I had a noob moment. You don't have to send the crystals off. You can put the crystal form in the world and it will give the aura. The only difference is that sending it off and paying 20 simoleans makes it a cube (I think). I like the cubes though. Feels like my house is filled with datacrons.

You can get crystals by chance when digging up stones. Just send them off to the geo research and you get a nifty cube with a focus aura. I've come across two, oxypin and wolfium.
If you get to level 3 cooking and are in the flirty emotion already, you can make "flirty cookies." These cost 23 simoleans to make and you get a plate of them. This is great for dates or you can serve them at a party for a rather amusing time.

My sims don't run around the house but that sounds rather awesome. I hate them leisurely walking to the toilet when waking up in the morning. Personally, I haul ass. Lazy sims.

Says the OP: 30/12/09Here is the Riverview.world file. 62MB Please use this instead of the Riverview.Sims3Pack included in the Pirate Bay torrent. D'oh! This file goes in: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds Put the Riverview.world file in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds like Witch instructed. Next, you must delete the Riverview.world file from your InstalledWorlds folder in your Documents to get it to work correctly. [/quote]

This is especially ironic, coming from you. I had a look at your post history, and you started spamming the board from the day you first registered.
Greyform is definitely more reputable. He lurked a month before he started yelling at noobs. I think he's yelled at me in fact. Job well done Just wanted to point out though, many of us lurked forever before we actually joined so that proves nothing.

.packages will create "lag" as they did in TS2.
The reason is about the same, it have to open multiple files and create thumbnails as sims3pack just puts everything on big files (and I think creates a index so files are faster in loading), the situation will only get worst as the game will be loading more and more files, either from expansions and/or from CC.
I meant for specifically the store items, because that's what the topic is. Reinstalling the pirated store items as .packages was an easy and working fix. My game is certainly not lagging, but my computer is not necessarily the same as the OP. I don't see why people can't just try it out. I'm not trying to start another .packages vs. sims3pack argument. I'm just saying in this case it works, it's fast, and it doesn't requiring you to reinstall the game or sacrifice a chicken on your mobo.

I believe the only work-around at this time is to convert files to .package. This is estimated to cause lag. So, personally, I am just not installing any new store content at this time. If someone has a better work-around, I'd like to hear it, please.
I keep hearing that making store items into packages causes lag but I'm not seeing it. There was a very long wordy discussion on this at MTS but in the end almost everyone just had crappy package files which were causing lag - deleting such files ended lag. I have over 1g of CC and it's all in .package (my C drive is for windows only so I'm not letting EA take over the 'my documents' folder) and my load time is about 5 minutes (much better than my Sims2 LOL). I have all the store items as packages. I'd say give it a try because it could vary PC to PC. If you get excessive lag try the procmon. The 3viewer is nice but apparently abandoned, so if you have issues with it there's really no support, seems the author now resides over the TSRwizard - which works great but names all the packages 0xblahblahblahrandomnumbers. There's also Delphy's Sims 3 Pack Multi-Extracter.

The Process Monitor is on that page but the filter is on page 12 of that thread, that way you'll only load Sims 3 or the EP. The original page is not what you're going to see the results from though. Once you've got the monitor running with the game fore about 5 minutes quit the game then on the ProcMon menu choose Tools/Count Occurrences then select 'path'. Then you can click on the 'count' twice so that it will show your highest repeat offenders first. Anything from your package file that loads about 200 or more times should be deleted. Hope this helps.

Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: How to Completely Remove AwesomeMod?

redownload and re-install AwesomeMod[/b].
This is NOT how to completely remove awesomemod. I can't think of a worse way to remove it in fact. Well, the OP stated that AM was expired and therefore wanted it gone because she didn't think about the option to simply get a new version. If she gets the latest AM and can install it properly there should be no reason to get rid of it. Unless she doesn't want to use it anymore. Granted, I didn't elaborate that in my post. Sorry to cause confusion. I guess I can understand that. My brain was working along the lines of 'if you don't know how to work it just don't bother'. If the OP gets frustrated with AM that easily I doubt they want to keep up with the constant updating so it may be best they just forget it for now. They even said 'I do understand that maybe I shouldn't have installed the mod in the first place' so I think AM was a little more than what they were looking for.

1. Well checked it in my game and I still have them getting naked to go to sleep in the tents. A fix would be nice if you have time. Naked sims aren't really detrimental to my game so if you are busy with other things I understand.
2. I never saw that movie so thanks for letting me in on the joke. My sheep plushies and I will now go hide in the corner and lurk more.

Ahh sheep plushi, I wish I could quit you. ... I don't get it. Also, glad I'm not the only person with this odd issue. I was starting to think I was insane. Pescado you said it should be fixed? Well I guess I'll make sure I have the newest AM and venture back to Egypt to test it out on my game ^^
