Hey, for anyone whos having trouble, make sure that the date on the awesome mod file is past May. I was having a problem where the automatic updater kept replacing my new tester version of Awesome Mod with a version from May 19th, thus causing my Generation's patched game to fail.

Patch failure may have been the problem. But unless it carried over after update, doubt it. I do have everything patched, made sure with Patch Downloader.
However, I think the problem is over. I think it was something to do with the "MOAR INTERACTIONS" mod, this is one of the many mods I went and updated. It's a global interactions injector, and does screw with the laundry machine. I just wouldn't expect that to be the problem because Flagrant System Failures are awesome mod induced, correct?
But alas, stupid noob still is stoopid. Problem solved, I think. People with similar problem, read it and weep.

When you installed AMB, did you check & update your "thousands of mods"?
I just went through and updated most of my script mods. I will observe tomorrow whether or not this helps.

I appreciate it! I have not recently installed any custom content that I feel would provoke this, so it must be somthing to do with Ambitions being installed. I should test out other neighborhoods and see if it happens.

This may be blatantly obvious, very stupid, and easily searchable. But I'm a n00b, and I need help. I've searched and nothing quite matches this error. I keep getting a Flagrant System Error, and I haven't been getting those since, since hell, since when the game came out. But I just yesterday installed Ambitions. Prior, I had only Base and Late Night. This is the capture of the error I'm getting: From what I can make of it, it is somthing to do with Washing Laundry. The problem is I haven't even used the washing machines yet. Is this a mod conflict that is well known? Am I going to have to sift through my thousands of mods? I have all patches installed (for sure, I have the Patch Downloader), latest test version of AWE, fresh aweconfig.package, and am using the new method for mods.

I do believe this update severely borked CAW, and yet to see how the game fares.
You haven't checked? Why was this post necessary? No, as in i know this update has severely ruined CAW loading times, and reduces it to a pulp. The game loaded up fine, however, this patch is almost automatically bad news, what with 2 things "fixed"

Thank god I wasn't the only one, I was prepared to be flamed. Haha. But I had a feeling that it was different than that, because there was no other evidence of old-code 9. So until v2.5, use 3booter like the olden days, yes?
No, you were using the v2.2 readme. v2.4.1 installs should install 3booter just fine. This is because I am a noob. Extracted 2.4.1 manually, works like a piece of cake. Dismiss.

The updater bat is giving me an error code 9, read the readme; <snip> I check, 3booter is in the Late Night directory. I'm going to try and reinstall/redownload the updater manually, see what it gives me. 3booter worked on it's own.
Error 9 means something else: Error code 9
Meaning: The updater couldn't check for compatibility with your game version. This is probably because the server is down.
How to solve: Try again later or check your internet connection. Do you have an old readme file? To all: It turns out that I was 'abusing' the file host. They removed all files and pages, so the updater can't check for newer versions or download compatibility.txt to check for patch compatibility. I am now working on v2.4.1, which will remove all update checks and other things which involve that file host. I'll have to find a new one, which doesn't remove everything for... uh, semi-abuse. Update coming soon. EDIT: It's there. EDIT2: Patch compatibility check and test version download wil return in v2.5. Auto-update option will change to a notification. Updated to v2.4.1 (v2.4.1.110)Thank god I wasn't the only one, I was prepared to be flamed. Haha. But I had a feeling that it was different than that, because there was no other evidence of old-code 9. So until v2.5, use 3booter like the olden days, yes?

The updater bat is giving me an error code 9, read the readme; Error code 9
Meaning: The updater didn't move 3booter and/or FPS Limiter into the right folder. If you see this error code, the Updater has already downloaded the necessary files. To save disk space, you can press 1 to let the Updater clean up the download folder. I check, 3booter is in the Late Night directory. I'm going to try and reinstall/redownload the updater manually, see what it gives me. 3booter worked on it's own.

Is the new version of Awesomemod backwards compatible for not-yet-patched games? Or is it even useful for people who haven't updated to use the new one? Well, doing so makes you running the Unholy Hybrid, but in THEORY, it shouldn't blow up. I was actually going to ask the same question. I just installed the newest version of AM, and I get through the initial loading screen fine, but get an immediate soft crash when going to load the saved game. I have NOT installed the latest sims3 patch yet. I am having the EXACT same issue. I am guessing that the new Awesome blows up un-patched games, as J. M. said. Does anyone have a previous version of Awesome that they would be willing to upload to us peasants?
