1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bork List: Freetime Ed. on: 2008 March 06, 12:26:46

Besides the actions dropping from queues, my other main complaint is plummeting energy levels. Every sim needs to take a nap or they do not make it through the day.

Same here!
Medium energy + 1 hour playing football/basketball or hicking = energy bar in the red

It's impossible to play a sim with sports as hobby because they always need to sleep. Quite annoying!
2  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Celebration Stuff Hair on: 2007 April 27, 00:14:47
I can't download the files. Every time I click the link, I get re-directed to rogepost.com (the upload page).  Huh
3  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What do you build into your houses? on: 2007 April 18, 12:50:51
The mandatory features of my housing are clearly documented under Awesomespec v5. You should build all your houses like that!

Where are these specs? I can't find them.
Is this just lies and propaganda?   Roll Eyes
4  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Another Environment Question: Greenhouses on: 2007 April 04, 11:52:48
I wonder if it could be the use of fertilizer on the garden? Well, you know... Stinky gardens... Wink
5  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Game crashing to desktop on: 2006 November 19, 20:23:03
My game is crashing apparently at random. I'm attaching a log file in case someone can tell me what's wrong here - the game, Windows XP or the hardware... I'm really not awesome...
Thanks in advance.

PS: In addition to the log file, the game is generating a .MDMP file with the same name as the error log file in the Logs directory.
6  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The Plague-Revisited on: 2006 November 17, 19:00:55
While I've never tried it, I know the biotech station can create a virus which is highly contagious and can be fatal.  It is passed on the way any virus is.

I've tried that but I can't get any sim to be contaminated with the virus created with the station. Even tried to sell it illegaly - in debug mode - but that didn't work as well (error message). And if I leave the virus on the station so it can be stolen, it dissapeares soon afterwards.
7  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Suggest Outfit broken in Pets ? on: 2006 November 13, 14:58:56
Okay, so it's a mystery. I can't see anything obvious there that hints why it's broken, so evidence currently points at hardcode-broken.

Does it mean that this cannot be fixed? What a pity....
8  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Floating disembodied head. on: 2006 November 13, 14:32:41
You can get townies to permanently change clothes without any hacks at all if you have OFB. I had a clothing store and was trying to make a sale and went to a townie and ... I don't remember what the choice was, but it was something like "influence to buy new clothes" or something... Anyway this was way back before I had any real hacks in my game to speak of and the townie allowed me to pick out a new outfit for him and then he wore that all the time instead of what he used to wear.

I used to do this with townies. But, after Pets, they don't change clothes anymore. That is a pity because I really liked this feature. I can  still choose the outfit, and when they pay for it they do that jumping/turning movement to change clothes but nothing happens - they're still wearing their nasty one. And that's happening to my playable sims too. I choose the outfit for them to buy, they buy it and, afterwards, when I go to check the new clothes in their wardrobe, there's nothing there.
Well, it would be nice to have this feature back...
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Any one using Planetary Pet Store on: 2006 October 22, 11:00:25
So, the only way to buy a bird or a rat is with OFB/ownable store? Huh
10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Question for the awesome ones.... on: 2006 October 21, 10:25:50
Any one using GunMod's camera settings - or any other camera settings that let you see the whole neighborhood? I copied over the camera settings I had before installing Pets and I can't see to the edges of the map any more. Any one else having this problem?

To see the whole neighbourhood go to My Documents/Sims2/ Cameras/ and edit the file NeighborhoodCamera.txt.
Substitute the line "constrain   .35 .35 .35 .35" with "constrain   .90 .90 .90 .90"
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Marrying an unknown character on: 2006 September 08, 12:21:43
Jordi: No. I don't have lobonanny. The only NPC mod I have is Pescado's antiredundancy.

