This is more than one problem. But the missing textures may come with the file i told you. See into you Sims 3 folder, if it is there, delete it.

maybe you downloaded  the apple version of framework. There is s a little file in the package called DDFMap.txt. if this is in Sims 3 root your game looks like that.

I think the best way will be that you make sure that all remaining files will be deleted.
I didnt beleave microsoft or any other software that the raely delete anything when you say delete it.
Firefox even didnt do it, i try out. There are still files like cookies.sqlite-journal
Lock in as a other user ( Administrator or a create a new user that is an administrator ( delte him after it ) )
Search for the Firefox cache folder and empty them manually. ( May google be with you... )

Sorry, i didnt read that exactly. I was looking for a help for my problem, my awesome mod ignored the config file. I only found out what i wrote.

It is the name. IE hangs a .xml at the file ( aweconf.package.xml ) Firefox didnt did that, and it works. Maybe you have only to delete the .xml
