Any chance that somebody would convert some of the stuff from Sims medieval to The Sims 3 ?

* Back up your game

* If you have an object called "Girl Doll Dressed" in the Installed Content in your Launcher, please uninstall it.

* To delete the file: 0x038a68fe04da61a6aa65f939d77fbc37.package, go into your DCBackups (C:\Documents and Settings\your name\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\DCBackup), find the file and delete it.

* If you had that file in your C:\Documents and Settings\your name\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\DCBackup folder, this may have attached itself to your exports. If you had that file and recently exported content to your Launcher, delete that content from your Export folder and your Launcher.

* Also, check your creations in your Studio that you may have recently uploaded. They may also have the corrupted file. If so, please remove it.

Alternatively, you can run your game with the "Run without Custom Content" box unchecked from your Launcher (go to Installed Content) before running if you are unsure of what to delete and uninstall.

To get rid of the doll search the electronics arts folder in "my docs" for the following file ....

0x038a68fe04da61a6aa65f939d77fbc37.package

and/or go slowly and very carefully through  "installed content" in the launcher

But I really am glad I got rid of the doll.

And I hope the reason that the simsgurus asks people not to up- and download on the Exchange right now is because the are cleaning it ?? !!

I (of course ) have a no-pirated game and I am happy that I was warned and got rid of the doll.

The biggest problem for me is that my buildings will look so bad when I upload them if I am not very careful not to use anything else but basegame stuff

No they won't disappearing completely. They are still in the catalog in my game
But I can't use them in "Edit in Game"
and if I put down a lot from my bin in EIG only basegame-stuff will show - also after deploying the world...

I have some problems with the Edit in Game that I heard many others have too.

(If this has been covered somewhere here,  please provide me with a link. TY - I couldn't find it on my own )

I can't use EIG unless I move the DCCache folder away from C:\Documents \Electronic Arts\The Sims 3

But that leaves me with very limited possibilities in the buy and build mode

Not only third hand CC disappears - so does all Store items


And the things you use to decorate your houses disappear if you put down a lot you made in another world in your new CAW project


It is so frustrating.  

You will only be able to upload a world with base game items in buildings
You can't use  all the houses you have spend time decorating

- I can understand it because that way you would give away Store items for free. - And EA would of course not allow that

But I only wish they where there to see if people who downloaded your world possessed them - like in TS2

Any ideas or comments on that?

Found out that the resource file stopped me from having (visible) fish in my new aquarium. What to do??
