Yeah, wow. I think she's about the prettiest pudding I've seen so far, so it totally makes sense that she's translucent in game, hehe.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Things you DO like... on: 2009 June 22, 23:51:47

I love the beaches and the oceans.  If they make a BV type expansion it will be awesome to swim in the ocean.  (They should have shark attacks!!)

Shark attacks would be fantastic; more ways to die ftw.

I really like the sunrises and sunsets and the way the water reflects the light. I love the wider variety of skills and ways to make money. The variety of LTWs is a big improvement, too.

Who the fuck are you again?  And why are you acting like you have the disc inserted in your ass, rather than your computer?

I am simply a random person who asked another random person a couple of questions on an internet forum. Did I somehow offend your sensibilities? Truly, it will keep me up at night.

I like that it is current and I'm part of the hip crowd.  (like, DUH, why do you thing 90% of us are playing it?)

Gee, and here I thought most people are playing it because they actually enjoy the game. I'm also interested in why you think playing a game makes you "part of the hip crowd" and why you would want to be included, since it forces you to play a game you dislike.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Things you DO like... on: 2009 June 22, 02:53:29
So essentially, your "Things I Like" post is a backhanded "This Shit Annoys Me" post. I'm curious why you (general you here because it seems this applies to many people) insist on playing a game you dislike.

I would just like to say that the Peedrinker of Awesomeland having the hydrophopic trait is lulzy.
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Heartbreaker LTW question on: 2009 June 06, 04:24:34
Speaking of confusing LTWs, I've been playing the Shallow family in Riverview. Kurt, the eldest, is a widow according to his bio and he has the gold digger LTW. In the Riverview graveyard, there is a Sasha Shallow; I thought she was Kurt's dead wife and so sent him there every night to get a glimpse of her (and it took over a sim week to finally get a look at her, grr.) Anyway, it seems that either the relationship is borked or she was related to a different branch of the Shallow family because they had to be introduced and there was no LTW fulfillment, which is something that could have been brought to my attention YESTERDAY. Oh well, hopefully you will learn from my fail. Luckily, he's been putting the moves on Hannah Jones, so maybe there's time to make her leave Aiden, marry Kurt and kill her off before he kicks it.

Are you on dialup or something?

No, very very slow DSL.

Methinks it's time to switch ISPs.
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Razor1911 release vs. Reloaded release on: 2009 June 03, 01:58:43
Lorelai, would you mind mentioning whether you had any Edge Smoothing enabled?  I'm not sure if 'graphics on high' definitely implies that.

I believe I did, but you wouldn't know it from the screenshots, alas. Seems liek I put it on to try to get, you know, smoother edges. They are still jaggedy.

Point is kind of moot at this juncture, though, given that I understand I'll have to get the RLD --> RZR+patch file to use any of the CC or EA content made. Alas, only link I've found is on Demonoid, and I have lost my password, and it claims it has sent it to me but hasn't, 24 hours later. *shrug*

Time to poke through my email archives and see if I still have the original email, or find another link.

I'm downloading the patch from demonoid as I type. I can send it when it finishes if you can't get your password worked out; it's only 711mb.

ETA: Forgot to mention that I installed everything from the store thread, with the exceptions of Riverview and the tiki set, and it installed just fine pre-patch. I'm just downloading the patch to be on the same page as everyone else to make future endeavors easier.
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE HORROR: The REAL TS3 Scoop As It Unfolds on: 2009 June 01, 08:22:23
You don't want to do that. It's the most annoying trait in the game: Actions will randomly drop from queue.

Unfortunately, I've done that already, although not a self sim as I tend not to make them. I made an evil / mean-spirited / insane / brave  / absentminded sim to be the emperor of evil in the criminal career track. She was pretty fun except for the random queue stompage and that irritating "duuuuuh" sound they make from the absentmindedness.

(The self sim comment I made previously was a lame attempt at self-sporkage.)
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE HORROR: The REAL TS3 Scoop As It Unfolds on: 2009 June 01, 07:46:48

I'm seem to remember that the writing skill journal keeps track of the number of read, which led me to wonder if the number of books read increases the quality of those written.

You're right, it does; I just went in game to check. I suppose I should give my self sim the absentminded trait.  Roll Eyes
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE HORROR: The REAL TS3 Scoop As It Unfolds on: 2009 June 01, 07:36:27
It would be really nice if they kept a tally somewhere of the number of books a sim has read for the wish to read fifty books and similar ones like it. Apparently a small counter on the wish is too much to ask for.

Wow, Minerva is... special.

