I'm assuming the CREATE-A-CRAP issue is that when you edit a pre-existing sim and click the checkmark to confirm changes, it crashes to the desktop. It's the only major problem I've noticed with the latest build, but if you're already aware I won't go into details.

Installed this version to my ambitions game and it loaded just fine. Seems to be running fine too. So far the only odd things I've noticed behavior-wise have been (presumably) EA-related ones. I can second the "Missing menu" options though; the "track on radar" specifically.

I actually did not know how the game read files - or that HELS added a new directory - until I read this thread.

But yes. That does make me an idiot. At least I got it working... and know now. My game has also been running fine since the update, so it's back to quietly lurking for me. Sorry for not offering moar fight.

Indeed -- to be honest I didn't expect to see anything definitive on this forum about it for another several days, I was surprised to see an update for the base patches. I wouldn't have posted, except that I saw wizard_merlin say they got theirs working. It made me curious.

Odd. I installed the test version, and even a fresh awesomeconfig, but it hangs endlessly at the loading screen. I don't mind waiting obviously -- it'll be ready when it's ready and all that, thanks for having even a test version out today. Although I am wondering how you got yours to work wizard_merlin. I assume you have WA too?
