1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Exceeding max traits on WA. Looking for some info. on: 2009 December 04, 04:47:09
It's a message created by a Twallanian mod, because I don't currently have Awesomemod installed and I've seen that message. I don't think there's any reason to be concerned because I've taken Sims on vacation before without them losing any traits.

I suspect you'd be better off asking at Twallan's site (Crazy Town) instead of here.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Well, well, THIS is a surprise... on: 2009 November 28, 10:40:52
I've never played any Sims 2 at all, and only the original of Sims 1. Do stuff packs tend to add new animations/interactions or group activities? Or is it basically just a bunch of store content in a box... as in just different looking existing objects?
3  Awesomeware / Armoire of Invincibility / Re: TOOL: 3Booter, the Incooperative Game Kicker on: 2009 November 26, 01:30:41
Your screenshot shows 3Booter.exe with a date of July.  The date should be November.  You either haven't downloaded correctly, or you haven't replaced correctly.

Okay. I found out the problem. Google Chrome consistently downloads the old July version. Downloading from the same place in Firefox downloads the Nov. 25th version. And yes, I was downloading the versions from the first two posts in this thread.

Just in case anyone else also using Chrome was having that problem. I can't imagine why it would be doing that however.
4  Awesomeware / Armoire of Invincibility / Re: TOOL: 3Booter, the Incooperative Game Kicker on: 2009 November 25, 06:56:00
I downloaded the files from the first two posts of this thread again.
I extracted all the contained files into C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 World Adventures\ folder.

Clicking on 3booter.exe does nothing (a command prompt box doesn't pop up, not even for a split second), however double clicking FPS_Limiter.exe briefly displays the following:

However, if I move all the files to the Sims 3 base game's root folder, then double clicking 3booter.exe loads up the game but the FPS is not limited (it goes to about 50-60 most of the time).

I have Windows 7 and the latest patch of World Adventure and the newest version of 3booter/FPS limiter.

Edit: Sorry about the big images again. Here's a screenie of my WA root folder.

Edit 2: Same result regardless of whether or not the Sims 3 launcher is running when 3booter.exe is clicked.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Lifetime Rewards and Food Spoiling on: 2009 November 23, 00:40:49
It's been reported that the majority of the new lifetime rewards either don't work, or make things even worse.

I personally have Meditative Trance Sleep and it actually makes your Sims require more sleep. They have to sleep for 12 hours a day now. Apparently No Bills Ever doesn't work either, but I haven't tested that since I actually use a mod to quadruple my bills. Can anyone give info on the other lifetime rewards?

Also, food seems to spoil in less than a day no matter whether or not you immediately put it in your fridge. Regardless of which fridge you're using (even the level 10 culinary reward). Very irritating for single Sims or very small families.
6  Awesomeware / Armoire of Invincibility / Re: TOOL: 3Booter, the Incooperative Game Kicker on: 2009 November 22, 23:44:56
If I move the files to the WA root folder, nothing happens when I double click 3booter.exe (game doesn't start). When I move them to the Sims 3 root folder, 3booter opens the game, but the FPS is still going way over 30.
7  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: New AwesomeMod Request Thread on: 2009 September 28, 05:22:23
I have two requests.

The first is can you shorten the birthday celebrations, I have the mod that stops the whistles, but I can't stand how long they all wave there arms (in unison) and carry-on before the person ages.  If They blow out the candles it seems to take forever for them to age.  If I wait until they age on the own, no drama, but I often age them using the cake (especially if I have aging off for any reason) or I want to age them early.

Not that I am pushing, but, when will we be able to make same sex test tube babies?

You already can. Download the NRaas pollinator. Or you can get one of the many same sex pregnancy/try for baby mods (but those aren't compatible with Awesomemod).
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Male pregnancy clothing - now with morphing on: 2009 September 17, 04:04:17
Great! I'll download it as soon as the Teen versions are finished.
10  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesome Story Driver Beta-Testing reports on: 2009 September 15, 15:46:01
New families (ones that I haven't created, and are not in the bin) are moving into the neighbourhood now. Not that I'm complaining, it's good. But I never saw anything about this in the changelog.
11  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: droptrait registeredsexoffender on: 2009 September 11, 04:03:06
Did you try Testingcheastenabled true and shift clicking on the Sim? What about the NRaas supercomputer to add/remove traits?
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Absimiliard's Realistic Aging Mod on: 2009 September 10, 02:48:18
Good idea, but I think EA distributed the ages the way they did because of the playability. In my opinion, child is the most boring life stage and teenager is the most interesting life stage (especially with the NRaas part time careers and a teen romance mod of some kind). Even though there's no way that they could look like a 17 year old for twice the length that they look like an 11 year old, the amount of interactions and skills available to children is just too small to hold most people's interest longer than the teenage life stage.

