I cannot thank you enough for this Witch! After playing Sims 4 for more than a year, I decided that I hated playing it. So I reinstalled all of my Sims 3 games. I had discarded all of my Pudding Factory downloads, though, so it has been a pain in the butt to try to get them all back. Many are no longer available at all. Something else too, that may help others in my situation. I downloaded all of KT's Fixes and after hours and hours of trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, I discovered that the cc.merged file was outdated. I got a new one from Nona Sims. I installed it - figured if that didn't work, I was out of ideas of what the problem could be. I really did not have any hope left at all. I loaded up my game and MUCH TO MY SURPRISE - IT WORKED! I'm pretty sure the neighbors could hear me yelling YES! YES! YES! at 2:00 in the morning! Once again, thank you. Morrighan (the other Witch, lol - I've had a lot of requests for online Wicca classes recently - I'm thinking about doing it.)

"Temp fix for Grandpa's Grove (fixes the baby seat for the tractor): GrandpasGroves_Fixes
Make sure you have an updated ccmerged, so you can harvest the orange tree. The set does contain resources for a corn plant but the data is not complete. It is missing STBLs, and there is no data for the corn in the plants and ingredients XMLs. This may be fixable with a mod, but it seems possible that EA is planning to add another set to the store that will unlock the corn."
I should be more specific. The "updated" ccmerged file I referred to is "the most recent" ccmerged file found on page one of this forum. I was taking YOUR advice...lol as stated above.

I updated my ccmerged file and placed it in MyDocuments/ElectronicArts/TheSims3/DCBackup. I find the orange tree in my game, but it when I place it, it just looks like newly planted soil instead of an actual tree. It does not grow and when I put my curser on it, it does not say its an orange tree or the status of its maturity.

I hate posting here more than you know, but I've spent the entire day searching the internet for a download I saw quite a while back. It was 1/2 of a spiral staircase, used in a foundation to go down to the basement. At the time I thought "what a great idea". Why oh why did I not download that? Does anyone else remember seeing that and if so, where?
Are you referring to Inge and Gosik's Half-landing stairs for cottages? You can find that at Inge's site, Simlogical, http://drealm.info/simlogical/sl/Sims3/StairScript/GosikIngeCottagehalflandingstairsscripted.htm. You'll have to read the information at the link given to determine if it can be used as you are hoping. No, I have the half-landing stairs. What I saw was a section of a spiral stair that was made to put between the first floor and the basement in a home with a foundation. God, I knew I was going to want that!

Erm, you could try the updated test Awesomemod? 6 July mine is timestamped. I have been running with setConfig smarterVehicleChooser true and I have no sound issues, nor have I seen a boat on the road.
Awesome. This fixed all my issues as well. Thanks Pescado for fixing this in such a timely manner, I couldn't play the game with that awful problem. I second that! I played for several hours, however, I did have to "reset town" three times during those hours. I'm OK with that though, at least we can play now. Thank you Pescado and Twallen!

I bought mine at Walmart. I'm always signed into my account when I play. I tried removing Awesome and the problem was still there. I too, removed my cashe files. I had played the game since the day of release with no problem until I installed the 1.55 test version. The only thing that worked for me was starting a new game in a different world (Sunlit Tides). I played all day yesterday with no sound problem.

I started a new game in Isla Paradiso to see if that would fix the sound problem. It did for about a minute. I read where someone said the sound problem was not in the other worlds so I started another new game in Sunlit Tides. Played all night long, no problems with the sound issue at all. I have also checked to see if my drivers were up to date, they were.

It is definitely a different sound problem. I'm quite familiar with the motorcycle/car/music sound issue. This one just cuts in and out constantly and doesn't come back with a loud "everything" all at once sound. Also, as soon as you pause or go into build/buy mode, the sound returns with no cutting. It ONLY happens in live mode.

I have been searching some of the other forums to see if anyone else has encountered this sound issue. The only thing I found was previous issues...where the sound would return very loudly, after being around loud noises like motorcycles. The sound problem I have had since I put Awesome in yesterday is different. It just constantly cuts on and off. Only people here on this forum are reporting it.

I am unsure if this is related to Awesomemod, or EA glitchiness, but I was playing a test house with a toddler and I noticed that when using the peg box she was sometimes facing the wrong way, while still skilling on the box. It's a minor issue, but I thought I'd mention it.
I have seen this before. I have also seen where the toddler was sitting IN the peg box. Who says two things can't occupy the same place at the same time?

I'm also having the sound problem. It cuts on and off to the point of very annoying.
Edit: I removed Awesome Mod from the game, but the sound problem was still there. I didn't have the problem before the Awesome 1.55 test and I thought removing Awesome would fix it. Strange.

I use the Nraas Master Controller and Cheats along with Awesome Mod...works great. I have tried some of Twallen's other mods but sometimes have problems. Removing them (especially the Traveler) always fixes my game.

I have often wondered about the Grammar Police as well...I don't think MOAR is correct, it's not in the dictionary. However, it does seem to be an acceptable word for this forum. Decrapified isn't in the dictionary either. On the other hand, if the rules of the forum state that proper grammar is to be used, then I will try to abide by those rules. As they say, "Don't bite the hand that feeds you" and giving a "bad time" to those who provide us with content and information are a blessing to us!
