1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Serious error that deleting save and using backup file won't fix? on: 2010 March 08, 18:57:44
What I mean by "it doesn't work" is that nothing I have tried has resolved the issue. Every time I tried to restart the game, use the backup file or start a new game, I would continue to get the "a serious error has occurred while loading the application" error after the sunset valley loading screen would load, at which point it takes me back to the main menu screen.

I tried to save as a new game when I could get the game to finally come up, but the game still picks and chooses when it wants to load and when it doesn't.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Serious error that deleting save and using backup file won't fix? on: 2010 March 07, 19:56:46
Hi. I tried searching for a solution to this problem on here and also on the internet, and nothing I have tried so far has worked, so, please work with me if this has been answered before. The problem is that, when I try to load my saved files (or a new file) the game gives me a "serious error has occurred while loading error". Interestingly, however, it doesn't happen every time I try to load. It happens most of the time, but if I try 15-20 times to load my game, one of those times might actually be successful. This was starting to get very annoying, so, I tried to deleted my saved file and use the backup copy as suggested on the internet. That, however, did not work. I also tried to update AM and it didn't work. I started a new game, but nothing seems to work. I don't have any mods on my game, except for AM, and I have not downloaded CC in months. I have version 2.5.12 of the game, with the latest AM installed. The problem started happening a few days after updating my game. Is there anything I can do that will not require re-installing my game? Thanks in advance
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Sims just stop doing things out of no where... and more family tree issues. on: 2010 January 11, 00:15:33
Okay, so this just started happening out of nowhere today. Every time I command my sims to do something- Go to sleep, eat, interact with eachother, etc. They just stop doing it while in the middle of it. It's particularly annoying when they are sleeping, and wake up every two seconds, only to go get back in the bed because they are still tired, repeatedly throught the night until I eventually just use the "maxmotives" cheat. Also, I just started having family tree issues today, as well. It only happens with sims from the same family, strangely, even when many of the members don't live in the same household. Their family tree worked perfectly just yesterday. Now when I click on a family member's tree, nothing comes up.

sigh.... honestly, I just felt like sharing...
I've never had any major bugs on my game before, and I feel it has something to do with the new patch... hopefully it gets fixed, soon... because it's quite unbearable.

Use that fucking space between your ears for something useful, if that's possible.
For most people, the space between their ears is only suitable as test material for experiments in terminal ballistics.

Well, in my own defense (although perhaps it will not have much validity), I did, at the very least, read the awesome mod thread prior to asking. I was just unable to comprehend the meaning of OFFICIAL 1.7.9/WA UPDATE, as I was unaware of the issues being caused by the patches until yesterday, and almost never patch my game or had the remotest idea of the importance of patching. Yes, you now have a solid basis to call me an idiot (I know it's fun... go ahead). Nevertheless, it's  not always easy to understand the information provided unless you also have an undestanding of the subject at hand.

That is my story... and I'm sticking to it!

Lol... nothing like two jerks telling you about yourself to get you to learn how to do some proper research. Thank you... I will try both of your suggestions Smiley

I just bought WA...
Not to be the idiot that asked the same question that has already been asked a million times already or anything like that but, from what I understood from the latest AM announcement, it is now compatible with WA, correct?

If not, ignore the following:
I downloaded the updated version of the mod from the mirror links and now my game is stuck at the start up loading screen and won't load.

Although I admit that playing the sims without AM is now a horrific experience... I suppose waiting until a compatible version is out can't be so bad... (okay... it's torture... I won't make it 30 mins without "maxmotives") or is it that there's something wrong with my computer?? Thanks