(And Maynard Keenan? Tool, APC, Puscifer fan, perchance?)
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE HORROR: The REAL TS3 Scoop As It Unfolds on: 2009 May 31, 21:32:16
Is anyone else having issues when mousing over wishes to read them? It flickers and disappears and I have to do it several times before it will stay put long enough to read. Unfortunately, it's not only wishes that are affected but anything that you mouse over to read. Other than that, I've thankfully had no other glitches.
15  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: two issues with pets on: 2008 December 03, 05:28:04
They were already pet best friends when the wants rolled up, but I went in game just now and used TJ's blender to reduce it to -20, had her yell at the dog to remove the friend stuff, then use the blender again to put it back half way and had her play with it until they became pet best friends again. No want fulfillment.
16  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / two issues with pets on: 2008 December 03, 05:04:09
Hello all,

As the subject line says, I'm having two problems with my game regarding pets. I've searched here and other sites for possible solutions but was unable to find anything. It seems to me that I've seen something similar discussed here before (I'm an avid lurker) but I can't seem to find anything regardless of what words I plug into the search box. I would be extremely appreciative if any of you would be willing to help me.

I recently installed all the empty templates found in Peasantry and then restarted all the neighborhoods. After checking the proper folders to make sure it worked, I created ten families in Belladonna Cove and began to play Family 1. The first issue is that two strays appeared on the first day even though I'm using the latest version of the DC and nostrayrespawn. The second issue is that both family members rolled wants to be friends with the two pets, except the wants are to be friends with sims, not pets, like so:

These problems were happening before I installed the empty templates and restarted all the neighborhoods. I also removed my downloads folder, with the exceptions of the MATY, Simbology, default replacements and makeup subfolders. I planned to play without any CC except the bare necessities for awhile since I was starting all over and really digging the speedy loading times. Also, I have all EPs and SPs up to and including M&G Stuff.

All of that being said, I'm totally prepared for copious amounts of sporkage for being nonawesome. Thanks in advance for even reading this far.

17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What's in YOUR Downloads? on: 2008 January 03, 22:16:42
I use the BV DC minus expensivenpcs, no20khandout, dailygardener and harderjobs.
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Odd things I noticed about Seasons on: 2007 March 09, 17:08:11
Are any of you able to get your elders to retire? Dora Ottomas, Betty Goldstein and Catherine Viejo, none of them can retire. It's annoying because I want Dora to stay home and take care of all of her grandchildren but I would rather her retire than quit. Is this happening to anyone else?
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Journalism career reward on: 2007 March 09, 16:31:17
It seems to raise some of their motives a bit while they're in the room with the award. It doesn't do as good of a job as the adventurer career reward, but it's not bad.
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Odd things I noticed about Seasons on: 2007 March 04, 11:09:23
So when Rose Greenman bathes Daisy, Rose's water motive goes up for you all? It doesn't at all in my game. I have to have Rose shower or swim after bathing Daisy. It does raise both of their love motives though.
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Odd things I noticed about Seasons on: 2007 March 02, 23:35:45
Someone said that they weren't able to call the garden club. I noticed that only the two original phones from the base game have the option to call them, the two new grayish phones from Pets don't have the call -> service -> garden club option at all.  Roll Eyes

23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cyd Roseland on: 2007 February 04, 13:40:06
Yea, I've not had problems with Cyd either.  In fact, he seems rather fond of Tara Katt, and I foresee pairing them off...

In my Pleasantview, Cyd and Tara got married, had a bunch of ankle-biters and can't keep their hands off of each other. The only annoying thing is the number of animals, someone is constantly having to fill the food bowls.  Cheesy
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pets patch released on: 2007 February 04, 12:50:27
I just took Dina Caliente Downtown to the Crypt O' Night Club (which loaded just fine) and I still had strays running amok. I did install the patch with all my cc and hacks still in (except twojeffs' puppy/kitten parentage hack, took that out first) but it installed fine and everything else is ok (afaik) so *shrug* I guess.
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pets patch released on: 2007 February 04, 10:21:51
Has anyone noticed any weirdness with household pets post patch? I have a family with three cats and one dog and everything was fine until after the patch. Now the cats sink into the floor/ground, they won't eat unless I call them specifically to do so and all of their motives are suddenly in the red all the time.

Also, I tried to visit a couple of community lots in build mode that have only EA content and they wouldn't load. I would get the loading screen for about an hour and after that I got annoyed and shut down the game. One of them was a community lot in Pleasantview and another was Fresh Rush grocery in Downtown. I've been to a couple of other community lots in both 'hoods before these and they were fine but now I'm nervous to let my sims go anywhere.

Like many of you, my redheaded maid is also now a blonde but I haven't noticed any problems with toddler toys and haven't had any new babies since the patch.
