"Investation"? An odd mixture of investigation and infestation quite obviously.
2  TS4: The Pee-ening / Insert Amusing Name Here / Re: Sims 4 is out what's the scoop? on: 2014 September 21, 22:51:34
No, I am not responsible for EA producing half developed games or ones that are lacking in what the fan base wants. Digital downloads became available with Sims3 from EA. Many simmers cannot afford the higher prices of the Sims games and others are not willing to pay the higher prices as a matter of principle.

There was a lot of negative press about the Sims4 and as it turns out it was quite spot on. The base game is not worth $60.00 to $70.00 as it is missing a lot of key aspects of the previous generations/iterations. I will not be buying any EP's or SP's of this game since it is not an advancement but instead several steps backwards.

If you don't mind a digital download version of this game then you can go to CDKeys.com and get it for quite a bit cheaper. I bought mine for $45.25 and this week it's less expensive than what I paid.

I am able to use the Build/Buy function on Houseboats with AM installed just fine. Are you making sure to edit the Houseboat Lot by clicking on the Build/Buy icon in the menu with testingcheatsenabled? (This will activate the Build/Buy function as it is greyed out by default).  You will need to do this so that you can edit a houseboat lot and make any changes you want to the existing structure. There are several tutorials on the official Sims3 site as well as Carl's Sims3 Guide.

The mailbox issue is indeed back and it crashed my game when in normal speed mode. So, once again, I will go back to using the love letter stomp mod.

The "No Psychic Police" while enabled in the Config Tool is not working now.

Also cannot move young adults out of the fambly home to a new home of their own.

I'm playing with a brand new game, all my mods are updated and using the latest test version of AM. Tried using "editsim" which gave the "no such command" message and then my game did the CTD. With the first Sept. 2 test version, I couldn't even start playing a new game as it would crash immediately upon entering into a sim famblies house, so there has been a marked improvement.

Would anyone be willing to upload the new neighborhood, Sunlit Tides, as a .world package?  This is the only way that new neighborhood game files will show up in my game.

That's it, it was HELS and that's the one SP I never bought. I just picked up the items from here. Thanks for jogging my memory, Tia.

Does anyone here recall one of the EP's or SP's adding a new workout/weight lifting bench to the game?  There has always been the default one that came with the base game. I lost it recently after having to do a complete uninstall/re-install due to bad registry keys. It was an upscale model and more expensive than the default one. I thought at first it was part of the Haute Hip or Outdoor Life additions but all my research has turned up nothing.

Even after re-installing all of my cc, for some reason, this one file failed to re-install. I've gone through my 2,000 + files trying to find it by name and haven't been able to determine which one it is since some of my files are just in numerical form. Any help would be much appreciated.

Does anyone know whether anyone has uploaded Lucky Palms as a .world file? The LP as a sims3pack which installs as an object file does not work in my game and current file set-up. I had to use the Lunar Lakes file as a .world file as well.

And I suspected this was part of some repressed homo-erotic hill billy hazing ritual. Actually I'm convinced of it now.

Skadi: If you have a world file then it might work to place it in the Installed Worlds folder. I believe Witch or someone discovered this when the debacle that was Barnacle Bay happened. I have a Barnacle Bay world file in my Installed Worlds folder, and it works just fine.

Did you post the Lunar Lakes world file in your previous post where the objects file is also?

Kissingtoast: In my files, the package files appear as blank icons with the title of the file on them. The Sims3 pack files appear as the blue w/the green plumbob and the title. So they are two entirely different types of files and function differently as well. I tried placing the Sims3 pack file in my Library folder but could not see Lunar Lakes in my game.

I mentioned Barnacle Bay as a means of showing that while it is a package file, it also has a different suffix being a world file and so it resides in the Installed Worlds folder. I haven't had any problems w/different neighborhoods appearing before trying to install Lunar Lakes.

Huh  I think you need to re-read what you have posted because your answer is in that as to why Lunar Lakes is not showing up.

Yes, this is why I posted to show that Skadi's post says to place the Sims3 pack file in the Library folder. That was a red flag to me as I said previously that as I understood the process, only package files were to be placed in the Library folder. So, was asking if the system had changed and/or if Skadi's post was a typo or mistake?

Has anyone else had a problem getting Lunar Lakes to work in their game? I've downloaded the Sims3 pack file from Skadi's post but can't see the new neighborhood in my game. I thought any neighborhood file had to be a package file to place it in the Library folder. I got Barnacle Bay to work by placing the package file in the Installed Worlds file. Does Lunar Lakes work for everyone as a Sims3 pack file placed in the Library folder?

For some odd reason, I cannot get the November compilation and KidsAllAgeSet to show up in my game. I downloaded both files, decrapified them and installed them into my Downloads folder. The pop up message said "The installation was successful". This is the first time I have had any problems w/files from MATY not showing up in my game. Any sugggestions/ideas?

I also downloaded the Pet Shop from the Sims3 site and still cannot get it to show up in game. It installed seemingly successfully and I can see it in my lastest installs in the Launcher. I'll just continue to work w/it until it shows up and is operational.

The nude clothing from Sexy Sims makes this mod work fine at least on my system. Now the sims look more complete which is a nice addition.

I like the exterior of your Brothel because it looks very unassuming and one cannot tell that such "secrets" lie within this house. The interior has a very nice layout and floor plan. The environment is comfortable and welcoming as well as providing the citizens of Hidden Springs a place to "sow their wild oats".

Rockerduck: Ah, I am using AM but perhaps need to enable moar sliders in the config file. I will check on this and nice hint.
22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: For testing - morphing penis (NWS) on: 2011 September 12, 03:38:17
Yes, I did look through all the different sections for the head and ear sliders. I'll figure it out eventually and really want to be able to use this as it adds more realism to the game. I'm glad you will be creating it for the teens as well.
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: For testing - morphing penis (NWS) on: 2011 September 11, 03:46:12
This mod is a welcome addition to the game and I'll test these out as well.

Edit: Should this file be placed in the Skins folder or the Mod folder under Hacks? I have it in Skins and can only see the slider for penis thickness.

I have just used the FOY on adults and expected that they would roll back to being at the beginning of the young adult stage. However, they just roll back to the beginning of the adult stage. The wish does say, "Young adult stage", so I've been wondering if the fountain is indeed conflicting w/the spellbook in my game as well.
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Generations-style pubic hair for men and women (NWS) on: 2011 July 04, 01:20:45
Should this work for pre-made sims if we use "editsim" and add it to both genders?  It does not appear in my game after I have "added" it to the pre-made sims from the game.
