TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: "grab hand" in Sims 3 glitching

Just last night I started having the grabby hand issue as well, but I noticed mine while in create-a-style. I grabbed a pattern to drag it to another object, and the hand stayed closed after 'dropping' the pattern. I could click on the color wheel with the closed hand, but that was all. I ended up having to F1 back into live mode, and restart the game because of the hand.
It happened on a small, premade lot in SV. It's the home Claire Ursine originally lived in. There are 2 sims in the household, and they don't have a shit ton of stuff, so I'm not really convinced that that's what's causing it in my game...

I was having the same problems, but my computer would also randomly shut off. It was, as everyone has said, a heating problem. I bought a 'cooling system' which was actually just a little platformed double-fan thing that goes underneath my laptop, and haven't had a problem since. My computer was only about a year old when it started happening, and I only had issues with overheating while the game was running.

My save times aren't the fastest, either. It was really bad when I first installed, and believe it or not, the first patched helped a little bit. I was waiting 10-15 minutes for a save pre-patch, and now it can take anywhere from a minute to like 8. Yes, I've timed it. Haven't been able to find a solution anywhere. Maybe it's just my computer, but I can't understand why if it's going to take all damn day to save, that it doesn't ALWAYS take all damn day.

I had the body-seperating happening with not only fat sims, but skinny ones as well. Updating the drivers didn't do anything for me, either. Have you seen any fat sims walking around your town? Guess I never noticed, but after I installed the patch before last, I saw this hugely fat sim and realized that I had never actually seen a fat sim in my game before. If you haven't updated, give that a try.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Medics predicting gender of larvae?

I think the predicting sim has to be at least a Neurosurgeon (level 9), and has to have a good relationship with the pregnant sim. By that I mean, they have to be friends. Like I said, it took like 3 sim-hours to get the option, maybe even longer. I would cheat their relationship up to max, and try it out again after your next promotion. I could be wrong about needing to be level 9 in the career, but when I read the thing about having mixed gender multiples, that was what was said.

It takes a LOT of socializing for the option to come up in my game. I was trying out the boy-&-girl-twins-at-the-same-time thing. So, I cheated a sim to Neurosurgeon or whatever it is, maxed out the relationship for that sim & the pregnant sim, then still had to have them perform 'friendly' interactions for like 3 or 4 sim-hours. It was nuts.

There's another map that came with mine. Actually, I think it came with the Collector's Edition Prima Guide... it's similar to the posted pic above, but it's more a birds eye view of the entire town, and it shows where all the collectables are spawned. I tried googling an image of it, but couldn't find one. Maybe that's what you're thinking of?
