If I try to create a new game in the Sims 3, after I select the household I wish to play with and click on the purple check mark the game stays in edit town mode and refuses to load the family.

I've been using a resource.cfg file that works perfectly well if the .package files are in the original folder, but once I move the folder to C:\Users\Jennifer\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods the games ceases being able to detect the mods, I made sure to move the Resource.cfg with the mods folder.

My resource.cfg file is as follows:

I attempted to use Awesomemod with Ambitions installed... but the game doesn't detect the mod if it's in the My Documents>Electronic Arts>Mods folder.
If it's in the Program Files>Electronic Arts>Sims 3>Mods folder the game doesn't load.

Hmm... when I Shift+Ctrl+Click on the ground I get an option that says 'Nuke' but that's all... I have debug settings enabled so I'm not quite sure what the problem is.

Recently I started playing the Sims 3 again, and I've been spending alot of time on the internet downloading content.  A couple of days ago I came across Grim-Reaper hybrids that were possible back when the TS3 just came out, but then EA got rid of the "try-for-baby" option with one of their updates. I've been playing around with the program S3pe trying to reverse the xml that is blocking the option, I haven't had any luck yet.  I'm starting to think the only way to reverse it might be to edit the Grim Reaper's xml directly, but I'm not sure what package file contains the special NPCs.  

Edit:
A second problem is that when you move a Grim-Reaper into your house, you can't enter "Edit Town" mode, which is something else I'd like to change if possible.

Any help on either subject would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have the Original tslhost.dll for the sims 3 base game?...I downloaded one from rapidshare but it isn't working with the update.

Tried all of the above, I was playing the game before I download AM, it was working normally, after I downloaded and installed AM the games wasn't working normally. Once I removed AM the game still wouldn't work.

Creating a new game however, with AM installed works, I don't think the saved game can be recovered thank you for the help though





Tried that, not in camera mode

When I load the Sims 3 WA with awesomemod, I get a screen without any options, I've tried removing all the other mods, reinstalling Awesomemod but I still have the same problem...I'm not sure what to do to fix the problem. (Framework is installed)