Edit: I think I'm gonna use your mod but just move a few days of life time from child into teen.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Really Long Save Tiime on: 2009 September 10, 02:39:28
I suppose it depends what you want.  If you want to dress up your sims like electronic paper dolls, then you might find this to be true.  On the other hand, I play with almost no cc and am more interested in creating distressing situations for my sims to live through.  You create your own interest.  If you play a cookie cutter game where your sim gets up, goes to work, fulfils his/her opportunities, builds skills, woohoos a couple of times to get spawn, eats, pees, and dies, it will get boring.  You need to be more creative.

Care to share any of these distressing situations? I too like doing malicious things to my Sims... except for the fact that there are so few things that you can do other than Fire, cheating on their spouse, giving them all the loser and unlucky trait, and making the children all hate each other. Please enlighten me! I'm running out of fun things to do in my game, and i've played just about every career and trait combination in the game.

By the way, you don't have to worry about losing the "Beautiful Vista" buff because a program to remedy this was made a while ago. I just gas everyone and blow up all the lots and then re-add the Beautiful Vistas wherever I need:

15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Teensy - a singleton's lot. on: 2009 September 08, 16:47:28
Thank you for this. I've seen "starters" that run as high as 40,000 and still don't even have a double bed.

17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The NRaas Romancer on: 2009 September 07, 19:47:06
It still seems impossible to have cousins kiss. The "Romantic" interaction tree doesn't even show up no matter how high you bump the relationship. Is there any way to get past the "blood" check for interactions?

Try this link,  Inteen 3 allows any releationship except mother/father to child,  and allows teens to elder to have releationships.  http://www.sexysims2.com/showthread.php?t=172373

How did you manage to get that mod to be compatible with Awesomemod?

Edit: And yes, I know they are both core mods but people are claiming they got both to work together. Maybe they're just lying?
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is there any way to permanently snuff the population? on: 2009 September 07, 19:25:46
NPC's spawn the instant they are needed. So every morning when it's time for a paper to be delivered you're going to get a new paper boy, unless too many already exist.
19  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 September 07, 19:20:03
You must initiate homosexual romance before the hood can slide up the Kinsey Scale. In a 'hood where no homosexual flirting has taken place, there will be no gay couples.

Above might be valid for Awesome Storymode only. It is possible the EAxis or IndieStone Storymodes do introduce pre-set homosexual Sims through a move in event.

I'm using Awesomestorymode of course.

I create alot of gay males for my own play but I haven't directed any of the 'hood residents to flirt with each other.

So is that gender specific? Will lesbianism only exist in the neighbourhood after I tell a girl to flirt with another girl (regardless of what I do with the boys)?
20  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 September 07, 18:58:45
Does Awesomestory pollinate gay couples? I peeked in at Parker Langerak and Christopher Steel's house and they somehow conceived a genetic daughter who just aged up to teen. She looks like a tough one!

And another question. Are there supposed to be any lesbians? I usually gas most of the male Sims in Sunset Valley when I start a new 'hood, therefore there's usually a 75% starting female population. But I haven't observed any lesbian romances yet.

22  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Crash on save on: 2009 September 07, 02:37:42
It seems games randomly get corrupted regardless of what mods or CC (or lack thereof) you have installed.

The only advice I can give is save often. I made that mistake again today while trying to make my own neighbourhood. I assumed an error code 13 or crash was unlikely because none of the residents would have even begun story progression, but I was wrong after about 3 hours of work.

The error codes/crashes seem to ONLY occur after you don't save for a long time. When I play with autosave every 15 minutes, I haven't had a single crash or error code.
23  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 September 06, 20:37:02
I've got a quick question about the Jealousy option.

"UseAwesomeJealousy - Don't use EA jealousy code: Must be on to use any other jealousy modes."

Does this turn OFF jealousy, or does it use a special Pescado jealousy routine? If so, what are the features/differences of the Awesome jealousy code as compared with EA's?
24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Questions about Sims genetics on: 2009 September 06, 07:24:17
Are the genetics chosen right when the lullaby plays during Try for Baby, or does it change during pregnancy (other than simply the gender)? i.e., if I changed a Sim's hair color while she was pregnant would her babies inherit it too?
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Share pix / vidz of THE HORROR here on: 2009 September 06, 07:19:32
I'm almost certain that babies are invincible. I've left them inside burning rooms and starved them for weeks by constantly deleting the social workers that keep coming to try to take them away. If you put them in a pool they will just sit there. Babies can't die! It's only possible to kill children and up AFAIK Sad
