Yes. Sandboxes are children only. The animations do not exist for any other age group.

This isn't true. I saw Michael Bachelor playing in the sandbox I had placed at the Sunset Valley park. Made me roll my eyes seeing a teen playing in it.

Does anyone know of a decent, COMPLETELY BLANK world available? I'm a control freak, I like my neighborhood to develop exactly the way I want. I'm having a hard time finding a world that is completely devoid of buildings and people. The Sims, I'm not too concerned about (hellooo, destroyallhumans) but is there really no world files that have NO buildings at all?

I've searched high and low but the only thing I've been able to find for sure was the emptied Sunset Valley and Riverwhatever from MTS..

Not really sure of the style or size you are looking for but, you could try these.

Changing the roof color to something else and then back again works, too. I have to do this all the time on lots in Sunset Valley.

With these sims, about one visit to the laundromat a week is sufficient to keep the moodlets going.

This seems to be mostly my experience with doing laundry on home lots. Did play a game where it seemed too many hampers on the lot made things buggy. I'm not using any mods.

I have just noticed a new borkeness. A sim I was playing had a wish to buy something for $100 and another wish to purchase a new painting worth at least $250. Went into buy mode to buy a painting, chose one and fiddled around with placing it on a wall and then changed my mind and left buy mode. Both wishes were fulfilled even though I never purchased the painting. Roll Eyes

Is there a way to force the game to generate a cashier?

Have you tried deleting the cash register and adding a new one?

"Cannot place stairs inside foundation" errors

Yes. I get this damn error when I try to build a basement next to a foundation even if I build away from it. It will only go away if I build two squares away from the foundation. I don't get it. Roll Eyes

It must be voodoo then, because I do things like witch and do not have a Mac. When I use the launcher to install sim3packs it just gives me a popup that the EADM couldn't connect. Because I don't have it installed.

I have never seen a sim sit like that. It looks a lot nicer than every single sim's hands-on-thighs pose.

Don Lothario in Riverview sat like that frequently when I played him.

The running/ice sliding bug has affected the Goth males in my game. Just the males. Weird. Also, the ghosts on the Goth lot are acting different since Ambitions. Everytime a ghost enters a bedroom now while the sims are sleeping it wakes them up. Never had this problem before Ambitions.

Well, Ea didn't fix stuck taxis. I have one stuck in front of the Twinbrook courthouse. Roll Eyes

Interesting. Thanks, Jeeves. I had downloaded a house from MTS that crashed every time I clicked on the swimming pool tool to delete it and it bothered me not knowing what the hell was wrong. Mystery solved.

Like Witch, I've invited foreigners to visit and have them move in and marry that way. I, too, have not had any problems doing it this way.
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Exit Stage Left, Please. on: 2010 March 12, 03:34:40
I have this happen while on vacation, usually while in fast mode. Time and sims freeze, but tree animations and sounds still function. I don't use AM, so that can't be causing the problem. I personally think it's the tourists/other adventurerers causing the lag, at least in my case. After I change back to normal speed and a few seconds pass, everything is fine. Note that it doesn't always do this in fast mode; that's why I think it's the game 'computing' or something.

(Did I use the semi-colon correctly in that last sentence?)
