townies and such? I'll pass Tongue, but it is good to have backups just in case I bump my head and want it back one day. Thanks for your help!
24  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Tutorial: Clean custom neighbourhoods + townie creation (updated for Seasons on: 2008 May 25, 03:12:07
^Thanks for the quick response.

So, okay...in order for me to have a totally clean hood when I start a new one, I would still have to overwrite all the templates with clean ones though, right? I hope I'm not making this any more confusing than it has to be lol.
25  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Tutorial: Clean custom neighbourhoods + townie creation (updated for Seasons on: 2008 May 25, 02:26:52
I have a quick question.

Is it safe to delete the neighborhoods I don't want from the main menu? OR, should I download the empty templates first, and THEN delete them. I don't wanna mess up any code or anything, and I'm wondering if the latter is necessary to ensure that.
