I also routinely get that pop-up on every start up -

I dont have (or ever had) any other progression mod, 'cept for AM - and I update that about every two days to make sure its always the latest version after my 'flagrant system error'(s).
It seems quite harmless, just an annoyance having to click ignore every time.

The oddity is that I havent downloaded anything new since I got WA, and I never had the pop-up before. And I always keep the game game patched to the latest versions.

Im not complaining about it though- its the least of my troubles.

This could also be old news, but for me the easiest way to fix this was to delete the egypt/china (whatever) files from your saved game folders in My Documents/EA...-> (Maybe someone can put the full path here, Im not at at my PC. Meh.). I think there are 2 of them (the files)?

They regenerate as soon as you revisit said location, complete with the flyover etc.
Handy for having a sim visit virgin territory.

Im not sure how this affects active quests though. I havent tried that yet.

But dont blame me if this breaks your game, its only a suggestion.

I also had this issue, specifically when trying to move artifacts out of the family inventory when I moved them to a new house.
Obviously - new house, new decor, so having a stuck hand icon pretty much screwed them up.

The only way I ended up actually placing anything was by using the moveobjects on cheat.

Havent had the problem since, so I dont know the solution or real cause.
I havent since been back to that household either, so Im assuming that if its still an issue it must be household specific.
