With regard to the student who was not my student; no I can't be more specific. I saw one piece of her written work, which was basically a mess of unrelated words. The rest of the situation I knew about because my colleague discussed it with me. We have, oddly enough, a collegial atmosphere, where faculty discuss students and pedagogy with one another. No doubt you have some huge objection to this that you will drag out in your next response.
I suspect you were meant to answer with something more specific, so that your qualifications to make such a diagnosis could then be questioned. I wish I had thought to insist on special treatment during my stellar four 5 1/2 years as an undergrad, as I am ambition-impaired, and my professors did nothing to accomodate my condition. Edit: strikethrough doesn't play well with the number 4.

I may wish to join this "blue-collar elitist" cult. Where might I find more information about it?
Or you could save youself the trip, and pick up an AutoTrader (there's a meeting posted in the classifieds). I knew this was a case of individual butthurt. I bet she was an evil feminist, too, right?
Is there any other kind? BTW, you've reached your 7-post limit for the day, Rohina. Know when to say when, and all that.

Way too long, way too much requested for a single viewing.
#10) I don't have your answer, but since hobby points fade, learn to ignore them. If you don't like the want tree path, ignore it, get some sleep (or visit a community lot, go on a date, etc. - allow it to reset.) Failing that, skill via the Edumacator's Bookcase, or garden a messload of eggplants - you'll likely max nature, but see only the occasional cuisine point.

I suspect that the way it works, they consider themselves to already be on the lot simply by being in their own unit? I don't generally call to invite them, but I threw an apartment party once, and everyone appeared on their front porches, only to venture back inside when the single sim hosting the shindig did little to engage them. The landlady's 'party' sucked as well.
I'd recommend avoding the Maxis apartments - there doesn't seem to be much in the way of common areas in any of the ones I've explored. If you want neighbors to be closer, you may need to design the lot so they can't satisfy needs within their units.

Thanks, Jolrei, I downloaded this last month, and it plays nicely. It was the first apartment I've been able to use since AL, since my game has a lot of families at current time - most apartments are way to small, and the Maxis ones are horrible. I only wish that I was aware of the magic wand then, as without it, the best they could afford was the larger ground floor unit. Next group to move in takes the penthouse. BTW, the grill at the ground floor was spun. Sims got hoongry!

I don't have FT either, but according to another site that I'm part of, the spontaneous combustion bug from Seasons is back as well. It effects children, teens and adults. Even though sims are only pixel people, it's rather disturbing to see a toddler sim being burned to death... Isn't it just the puppykiller or kittenkiller that did this? Fess up, which do you have installed (but not updated)?

I don't have FT yet, but is the queue dropping bork another 'feature'? I recall the EAxis propoganda mags for one of the hobbies recommending a hobby room, where your sim could skill without being interrupted by others.

This makes about as much sense as thinking that spraypainting your computer red and giving it "go fast" detail stickers will improve your bandwidth speeds.
Now that's just silly. Everyone knows you need a skull grate over the PSU fan and lots and lots of LEDs to do that. Blue ones are OK, but the red ones are fastest.

Dear me. Such nastiness. I'm not claiming it is the direct fault of the mac. No, you were claiming it was the direct fault of the husband. It never pays to touch a woman's computer.

Stupid babies!
You don't hear the anti-baby opinion voiced nearly enough. I just imagine that your arch-nemesis is being camcordered right now gurgling happily on her little pink blanket.

The new Radeon HD 3870 X2, if as good as its hype, should be the best thing going right now. Overkill for the Sims, though. I haven't seen a price, but it should beat the best 8800 out there, at least for now. You will likely need a VGA adapter, and I don't know if new cards still ship with them. Plus, you'd need to check the power supply, any pricy card will likely force you to replace it (unless you already got one along with the case, processor & motherboard.) If the Sims is your only interest, any of the HD 36XX or 38XX will cost less. Consider paying more for memory, fill all the slots your mobo has, and if it accepts say, DDR2 800 & 1066, opt for the 1066. You'll get more use out of the additonal memory on loading (lots, clothes shopping), and you still won't be looking at anything flashing blue.
