I don't know what your issue is or how to solve it but I have no issues with playing the LS hoods in my regular Sims 2 game. Obviously, if the issue with the boys underwear isn't fixed after you've dumped it into Sims 2 then something is borked somewhere.

You do realize you don't have to delete the stuff in the folder? This doesn't make much sense if you plan on doing elimination. Right? That would be rather stupid. Gah.

Did you check the Graveyard? Or Simscave? These are where I would start. In that order.

The plants are plastic and the only thing the mailman does is deliver love letters. Any NPC (such as the Repoman) you see in simPE that you haven't otherwise seen in the game is probably not used. Life and Pet Stories were cobbled together from the first few EPs and the quality EA craftsmanship is screamingly evident.
Trying to cheat through the preset stories will only fuck up your game. Don't do it. There's a certain cocktail of cheats that can be used in Free Play. There are several threads that will tell you, if you Search.   

I'm thinking there must be two (or more) versions of the store edition. The reason I ask is because I tried to use the DD no-CD cracks and they wouldn't work. Further investigations make it seem as though it is a post AL/MGS engine seeing as I had all the cheats and my user interface has things like the FT aspiration meter and grayed out spots for where things would go if I had those EPs. I also have use of BV jewelry (in CAS) and ceilings.
This is a different engine, no? Will very bad things™ happen using the hacks with a post AL/MSG engine?

There might be a caveat to this caveat. I don't have AL, but I do run Double Deluxe Store Edition with MGS (Uni, OFB, various SPs) and the hacks seem to be fine. And my game appears to be stable.

I had the phone jump bug problem not long ago. It was the Beaker House. They could use cell phones but not the handsets. I removed all the CC but it didn't help. I ended up deleting the house and using simsample's tutorial on MTS to get the house back.

Did they all pop out of the same truck? I had this happen the other day. My extra gardener spawn was because the truck was blocked by the afternoon school bus. The game kept spawning trucks until the bus left.
