TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Yet another Very Bad Thing, I think.

A few days ago, i updated AwesomeMod, and forgot to enable SupCom in the config file. After I loaded the game, I remembered, and I closed it immediately. Yesterday, I made a new config file, and also installed Indie Stone's story progression mod. then, when I booted the game up, I found my sim at the computer, typing away, but the computer wasn't there. The shadows under the keyboard and the monitor were there, but no computer mesh. Was this just a stray bug, or is there something wrong with my game?

Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Something Very Bad has happened, it seems.

I was playing TS3 yesterday, playing a household of three, with two of them set on SupCom (one was working on mechanical skill, and the other was idling... I think). Almost immediately after setting all that up, I got distracted by some sparkly-shiny flash game and completely forgot that the Sims was running.so an hour or so passes, and i go to shut the computer down, and i see this: As you can see, something didn't work right. Is it still safe to boot up TS3, or should i reinstall the game? If I'm overreacting, then if nothing else, this is a glitch report. Also, completely random, unrelated question: is there some sort of stock image site for images like the ones Pescado makes and posts here? I swear that some of those pics he posts he makes up on the spot.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: What did you do with the Wolff family?

In my Maximum Drama game, Thornton was poached by a Gold-digger. After the marriage, I had her actively interfere with his ability to get to work, and eventually got him fired, at which point she killed him off. Then I decided the shock would have completely unhinged Morgana, so I addtraited her to Insane, Inappropriate, and Loser, and undermined her until she lost her job, then killed her off.
Currently, the Gold-digger is eyeing the Alto family....
OSHI- I have to hear more of this neighborhood. That is pure comedy.

Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Any information on core mod compatability?
|
on: 2009 July 10, 20:51:25

I've looked everywhere I can think of, and I can't find any information about this. I know that AwesomeMod is a core mod, and that it's incompatable with other core mods. I've heard that there is a mod in the works that will allow multiple core mods to coexist peacefully, but I can't find any information on it. Am I looking for the wrong term, is there no information as of yet, or is there no planned mod for this at all?

I still pay more attention to motives than anything else, although I did learn that in TS3 motives can and should go much lower than they do in TS2 before worrying about them.
If this is the case, then why does SupCom have them fill motives when they're half-full? If I remember correctly, it a problem in TS2 when that happened; why is it suddenly a problem now?

i heard cannabis mentioned, so i figured i'd make a suggestion: MOAR HUNGER. not nessicarily a depletion of hunger, but an increase in appetite--is that possible to do already, or is there more work that has to be done before an appetite mod can happen like that? i imagine it would have to do with the AI and being complicated.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Strange graphical glitch when i zoom in to the stadium

I just updated my driver, and the stadium problem is solved. There's a new glitch, though: when i save (it might just be when i save and quit, or just when i quit), the screen fills up with this striped gradient-like thing (that's an articaft, right?). i have the newest driver for my card now, so is this because of my graphics card, or is it the game itself being borked?

It was just a glitch. It should just go away.
that reminds me of something a relative of mine said: It's probably nothing to worry about; a few cigarettes a day won't kill me.
before he found out he had lung cancer. also, the phrase 'nightmare fuel' is just a bit scary, especially considering they're live dogs. do they burn them, or butcher and process them?

i haven't had much of a problem with balancing in the motives, although it's true--there are some important ones that should have been added, that weren't. injuries, anyone? if it's meant to simulate a sort of depression, perhaps the 'over emotional' ones should be the only ones getting the super high boosts?
that makes a lot of sense; the sims, or the sims 2 at least, is a depression simulator. the social bunny, the crying and irritability (awesomemod's lesswhiny option comes to mind), and the constant fighting (i had one family spend two sim days, with motive cheats on, doing nothing but getting into fights. the husband lost his job) all seem like symptoms of depression.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Strange graphical glitch when i zoom in to the stadium
|

This has happened with a couple of other venues, I think, but it's most prominent with the sports stadium. Whenever the sports stadium is on camera, these strange triangles appear, coming out of the corner of the screen, flickering and changing shape and color. If I go to map view, they go away. I haven't been able to get a shot of them, because they freak me out (because i'm a total retard :d), but i will if I can. Any ideas?
