1  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 November 19, 05:19:11
I've been playing with Awesomemod for a couple years now.  Love it and have never had any serious issues.  I have Seasons installed and I'm patched all the way up.  AwesomeMod date 11/18/12.  While I was playing I noticed around 10 taxis pulling up and dropping people off on a lot.  I went over to see what was going on and the taxis were dropping off tourist sims from China.  They just kept arriving!  I counted around 60 before I closed the game down.  They were all just standing there facing the same direction starving to death lol.  Strangest thing I've ever seen on the sims.

I've also been having the issue of lots of sims dying from burning to death.

And new issue now...my sims won't sit down in the living room.  When they eat they stand or go outside and when they read they skip the livingroom and go to their beds.  I have tried many different couches and chairs in different areas in the room and have even started a new game and it's the same.

Think this is the correct link: http://www.4shared.com/file/175740710/6fb22351/Dragon_Cay.html?s=1
Downloading now, will see if I can get it to work...

Cheers! Off to give it a try.

EDIT: Installed without any problems. As expected, WA-specific decorations do not show up in the base game, so the dragon head isn't there. Another issue is with the road running along the beach near the billboard - it's both partially obscured by a lot and partially buried by land.

I've had this problem in my world as well.  What I did is flatten the terrain lower in the effected area then I smoothed it out. This corrected the cosmetic error.

Will awesomemod be updated for the 1.8/2.3 patch soon?

The Test is up if you are so inclined.

There are some reports on MTS that people have patched up and their CC is working just fine.  This is interesting...

Just the other day I sent my guy to Egypt for a second time.  A friend of his there had died of old age prior to that, but when he appeared at the base he had a negative moodlet of witnessing death, his LAST NAME was changed to the one person's last name AND he'd gained an adult daughter with a woman I'm not sure he even really knew that well...  And even the 'daughter's' half-sibling was in his relationship panel.
I had basically the exact same problem the other day. I sent my girl to Egypt with her daughter because her dad was from Egypt but when I got there she was heartbroken from witnessing death of some old random guy. I was looking through relationships to see if he was still there via bugs when I saw a teenage boy with the family icon. 'Son'. The old guy I saw in family tree had taken my last name and now I had this almost full grown son, in Egypt no less.

I guess Egypt is full of body snatchers!  Beware of Egypt!

lol that's the strangest bug I've seen so far.

Oh, I didnt know it has been mentioned before. Ok then, thanks!

Babs, there is a request thread.  Please go take a look to make sure you're not asking Pescado something someone already has.  I would check there from now on to make sure requests that you want to make haven't already been asked or denied etc.  And all requests should go there  Smiley

Thanks!
7  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: DUH! Awesomemod is not yet compatible with the expansion Pack or patch! on: 2009 November 19, 15:44:58
I only asked cause some other mods HAVE been updated to be compatible with the patch already!!

Don't worry about it Babs.  It's completely reasonable that you are asking this question.  See, some people jump all over others for not having as much knowledge of the inner workings of mods as they do for what reason I have no idea.  Some people just don't know as much about computers as others and it's actually normal.  Being rude to someone for asking a question about mods because they don't know much about them would be like me getting ticked off because someone doesn't know how to take a blood pressure.  Of course I'm a nurse and they aren't, so why would they.  Get the point?  If you have questions about the mod feel free to ask and just ignore the ignorance of those who believe everyone should have equal knowledge of all things.

I have to create an entirely new utility just to MAKE it compatible, so expect it to take awhile. The first expansion shakedown will be the hardest, and the task will likely go faster next expansion when the infrastructure is laid down.

Thanks for getting back to us on this El Presidente.  I should have known it was going to take a while.  I just left my old neighborhood alone and started a new one.  The only problem I'm having now is the game is crashing to the desktop during build mode, which it didn't do before I installed the expansion pack.  It has nothing to do with Awesomemod though so I'll see what I can do to figure this out.

I miss awesomemod   /cry

11  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Awesomemod is not yet compatible with the expansion Pack on: 2009 November 18, 04:39:04
I've just bought the new expansion pack and the only time it works is when I uninstall awesomemod.  So I'm guessing it's not compatible yet.  Do we have an ETA on when this will be done?  I don't even think I want to play it without the mod since I don't really like the game much witout it lol

Thanks all.
12  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Sims getting promoted way too easily! on: 2009 October 24, 14:21:00
Thank you!  How high can you set it to, please?  And, where do I find all of the keys to these commands?  I know I can look at them with "showconfig" but it tell you what it is set at not how to change it.  For example. after I read your reply I looked and the config is at "jobdifficultyscaling 1" but it does not tell me if I can scale it to 2 or 3 or 4.....

Thanks Smiley

I've done a few searches and I haven't been able to find an answer to my question.  Please accept my apology if there is an answer already that I failed to find.

I'm playing my sims on epic life span, the problem is, they are all almost to the end of their careers and they aren't even into adulthood yet.  Is there a way to change it so that sims have a much more difficult time getting promotions?

Thank you in advance for your help.

And again, this is a great mod and I wouldn't play Sims3 without it.  I appreciate all of the hard work that has been put into this!  Grin
