Sure, they can get pregnant on holiday, but just like 2, in 3 the bun doesn't cook in the oven. At least that's been what happened to a couple I sent to France. Pregnancy resumed like normal once they returned, since sims don't age on vacation.
A day 2 or 3 preggo sim wouldn't be allowed to travel from her homeworld at all.
Now that I think of it, I think the couple I had get preggo on vacation was the older McDermott boy and his wife who I made in CAS. This was a couple of patches ago (1.7/2.33), and before I installed AM to the game.

Like Pescado said, using the super-computer to fix this is a moot point. This is a symptom of a much bigger problem. You are only delaying the inevitable.
It's not moot to me, hence the desire to see how it plays out. What can I say - I occasionally like playing with broken things to see how they break. It would actually suit me fine if the 'splosion in this saved game happened now, but so far there's been nothing much to write home about. EDIT - I did install TSC and used it to force the correct relationship. After the third pudding spawn was born (to the founder's brother) there were still no truants running amuck in this family or any other in this saved game. Maybe I didn't wait long enough for the truancy bug to occur? Anyway, I split the family when they were six and a half. The founder, her Chinese husband and their about to be YA son moved to a larger house and left her brother, his French wife, and their two spawn in the original lot. At this point, I added AM for the fast lot switching. Why EA couldn't do that and instead make it so fucking tedious is a mystery. The founder's brother had a third spawn, and still everything seems fine on the original lot. The founder's son is about to get started on the third generation, but perhaps I'll not see the truancy behavior with AM in the mix now?

Incidentally, if you find this has happened to you, your game has just exploded in a delayed-action BFBVFS. AwesomeMod should prevent this from occurring, but if it has already occurred, you're going to need some major cleanup, or else you'll get the Broken School Bug that follows silently in its wake.
Well, shit. This sim was supposed to be a foundation sim, but not if her spawn will be scrambled. My game is not Awesome. Except for all the arred store content, I run a fairly vanilla game. Ok, and cc hair. I guess I thought I was at lower risk for game pyrotechnics. Or is the combustible element built into WA? If there's not much drama involved I may try and clean up the game. LVRugger, I think I'll give the SuperComputer mod a try just to see how the bug plays out.

In one game, the special merchant in China was Shen Su. My sim in that game was able to successfully go steady with him and propose. I haven't played that sim in a couple days.
Meanwhile, I created a new household. New sim, off to China she goes, gets herself a steady boyfriend named Liang. She comes back home and his relationship with her is now Good Friend in the relationship panel. Nothing happened relationship wise between these two things. Next trip to China, I meet Shen Su in a ranked SimFu match. She can't get past serial WooHoo with him. In her relationship panel, she has no partner. I add Shen with testing cheats and in his relationship panel, her partner is Liang still.
I take her off to break up with Liang. No option. I chat him up and choose Mean... Let's just be friends. No difference - Every other sim sees her as partnered to Liang.
It's very annoying having this 'silent' partner mess up my sim's love life. I can't even have her marry Liang instead of Shen. The options don't appear for him either.
He needs to have an unfortunate accident.

Yes, Gwill - I borked my game exactly the same way yesterday while trying to fiddle with the store content that I had arrrred, but had gone missing after I installed WA. At that point, only store stuff was affected - the worlds and saved games were all fine.
At some point, after removing the DCCache .package files and plunking them into Mods/Packages, I got to pat myself on the back for about 15 minutes because all the store stuff was back, but parts of the map had gone wonky. Exited and reloaded, and it was fully wonky. Overseas maps too.
Reinstalling Riverview worked briefly, but the moment I went off to China, it unraveled again.
I can confirm that the .dbc and Riverview.world torrents from Witch's post do in fact clear up both the missing store content and the world map layer explosion problems. I did not lose anything in my saved games.
The bizarro way this game uses add on content makes me feel like my directories are organized by a dementia patient on crack.

