TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.42

Patching is presently in progress. Damage levels are roughly what was expected. A test version will be out probably-sometime-tonight, if nothing crashes horribly.
Thanks for the update. Any borkage introduced with the new features?

Crap. There's no incremental from 1.32 and the Superpatch is fucked.
In this case, the 1.33 patch shows up for me on the Launcher, but not on MTS Patch Downloader. It's 950 MB, which seems awfully big for such vaguely-worded patch notes. TickleOnTheTum beat me to it. Yeah, the 1.3x SuperPatchers are fucked. The superpatcher doesn't screw up default replacement skins nor add werewolf sliders if you start from 1.29 superpatch, 1.31 incremental, 1.32 incremental. Hell of a lot to download to go from 1.32 to 1.33, but I was not ready to do an uninstall-reinstall right now. Far rather preferred to submit my game to SCIENCE. Well that's your decision isn't it.

To respond to Turd Ferguson comment and for everybody else having the horse freezing bug (on Macs only I think) and wondering if stability improvements announced for patch 1.33 fix it: no, it doesn't. As far as I'm concerned horses are still freezing my game (on mac OSX Leopard). I'm not surprised, but still no fix almost 5 months after releasing a broken EP? ... seriously!!??
EA. Self explanatory. Do horses freeze anyone else's game though?

Hmm, I'm still on 1.31. Holding off on 1.33 until it looks like there's not a 1.34 hiding round the corner. Typical EA shenanigans.
I noticed a tiny performance increase in 1.33, but that's not really worth the effort to get the damned thing working.

Yeah, the 1.3x SuperPatchers are fucked. Coffee's not kicked in yet, so let me see if I can jolt my brain here. I've patched incrementally all along, so don't have the Super Patch installed (checked Delta Build file sizes verify this). Therefore, I don't have the borkedness and instabilities from the crappy super patch in my game. Unfortunately, there isn't an incremental 1.32-to-1.33 patch available as of yet, so my only options if I want to upgrade to 1.33 are: A) uninstall and reinstall the base game, Super Patch to 1.29, then apply the 1.29-to-1.31 and 1.31-to-1.33 incremental patches; B) Wait for an incremental 1.32-to-1.33 patch to become available. Am I right? ARE THIS BLUE? THEN WHO WAS PHONE!?!?!?!?
I did this instead because my bandwidth sucks. Uninstalled and reinstalled base game. Installed 1.26 superpatch from Pets disc. Installed 1.26 to 1.29 incremental patch. Installed 1.29 to 1.31 patch. Then to finish it off, 1.31 to 1.33. It's like they're denying 1.32 ever happened -_- And although this method equals download more patches, the total amount of megabytes you have to download is significantly less which is useful if you have an internet connection like mine that's sucky and averages at around 128kbps.

Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: my game crashes in live mode with AwesomeMod installed

1. There's a thread called 'awesomemod bug report thread' for this crap.
The Bug Report thread is for reporting actual bugs, not to whine about how you can't understand the installation process. Fair point. But when I fucked up my framework first time I installed mods it didn't even recognize anything. Is it possible to bork the installation of the framework to crash the game?

I specified that the original zips have manuals, because fucking surprise, THEY DO. Just not when they are all bundled up in the directors cut.
Doesn't change the fact that before Pes replied and you changed it that you told me to do something which made no sense because there are no manuals in the .zips for the Directors Cut. Like I said, I got all the info I needed on my own, downloaded it on my own, and now my game is awesomefied. So you didn't 'specify that the original zips have manuals', you came along with a stupid and unhelpful answer and changed it because you were wrong. Was it as stupid and unhelpful as telling someone to post a question about framework fail in the Bug Report thread? Eh. If it was a framework error, surely it wouldn't have recognized awsomemod in the first place causing the game to crash?

The Director's Cut doesn't actually come with a manual, it's just a big giant wad of all the stuff in the main directory and each of those individual manuals. But as a rule, Awesomeware Is Good.
Yep. These fixed the game up a shitload and fixed that problem with interactions I had too. I assume the 'RTFM' is search moar until I get all the info of what these do?
Well considering RTFM means Read The Fucking Manual, perhaps you should READ THE FUCKING MANUAL. Just a thought. ETA: Since Pes is all about bursting my balloon of grump, each individual hack .zip does have its own manual. Seeing as those .zips have NO FUCKING MANUAL in them, it's kinda hard to. So I searched for descriptions for what all the mods do. Amazing what logic does, right? I found out everything I needed to know before you came along with your oh so helpful advice.

So yeah, my Sims living in a dorm, gets in a relationship with a dormmate, then the stupid evil cow mascot comes along, fights with almost every Sim there, sets of all the sprinklers and flirts with my Sims girlfriend causing the relationship to end because of the affair memory thing and my only options on the mascot are 'ask to leave' 'talk' and 'influence to...' and the relationship is -99, -100
Is it not possible to fight with them anymore? Because I swear I have before.
