I do have the most recent update, and the crack I downloaded matched that update, so there shoulodn't have been a problem with incompatibility. That being said, I did read Naiad's suggestion about trying a mod rather than a crack. I installed Twallan's No-CD Mod and it worked beautifully. Thank you, Naiad. Smiley Hopefully I can now proceed with installing the rest of the EP's.

"I mounted the image, installed it, and then downloaded a no-CD crack."

If you're going to attempt to flame me, lrn 2 reed. I already installed the no-CD crack. The problem is that, even with said crack, it still does not work.

The problem: After installing HELS and Ambitions, I get a message upon loading that says that the game could not verify that my copy was legal, and that I should contact customer service.

I have a legal copy of the base game, and torrents of most of the other EPs (I left out WA and Fast Lane Stuff, because meh). I wasn't sure if they needed to be installed in chronological order or not, but I decided it was the better idea. I installed HELS, and followed the instructions on the ReadMe to a T. When loading up the game, it told me there was no CD. I was a little confused, and I didn't know if I needed a no-CD crack. I figured the game would load with the original CD, since HELS is just a stuff pack. That may have been a mistake on my part, but moving on. I decided that maybe I should just install my next EP, Ambitions, and see if that sorted it out. After all, I can't possibly play with two CD's in at the same time. I mounted the image, installed it, and then downloaded a no-CD crack. This time when I loaded the game, it didn't show the message that I had to insert the Ambitions CD, but rather the message that my copy was not a legal one. I tried disconnecting from the internet, hoping that the game was just phoning home and if it couldn't tell EA that the game was arr'd, it would let me play.

Obviously that didn't work. And now I'm having a hard time trying to fix the issue, because everywhere I look tries to give me instructions on how to mount the image or where to download the no-CD crack. That you Google, I got that part. I'd like to install and play everything I've torrented, but I think it would be a bad move to keep ignoring this issue and installing more files that I probably won't be able to play.

So, anyone know anything besides "DIAF, n00b" because I tried that and it didn't do much in the way of resolving my problem. Thanks in advance. Smiley

I'm fairly certain you can use Twallan's SuperComputer to change relationships/set family members.

1. You don't know the definition of "necromancy"- here of ALL places - and you call Silent Dreamer a fool?

2. Silent Dreamer is a female, twat.

I have the same issue in my game. My problem is that I have a shirt and a top that aren't properly age categorized, and SOMEHOW thats always what the damn babies end up "wearing." It's not as much of an annoyance for me because I hate the baby stage anyway and I always age them up to toddler as soon as they're born and then edit the outfit so they're not wearing adult clothing.

Anyway, hoping that helps?

I am... baffled, and more than a little humiliated that I did not think of that before. Apparently the stove thought it was being used (for the past 3 days, stove? Rly?). Shift+Click was able to allow me to delete it.

You win an internetz.

Problem: Sims stop cooking in the middle of food preparation [always when whatever food is about to be placed on the stove/in the oven]. When I click "Continue cooking," they pick up the pan, think for a second, and place it back down on the counter. Lather, rinse, repeat.

The sim I initially noticed this with has a level 10 cooking. I tried another sim who has no cooking skill (I don't know, she's been reading so many books about cooking maybe she's sick of it now?) and still, no one can put the damn pan on the stove. This is especially annoying since I have a pregnant sim who keeps rollling food wants.

This does NOT seem to be an AM problem, as the problem continues after removal of said mod. In fact, I have removed ALL of my mods in hopes of finding something corrupt, but no luck. I also have not patched up to 1.9, as I have neither WA nor HELS and thus think its a monstrous waste of time. I even added a faster cooking mod in the hopes that it would override some small error and while it SOUNDED like a good idea at the time (if a desperate one), it has, naturally, failed.

I spent all morning scouring through here, Google, MTS, and anywhere I could think in order to find some way to fix this, but no such luck. Does anyone have ANY idea of how the hell I can fix this [keeping in mind, and I apologize for this, that I am pretty much a shit-for-brains where these computer innards' are concerned]?

Many thanks in advance!

Edit: I'm a dumbass. End.
