1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: WA crashes after selecting neighborhood on: 2009 November 26, 02:56:11
still having issues with several versions of the nvidia drivers...
at least I am able to run the game perfectly fine on my eee netbook... no more sims abstinence for me!

does anyone know where I can get Nvidia Gforce driver Version: 6.14.0011.8202 ??
That is the one the person on mod the sims listed as the one she was using...
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: WA crashes after selecting neighborhood on: 2009 November 25, 18:29:15
Well I tried upgrading my Nvidia drivers from 6.14.11.3568 to a newer beta version 6.14.11.9562 but still got the same issue...
tried this solution found in mod the sims which the user reported that worked for her:

Try reinstalling like this:

1) Go to My Documents and cut/paste your user files from C:\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\ to your Desktop. (This is where your saved game data is so if you don't want to lose it make a backup first)
Also, back up your cc from 'C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods'

2) Uninstall the expansion and base game from Add/Remove Programs. Then restart your computer.

3) Manually delete the entire 'The Sims 3' folder from 'C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3' (you should have backed up your cc in step 1) and 'The Sims 3 World Adventure' folder from 'C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 World Adventures'

4) Download and install this program: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Use the registry cleaner. When it prompts you make a backup of the files you are removing

5) Restart your computer, then try to reinstall just the base game try to play the game. Don't patch it the first time. See if it works. If it works then you can experiment with patches and the expansion (newest is 1.7)

6) If it still works, you can try adding back in your user files

Still didn't work... later today I'll try downgrading the drivers and see if that works since I was able to get a couple diferent drivers (some older that the one I originally had and some just older than the latest one I installed)

If anyone has any other suggestions I would be glad to try them...

Here are my system specs in case it might help:

[System info]

I did try to uninstall WA and installing again to make sure it wasn't a patch issue... unfortunately it wasn't...
So I I'll try to update/rollback my graphics card drivers tonight after work... I did read some reports of issues with Nvidia cards so it might just be that... Thx Smiley

Clean installation... only installed cc are the store items, no mods not even awesomemod and no saved games either...

Just installed the game, updated up to the latest update, installed WA and updated to 2.2.8 then I tried starting the game and the crash occurred...
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / WA crashes after selecting neighborhood on: 2009 November 24, 10:35:14
After installing WA and updating to version 2.2.8 I get a black loading screen with a grey square where the plumbob should be and the green loading bar, at the bottom the scrolling text keeps getting stuck on so it becomes an unreadable mess... after that I get to the regular select a neighborhood screen, after selecting any of the neighborhoods the game continues to load to about 3/4 and then just crashes to the desktop with no error message at all...

I've been searching google/MATY and have seen users on other sites report this same issue but still no solution was given so any help would be very much appreciated!

I got the hearing music moodlet stuck on a Child sim after the father of the household had upgraded the stereo to House Wired or whatever it was called... after turning off the stereo Mom got the moodlet stuck for a while and then disappeared, the child which was a baby at the time only got rid of it after turning into a toddler... which was like 2 days after he first got it.
It didn't bother me much since it is a positive moodlet... so no big deal...

Save your custom color so that it will show up in the correct category (wood, metal, etc.), then apply it to the alternate counter that pbox suggested using, and it will match your custom-colored overachieving counters.

I will thanks.

yes, overachieving is the in game name for the counters that come in the Bayside set from the store.
My problem was that I usually don't go with the vanilla colored counter but a darker one, customer or not so it kinda stands out... a LOT.

An after placing a counter in a corner even taking it out wouldn't change it back to the original color nor would I be able to recolor it, had to delete and place a new one.

Yes the set is from the store, I just downloaded it again and will try re installing the set to see if it will correct the issue. Also I don't have the latest patch installed so I don't assume it has something to do with it, at least not in my case.
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Unable to recolour kithchen counters on: 2009 June 27, 21:19:01
I tried reloading the game and now the issue is only happening with the overachieving counter and island only.
I think that object got corrupted in some unknown way...
I can't even place one that is not the first maxis color but still a maxis recolor because it keeps switching back to the first one... it's really annoying because that's the counter I like the most  Undecided
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Unable to recolour kithchen counters on: 2009 June 26, 08:14:00
I did try that too but the goddamn thing keeps switching back to the maxis color no matter what order I put the in...
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 June 26, 08:08:09
Find out what version you DO have, and substitute the number accordingly. Your IP lists you as being from .ar, so I have no idea what region they have.

.ar would stand for Argentina... which would be relevant if I would have bought a copy of the game in my country...

As said in my post the version listed on the sims launcher is 1.0.631.00002
But since I downloaded the Reloaded version and later patched it to change it to the Razor version in order to make the downloads work I am not sure if that would be accurate or not, is there any other way to check the version besides the horror that is the launcher?

I did have to copy the original cracked version of the sims 3 .exe after doing that since the game was crashing on the loading screen, that would be the file that came with the Reloaded version. I wonder if maybe that made a hybrid version...

So this is what's happening to my game right now:

I am able to change the textures of kitchen counters as long as they are not placed in an L shape.
What happens is I take a recolored piece and put it against a wall then I take another recolored piece and place it so it will make an L shape, for some reason the piece in the corner turns back to a maxis recolor and when I try to style it it will say that the object can not be recolored.

I have tried placing all maxis colored counters and then styling them with CAST but still the corner portion is restricted for some reason. I have also tried deleting all counters and getting new ones and also getting a different style of counters.
I was able to get all the counters to match before, this started when I was about to make the kitchen bigger and since you can't drag walls with counters placed by it I had to move everything from the wall to get that done, when I tried placing everything back together that's when the issue appeared.
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 June 26, 07:27:41
I downloaded the patch that was supposed to work with my region (Sims3_1.2.7.00002_from_1.0.631.00002.exe) from the link provided by Pes but when I tried to run it it comes up with this error:

The setup has detected that the installed game region for this update is incorrect.

I did check the version the launcher is showing and it is in fact 1.0.631.00002, I also tried the one for 000001 and get the same error.
Anyone having the same issue? or any advice as to how to fix this?
