1  TS4: The Pee-ening / Insert Amusing Name Here / Re: Sims 4 Annoyance & Problem Thread. on: 2014 October 05, 20:53:42
I just want them to stop carrying their plates all over the fucking house so they can chat with Uncle Bob while they eat. Is it too much to ask for them to just eat at the fucking table!?

As a part of multitasking, queuing them to sit at a particular place while holding a plate will make them eat there.  Though you'd think after 14 years they'd programme sims smart enough to sit at one damn table.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 June 06, 22:56:57
I've noticed in my game some new objects don't work. As in, when I direct my sim to use them the action is either ignored, or they randomly teleport away from the object. The main suspects are the trampoline, inventing workbench and the sculpturing station.

Anyone else have/had this problem? It's a real bitch when I want to do something new in my game.
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Getting CC to work post Ambitions and 1.12 patch on: 2010 June 05, 22:03:43
Putting your mods in /documents/...etc is news to me. I just moved my mods  folder to the Ambitions directory and haven't had any problems with anything.
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions Torrent on: 2010 June 01, 23:07:37
Torrenting sucks balls. Which is why some amazing bastard has supplied everyone with a direct download. No parts, no file hosts, just a straight link. Works in any download accelerator, though I managed to only get ~300kb/s, but it's better than 0.3 kb/s. It's the Vitality .iso as well, and I can confirm that it works perfectly. Only catch is you have to unrar a few times.

You can also replace the one you're torrenting with the finished file and seed it.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: HELS Original TS3.DLL (3.1.7)? on: 2010 May 08, 00:00:22
I've found AwesomeMod never seems to agree with me, and I wanted a no-CD solution for my game, so I went for a fixed .exe option as it was (at the time) a no-fuss fix.
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / HELS Original TSLhost.dll (3.1.7)? on: 2010 May 07, 23:48:19
Hey guys,

Does anyone have a copy of the original TSlHost.dll file from High End Loft Stuff version 3.1.7? Very much needed as mine has become "corrupted" and my back-up has vanished off my hard drive. Scoured all over the net and can't find it anywhere.

Would be very much appreciated!  Smiley

Gotta love that Formica table.
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.10/2.5/3.1 on: 2010 February 12, 23:00:25
I'm really annoyed that JM is forcing us to patch up to use AM. For the love of heavy machinery, please leave a link somewhere with the old versions of AM. You could throw them on your MTS account or something.

Are they cupping your balls, Pescado? Why are you sleeping with the enemy?

There is a good reason that JM is only supplying one version and it has nothing to do with "sleeping with the enemy".  It's almost impossible for one person to support multiple versions of a core mod like AwesomeMod.  If he gives people access to older versions, he'll get lots more outdated bug reports and requests for new features that have already been implemented in the newest version and demands for removal of the expiry date.  Why would he want that kind of hassle?

If I could think of a good solution to these problems, I'd be willing to upload (unsupported) older versions for every patch level.

He could do what I've seen on other sites:  Have an "Unsupported Obsolete Versions" subsection underneath the Awesomemod board, with the last version of AM for each patch level.

In addition, on loading an obsolete version, instead of the Flagrant System Error that tells you you can't use AwesomeMod there could be a, just as big box saying, "You are running an obsolete version of Awesomemod.  DO NOT ASK for support at the site or we will just laugh at you!"

Note that just placing versions in an obsolete section usually is enough in itself to keep people from asking for support; it prevents it, for example, at NRaas.  But add in a very obnoxious pop-up when they begin and the meanness with which people asking for help with obsolete versions would meet with here, and I really think there would be at worst minimal disruption from people expecting support.

Meh, his creation, his decision.
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Installation failed: Please make sure your game has the latest Software Updates on: 2010 February 06, 05:12:34
I currently am updated to 1.7/2.2 and trying to get some of the newest stuff without getting the next updates which keep you from installing SimPacks. Anyone know how I can fix this issue? Is it just an EA Update Lure?

Try extracting the .package file from the .sims3pack file using Delphy's Multi Extractor Tool, see if it works in-game.

I'm a sandwich.  And I'm here. So... yeah.
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Strange Release by Avenged Create A Sim on: 2010 February 04, 07:32:35
Sounds like the same logic crack pushers use to get "clientele" hooked.

Except the morbidly retarded are the crack whores.
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Got High End Loft Stuff two days early . . . for all the good it does me. on: 2010 February 03, 08:07:08
Again, the ARR'd copy is just the disk image of a DVD, always going to be 4.7 gb in size. EA just used a DVD when they probably could've used a CD. Of course, they're more flimsy and kind of out of date. The disk could also be bloated with old patches, as well.

A copy I found was about 1GB to download, and the directory for the stuffpack itself only takes up 266mb. Not sure if my .package files load or not, I gave up after 1 minute of loading, new patch/stuffpack has really screwed me over.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Got High End Loft Stuff two days early . . . for all the good it does me. on: 2010 February 03, 04:11:27
I don't know how EA can justify a 4GB stuff pack. What the hell is even in there?

60 items, a couple of patterns, and patches, can't be anymore than 1~2GB.
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.9/2.4 Issues on: 2010 February 03, 04:02:53
I mean, you don't seriously think I'm dumb enough to pay Apple premium prices for a machine that is physically the same as a PC, do you?

Actually, all current Macs (except for the currently non-shipping $3000 27" model) all use laptop grade processors and the low end GPUs. But hey, at least you get the "joy" of OSX.

I just want to know if TPB is still being watched

There are many ways you could hide your identity, anonymity and piracy go hand in hand. Like pirates and parrots. Besides, the biggest threat is the ARIA. I don't have to fear, I'm not bound by such laws  Tongue
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Can see clearly now. on: 2010 January 14, 01:19:53

P.S. I'd like the next EP to be based on SUPERSTAR!

I honestly do miss Superstar. Just being better than everyone else in the Sim world made me feel good in the real world. I wouldn't mind that being remade. I just hope that if they do an animals expansion pack they 1. Give it a decent title and 2. Don't make it a waste of a good concept.

18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: a new world, Coconut Island on: 2010 January 10, 22:59:23
The name makes me laugh. "Coconut" is a derogatory term for Pacific Island people in NZ.

Anyway, this is the most original neighbourhood I've ever played, including TS2. Very well done.
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Asherton, a neighborhood you can play with: The unpopulated version on: 2010 January 09, 10:10:06
Love how there's no plausible way to get on or off the island. No one can hear my sims' screams.

I've made a torrent with all the files available here.

Will post a direct link when mediafire get their shit together and stop crapping out  Tongue

Thanks for getting these guys, VERY much appreciated.
22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: EA store stuff in *.dbc format - a torrent on: 2010 January 08, 09:22:38
We've only got the one cable to NZ, we have to share nicely.  Roll Eyes

I'm sure Key will sort that one out. Yeah Right.

Wait, so the solution is to nuke it?

That's not a fix, more of a reconstruction.
24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.8/2.3 plus Create a World Released on: 2009 December 19, 04:27:20
Is this something that everyone is experiencing, and if so is there a way to get the plumbob icon to appear?
No, I've been converting store stuff to packages since a while back. The icons disappear when you do this for some reason.

I've noticed non-store items installed via the Launcher have the icon. Maybe the icon is supposed to mean custom content rather than store items?
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: my rooms are flashing on: 2009 December 19, 01:25:56
I run an unpatched game without WA.

I think I may have found the problem. Update to 1.7.9 (the latest stable-ish version)  Smiley