Assmitten:  Cheesy More or less what happened.
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Marrying an unknown character on: 2006 September 08, 11:40:36
One of my male sims married a NPC waitress. After the marriage, I sent her to change her looks in the mirror and, after that, her face dissappeared! I did it again and the face re-appeared but it was changed. It was a different sim.  Huh
I then went to SimPe to check if everything was fine and found out that the bride was an unknown character - with the Mr. Pottato Head photo and all. Is this a problem? Has this ever happened in your game before?
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: BURGLAR MORE CHALLENGING on: 2006 August 30, 11:31:27
Well, I hate burglars. And I'm not as lucky as you people because ALL my houses have been burgled, in all my neighbourhoods!
One of them has even stolen my poverty challenge sim and took the baby's potty and the doll-house. The baby's got traumatized and because of that he's got the permanent "want to see the burglar's ghost" wish which is quite annoying. And besides that, all the sims in the house totally hate the guy but, as time goes by, the hate turns into "friendship" cause relationship points keep increasing until 100/100. It' quite stupid indeed!
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Fast and fatal? on: 2006 August 03, 00:32:12
Why not just use the Ingelogical shrub to boot them to the townie/dormie pools and forget about 'em? Killing your sims leaves dead character files behind, an outcome which may be unhelpful to the long-term health of your neighborhood. Deleting is even worse.
Great idea! Why haven't I thought of this before? Hehee... Maybe because I'm totally not awesome.
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Inviting downtownies to parties on: 2006 July 20, 13:06:07
Neriana, I don't think that's it because they show up with a personal invitation.
Well, I've found a mod to solve this problem: http://www.insimenator.net/showthread.php?t=16951, if someone is interested. It's Squinge's Always Accept Party Invitations. Now, everybody comes to my regular parties.
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Inviting downtownies to parties on: 2006 July 14, 12:39:09
Why is it that downtownies never come to the parties I throw?   Huh  My sims are best friends with them but it seems they always have something better to do.  Angry

Can this be fixed/modded?
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Hack Idea: A count on how many to make? on: 2006 June 27, 10:27:01
You people here are so merciless!! Roll Eyes
Nobody is perfect! You know, I'm Brazilian...  Embarrassed

Anyway, I think knightguy had a great idea and if that could be implemented it would be a nice mod.

Go ahead! You may correct my spelling/grammar if you want to. Grin
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: New Patches for OFB and FFS on: 2006 June 17, 10:25:47
Thanks a lot AmberDiceless and jsalemi! My game is now properly patched.
I had the same problem as you, jsalemi, with the same file.
It's better to replace a single file than the whole EP, isn't it?  Wink
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: New Patches for OFB and FFS on: 2006 June 16, 10:32:52
Soo...it keeps giving me an error and telling me uninstall/reinstall.

Yeah...I don't think so.

At first I was going to congratulate Maxis for finally getting off their asses and patching the game, now I'm pissed again =P

I'm having this same problem and I'm not sure I want to do the reinstall thing. I don't think I have any core game file hacks.
BlueSoup and AmberDiceless: What have you done to avoid it? Could you please explain it to me?
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Offering makeup actually works? on: 2006 April 13, 00:37:32
I have no problems with my salon.
No employees, just my sim. She offers the makeout (if the customer wants it, of course)

Cheesy Cheesy Are you sure it's a salon you're running there?  LOL

C

Hehehe... Thanks for correcting me... I should have paid more attention to the title (makeup not makeout! or would it be makeover?)
You know, I speak Portuguese and this stuff always confuses me... out? up? over? in? on? I know it can totally change the meaning of what one is saying. I got to study harder!  Grin
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: A RUMOUR about the next expansion pack on: 2006 April 06, 17:31:28
Well, if they HAD to make them, and they stuffed them in an expansion pack that had a lot of items, features, careers, and LTWs you REALLY wanted? How would they be tolerable?

Well, for me pets would be highly tolerable if they should grow, breed and die like any other sim.
I believe that (saw this in another thread) there's the need of an EP for family sims (I've got plenty of them in my game). Farming, pets, vacations may all be part of a happy family life. Well, I am a bit of a family sim myself although I have no farm and can't afford to go on vacation. But I do have a dog!
Simmers here don't seem to be the family type.
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Community Weddings after OFB on: 2006 March 31, 01:57:10
Sorry for my ignorance... but where does this altar come from?
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Offering makeup actually works? on: 2006 March 19, 00:00:58
I have no problems with my salon.
No employees, just my sim. Click on the chair and chose "Be stylist". Then, she offers the makeover (if the customer wants it, of course) and when the customer accepts it I click on the chair and pick "Be stylist" again. The customer sits down right after that and has his hair cut or whatever. And my sim gets paid all right. I don't have anything to distract them like expresso machines or hot tubs. And the only sales hack I've got is Monique's "Browse and Buy Faster 50%".
It's the best business I'm running so far because there is no need of employees.
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Jump bug in the restaurant on: 2006 March 15, 11:55:17
Thanks for the fast reply!! Grin
I'll try to check this with simpe. Favorite food token!?!?! I never knew sims had a favorite food... Damn... just to spoil my game.
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Jump bug in the restaurant on: 2006 March 15, 11:44:35
Jump bug is back in my game.  Sad
The sim enters the restaurant, talks to the maitre and is shown to his sit. He sits and instead of ordering the food he jumps out of the chair. After this he doesn't ask for a table anymore and doesn't leave the lot either. He just stays there wandering without spending a dime. I'm loosing big money in my restaurant because of this.
I've attached the error log file. Can someone help me?
