Uhm, yes. Just a bit.

Okay, look. Since I see that this is obviously going nowhere because half the forum is compiled of douchebags, I'll just freaking help him get back XP, however difficult that's going to be. As of now it's not running any programs, just because Vista apparently hates drivers. But I will tell him to try the installer as admin. Even though I think it's his personal computer and there aren't any other accounts.

And jordi, learn to freaking read. It's TS2. Not TS3.
3  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Direct X 9 compatable graphics adapters? on: 2009 September 23, 22:28:23
He tried that already. It didn't have any effect whatsoever. I read something somewhere that Vista was telling the drivers that there was no directx on the system, and that it couldn't tell that the drivers were updated. Basically he wants to get either make programs work on Vista or get rid of it, and it'll take awhile to reinstall windows again.

So, I'm kinda doing this for a friend because he doesn't have internet access right now and is freaking out.

When his computer crashed, they installed Windows Vista on his system instead of the old XP. Now Sims 2 refuses to work, as do a lot of other programs. Is there a way to force Sims 2 to work on Vista, or a way to get rid of Vista and put the old system back?

If you mean 'stackable' by putting objects on them, there's a bunch of OMSPs at MTS. Go search.

Why are people helping the ASSTEAR?!

Ask at MTS, WHERE YOU GOT THE HACK. Were you banned there, too?

What crawled up your vagina and died?
Problem is, the hack isn't on MTS anymore, or at least I sure couldn't find it after 30 minutes of searching.

I did manage to fix it though. As it turned out, if you keep the new toddler food in without the high chair hack, it corrupts all of the high chairs if you say 'Feed ____". So, removed the toddler food and voila, no more snap reset on toddlers.

The high chairs can be convenient. One of my Sims in generation 2 of my legacy decided to pop out four kids and it's easier to have four bowls on the trays for Sims to clean up autonomously than 324934890 bottles all over the floor that just rot away.

Try that to help with a clean uninstallation. :] If you didn't get rid of it all the first time, something might have gotten corrupted. Wouldn't hurt to clean out your hard drive, either.

Eh, well, ok.

I've been waiting in vain for this weird problem to correct itself, but I know it started after I installed Becka's high chair hack thing from MTS. It started acting weird, so I deleted it. Now whenever I ask a Sim to feed a toddler in a high chair (the bowl food) everything works fine until the food is actually placed on the high chair tray. Then I get an error message and am forced to reset. Which pops the toddler out of the chair and onto the floor.

It's not a huge problem, since I can still feed them with bottles, but I'd like to know if that hack killed some coding at some point (it does it with Maxis high chairs, too).

Does it do the same thing when you're not close to a hill or a mountain? The game is unbelievably picky when it  comes to hills and stuff. (Although in my game, the damn lots often CREATE mini hills once I actually go into the lot. Then I have to put stairs and shit just to get to the sidewalk. n_n)
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: is there a list of debug messages? on: 2009 July 18, 17:34:50
Well, I got you a list of Object Errors here, but I'm not sure what others there could be. Most weird errors like that have to do with a hack conflict anyway, so...if it happens again, take out all your hacks and see if it works without them.

More separate shoes, dammit.

Have you tried removing your downloads folder and seeing if you can play the game properly that way?
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How do I change a sim's last name? on: 2009 July 12, 20:08:47
http://www.simbology.com/smf/index.php/topic,20.0.html

Sim Blender has an option to copy a first name to the last name. So you could change the first name to Greenwood, then take Simblender and turn it into the last name. Then just go back and change the first name again. I think that's how it works.

You could also get an external hard drive and put all of your CC in there to save space on your computer. Also, try using the Compressorizer on some stuff. If it's the hair files that made it start loading so slowly, maybe you have something in there that's really huge.
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Hours of load time. on: 2009 July 09, 02:15:05
Weirdly enough, I got Apartment Life and the game loads faster. o_O I'm not sure what's up with that.

In any case, how much space is on your computer and how much CC do you have? Could be just an overload.
17  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Social Worker stealing kid for no reason on: 2009 July 07, 05:46:20
I say just dump all your hacks into a folder labeled 'Hacks' (unless you've done that already) and then take the Hacks folder out of the game and see if it works without it. Weird things happen if you haven't got a hack updated properly too.
18  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Undefined transition errors? on: 2009 July 01, 16:06:47
I think I solved the problem. I took out my hacks folder and everything was going swimmingly. Now I have a slightly complicated question. Since AL is the last expansion pack, would I have to keep updating my hacks if I were to install Free Time or something later afterwards? I keep hearing people talk about how their hacks go weird if they don't install the games in order. But here's the order my games are installed:

Double Deluxe
Pets
University
Apartment Life

Between CAS and moving a Sim into a lot, I've been getting them ever since I allowed CC to be enabled in my new Apartment Life. I'm now looking to see if all of my hacks and stuff are updated, but I'm not sure what to do since there is so many of the errors being thrown up. I looked in my error logs, and saw that almost all of the object errors had something to do with Inteen, but I can't be sure. I'm getting it right before CAS starts up, and multiple times before a Sim moves into a lot (which doesn't work - the game will either crash or I will end up in a lot without Sims).

Is there something else I can do to make sure this problem is gone completely?