Which program did you end up using to create the 24 bit color png image? My photoshop doesnt seem to carry the 24 bit option, just 8, 16 or 32.
IrfanView Thank you. Seems like I am having a hard time with this program as well, could you possible inform me of the steps you took? Thank you again in advance! File -> Batch conversion/rename -> Output format: png -> advanced -> change color depth: 16.7 million color Then pick your output directory, add your files. I'd like to add that the standard, comes-with-Windows-7, version of Microsoft Paint saved .PNG in 24 bit by default. That's what I used to make a thumbnail anyway. I don't know if this is true in XP or Vista though. Well, after fussing with my starter world, I finally exported it just to see what I'd be dealing with in-game with the camera masking and so on. You can totally blow off doing an Edit in Game in CAW of many things, and complete them after export. I left all the community lots blank and was able to fill them in in Edit Town mode. The catch is, of course, that you aren't then exporting a completed world to share... just a fixer upper. The Edit in Game feature is a resource hog - My system gnashed it's teeth over the whole process, though running just CAW by itself was not a problem.

@Zazazu - I see what you mean now. I neglected to check the snap to grid, so it took some re-laying of roads to get the lots to meet the road properly to avoid gaps.
About cloning -
I was doing an edit in game and my world came to a crashing halt when I tried to select a lot. When I went back into CAW, I realized that the clone tool duplicates the lot name also. I think it may have been causing issues when I was trying to do things to one of the clones or its original.
I went back and re-named all the cloned lots to something unique and the problem hasn't re-occurred.

Roads were an annoyance until I started to plan by intersections.
If you drop the intersections down first, you save yourself some headaches later. Just string sections of roads in between the intersections and don't worry about connecting them.
After you have the pieces on the map you can use the move object tool to drag the ends of the roads to the edge of the intersection. They have to meet more or less square on, and if they are too far out of alignment, they won't snap together.
You can then use the move object tools to pick up an intersection and drag any attached roads around from that point.
I'd like to try bridges in my beach world, but for some reason, the base game doesn't provide bridge objects in CAW, not even the basic non-WA bridge from Riverview.

Have any of you tried hitting Escape when this happens?
I did. Actually I tried every key on the keyboard because I wanted to save and bail out, but since I was locked into buy mode, the save function was not available. Esc didn't help. The grab-fist would briefly disappear if I right clicked instead of left clicked, but the moment I tried to do something else, it went back into a fist. I am playing a pretty big lot containing a house, converted barn, a shed and two farm fields plus a pond. Since most of the adults were in on the gardening, there was a lot of groceries in four sims' inventories. I sold about §13k in groceries and fish at the store, saved and left the game. Today my grab hand is just a grab hand. I sold more groceries, threw some in the fridge and it has not yet reoccurred, but perhaps it's not long enough to tell. I have to replace the fridges on the lot anyway every time I load the game to stop it from allowing food to spoil overnight. That seemed to start right after I installed the last pre-WA patch.

That makes a lot of sense, Mr. President.
Still, I would hypothesize that the game counts lot items as a whole so when the number of objects exceed the limit the program can handle, the shit hits the fan. But again, I am too frightened by the recent horrors that I doubt I would bother testing for the result.
If this is the case, then the food replicator tipped the scales for me today. I had never encountered the issue before. I had a sim (pre-made, McDermott from Riverview) get his LTW and I picked up the food replicator with the points. All was well until I placed it, then tried to recolor it in buy mode. The grab hand got a bad case of arthritis, then the game seemed to lock up. It was just the mouse/interface not responding correctly, however. The keyboard shortcuts all still worked, and the grab-fist could be used to click, after a fashion. Couldn't return to live mode until I changed floors, clicked build mode, then clicked live mode. The fist continued on in live mode where it prevents me from selecting anything in inventory and is just generally irritating. I was only able to sell produce through the sell interface in the supermarket. I'm not running hacks, awesome or otherwise, just have Store items that were arred and a small amount of custom content. I'll try selling more produce from the other family members inventories to see if it corrects the issue.
