So once the female dog had puppies the game was no longer crashing for you? Because I have one dog who is currently pregnant. I'll let time pass until she gives birth and I'll try to put AM back in.
2  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2013 March 09, 12:33:30
The crash happens in an old save I had before I updated to 1.50. The only thing I remember before it crashed was the trick-or-treaters outside...and it's Spring. Two hours later it goes black screen and crashes. This all happens in Lucky Palms. I haven't even gotten to the potential problems I'd have in a Uni World.

I tried both resetsim and resetworld but it changed nothing. I guess my save is forever corrupted at this point.

The game freezes and then crashes a sim day later for me. Either it's the patch fucking up or AM.
4  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2013 March 06, 16:39:14
I can't even get past 3:55 AM before the game crashes. Awesomemod is the only mod installed, its version is March 2nd, and my game is on 1.50. Pretty much the same kind of problem that Chain Reaction is having. :/

Sounds like a crack issue to me. Core mismatches only happen when a crack hasn't been updated to the latest patch. Having used cracks I would always wonder why I was getting the errors. Resolving it required updating the cracks.
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: help with sims 3 store content on: 2012 February 11, 14:27:56
I do tell the launcher to install it. those come in sims3pack format and it says first that it cannot be installed because I need an update. Then I run it through the s3c and Decrapify and it shows up in my launcher. Then I click install and it says it's installed. So I run the game and it's nowhere to be found. When I shut down the game for the night or because I have to work, it's back in the download tab in the launcher and it says it needs to be installed.

I had this problem previously with no idea how to correct it... until now, that is. I was originally opening sims3packs on my desktop. Sure, they show up with the success window and everything but once the launcher quits, it uninstalls itself. I now place them in the Downloads folder in My Documents and it works fine once everything is decrapified and such.

As for your problem, hellknowsimcoming, do you happen to have sr3c.exe and decrapify.exe in the Downloads folder? That's how my setup is and everything shows up fine in my game, including the More Magic Set.
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Clean Slate: Wonderful Relationship Fixer or Ruins Pregnancy? on: 2012 February 06, 15:12:17
Pregnancies don't just "abort" when buying a lifetime wish. Clean Slate destroys past "reputation". If your Sim is marked as one of the game's definitions for being a cheater then this is what the lifetime wish does. Don't hold it against me, however: cheating is banished from my Sim games (unless I feel sadistic).

Save your game first, cheat your way to the lifetime points, grab the reward, test it, and see if it works or not. Yay, so much simpler than you'd imagined.

The voodoo doll works fine when left unconverted. My problem with this damned thing is that it always takes forever (at least 30-40 sim seconds) to curse someone, especially when the target Sim is in the middle of an interaction. It takes so long that it's not even worth trying to harm them when you get no moodlets to accommodate the waiting time (except for the Evil trait, perhaps).

Books are too intelligent for you. Maybe...remove the mod?
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: problem with game - resetting everything after turning on & off on: 2012 January 27, 18:25:36
Are you using the 1.29 patch? AM doesn't support previous versions.
11  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 January 10, 13:58:14
I think writing the thank-you notes worked before the patch or even before Pets...But yeah, I' m having the same problem.
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Family members asking sims to the prom: Bug or feature? on: 2011 December 31, 14:25:34
I realized that I couldn't use the romance interaction on my boyfriend because he was really my nephew; the damn Sim invited me to the prom and at the time I didn't know they were related. Inside the Friendly interaction branch there is a "worry about relationship" option. Isn't that usually reserved when a relationship is on the rocks from having low friendship?

Also, my Sim has the Loner trait. Hmm. I guess she's that desperate.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Not an AwesomeMod Bug on: 2011 December 27, 17:58:24
I use CCMagic and I get no core mismatch messages. I have at least over 10 mods, including the newest AM update. I guess you can try clearing the CCMagic's cache? It could still have the old AM cache somewhere in the system, explaining the "mismatch".
14  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2011 December 16, 14:24:49
I USED to have this problem, but it just decided not to crash anymore. What I did was I removed AM, fast-forwarded several Sim hours past the hour it was crashing (3:00 to 5:00 AM for me), saved it, placed AM back in, and continued from that save on. It's been working flawlessly. Thank God for autosave backups. Yesterday I played 3 sim days and no crashes.

Then again, I have AM's timestamp of 12/14. Been hesitant to update. :/
15  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2011 December 15, 11:52:29
Well, I think I fixed my problem. I deleted the cache of CCMagic, changed the log file in options.ini to 0 to disable the store, and updated my mods to their latest versions. I was able to progress through a whole day without crashing.

As for those with the crash upon startup:

http://modthesims.info/showpost.php?p=3727289&postcount=80

At one point I too experienced the crash, but it somehow decided to stop crashing. Again, it may have something to do with the new patch's store ads bullshit.
16  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2011 December 15, 10:45:00
I only have AM's story driver disabled because I'm using Twallan's StoryProgression. I don't know how a recent mod update would break this, as it worked perfectly fine before.
17  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2011 December 15, 00:52:19
I tried resetworlds, but it didn't solve the crash. Whether I speed the game up or let it flow naturally, the crash still happens within 3:00 and 5:00 AM. I guess the autosave saved my game while it was unpaused.

EDIT: Before I saved the game, my child Sim's Cosmo doll came to life and walked annoyingly around the house, eventually forming back into its doll form. At 4:02 AM the save crashes. I wonder if deleting the doll will stop the crashing...

Here's my save data if you need it for analyzing: http://www.mediafire.com/?t8csc5j8x7nwya4
18  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2011 December 14, 15:01:35
The game closes several seconds after a save loads. I removed all my other mods except AM and it still crashes (using the most recent version of course). Removing AM fixes the problem. My game was saved at 3:30 AM so I'm not sure if it's another of those time-set crashes...
19  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2011 November 19, 16:22:18
The autosave function works fine for me; I have it set to 15 minutes and it autosaves my progress every time.

Until my copy of AM expires, my game is staying unpatched.
21  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.19/2.14/3.10/4.7/5.5/6.2 on: 2011 February 10, 02:32:15
I think they optimized loading a bit, both initially and in-game. When I go to a lot now, the sims on it are usually low quality and then eventually become regular, high quality. I have never seen this happen before the patch. As a result, things are consistently smooth instead of slowing down to load a lot and all the sims on it- seemingly because it's doing it gradually with sims, when before it would only gradually load the lot (with objects not popping into view or being devoid of texture for a little bit as the game streamed them).

In fact, I personally never saw a sim or a car in low LOD mode. They were always high LOD. But I've already noticed today alone that sims will enter into low LOD mode as they walk a certain distance away, and cars will do the same.

If this is true, this should be listed as one of their "fixes". Or at least fix some stuff before bloating the game with a bazillion more hot tubs.

I'm only installing the patch whenever AM requires it or when my copy expires. I hope it won't be for a very long time.
22  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Installing Awesomemod - the simple explanation on: 2011 February 03, 17:57:44
If you're not computer literate, don't even bother installing mods.
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.19.44.0100XX on: 2011 February 01, 20:10:02
Wow, EA sure got lazy with their patching. How many borked corrections were in the last one---100?
24  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Sims 3 (Steam Edition) - Newer patch versions. on: 2011 February 01, 03:04:12
Yeah, but wouldn't I have to search for info on how to do that?  What a nuisance!

Steam > Settings > Interface > Run Steam when my computer starts

Yay.
25  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Written Books Not Showing Up on: 2011 January 29, 15:40:03
*raises hand*

I have the problem as well. My Sim wrote four books and they hadn't appeared in the bookstore.
