1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Survey at Official Site on: 2006 May 01, 18:25:41
Nothing would be wrong with pets, however they really need to take into consideration what has been said in other threads.  I'd also like to see more aspirations and turns ons/offs.  That pleasure aspiration didn't really do much for the series.  A "vacation" neighborhood wouldn't be bad, as I'd like more businesses for the sims to own.  And as for natural disasters, if there isn't one that uttterly destroy my sim's  home to point where they'd wished that house insurance existed, maxis can forget it.   Tongue

I agree; I usually end up aging them up when I get tired of them.  Those ages are pretty useless and need to be more involved.

I see so much potential in all of these options, but I'm sure whatever they implement is going to fall really short of our expectations.  Undecided

Wow, reading these posts make me want to go clean out my downloads folder!  Grin

Exactly. And you can thank all the people who paid $15 for the Christmas pack for the fact that they are now coming out with another pack for $20. If this one sells, I suppose the Glamor pack will cost $25.  Roll Eyes

Well, all I have to say is that the Holiday pack was a rip off as well, and I'm glad I didn't buy it. And I agree, it wouldn't be surprising in the least to see the glamour pack priced that much, and I'll bet that a good chunk of people would blatently ignore that fact and shell out the money for it anyhow.

You know, I've been reading a back and forth battle between analysts claiming that the video game industry is on the decline, but they obviously aren't taking the Sims players into these facts, it seems like a large percent of them will buy anything with a Sims logo on it..

This reminds me of the retarded survey they had when you registered the game.  "Would you buy a figurine of your sim?"  Would you buy clothes of your sim that you can make?"  "Would buy objects that you like in your sims game?"  Hell no!  Roll Eyes

I pre-ordered mine on Jan. 24 on amazon.com and it still says that it will be shipping on Febuary 28th...  I think mine is way off.  Tongue

It does get boring being able to afford everything.  I normally modify careers so that the payroll doesn't doesn't help.  And I add more "stress" to the jobs in hopes that the sim'll need a good fix when they come home.  I don't know, I'm retarded.  Grin  That and Inge's mortgage shrub and Monique's computer really hurts them. Poor things.
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: If EA releases another party pack what would it have to have for you to buy on: 2005 October 25, 19:59:21
I'd probably buy it if they added the body modification options they have in bodyshop in CAS.  And maybe a caterer, and maybe some expensive maid or that stays home with the famiy. Some more objects that go beyond wallpaper and floortiles would be nice.

And as so many others, more turn ons and turn offs.

Connections are breaking...  Downloads are taking forever to find and get...

I swear that Satan made those forums... You keep going in a loop just to get something specific. Huh
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Build/buy catalog is empty on: 2005 August 28, 17:56:28
This happened to me once.  It was when I downleaded JM's toliet control thingy.  I think it was because of the way the object was catagorized. I was dumb enough to change the item grouping into by room and then pressed the back button.  Poof!  No build/buy mode stuff.  I just had to reload the game though to fix it.
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Are you going to buy Nightlife? on: 2005 August 22, 16:59:15
I think I'll get it...  It's always nice to have the dating thing a part of the simmie's life.  It'll be good for stories.
Besides, more objects are good.  Hacks to use 'em where they shouldn't be is better.  And cars... need cars.  Grin
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Request for Mortgage System on: 2005 August 18, 21:41:07
The online banking mod on MTS2 offers a loan faciility, which you pay back, but you need access to a computer to get the money, so that probably wouldn't help.

Could you put a computer on a community lot, in a bank?  I've never tried this, but it might be fun.  I have had rich relatives send money orders to their poorer kin so they could buy a decent house.

Vicki

Monique's computer? Yes.  It's available in the community lots.
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Any Roleplayers? The kind with math? on: 2005 August 16, 18:17:45
I do like playing RPGs a lot, my current favorite is Legend of Mana.  I do RP occasionaly, notably being either the quiet person who talks at the perfect time, or the random idiot who gets kicked all the time.   Grin

Okay, thanks for considering.  Smiley

Unless there was some way of allowing a household to have a negative balance...
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Request for Mortgage System on: 2005 August 15, 19:45:56
Inge motioned me here, saying that you'd probably know the coding for this.

Is it possible to make some kind of Mortgage System that allows people to borrow money before they buy the houses? I think it would be useful for larger families.  And maybe a system of forcing some kind of payment?  I don't want my simmies to forget that they owe money.  Wink
