TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sound Issues Paradise Island
|

I only have AM installed and I have the sound issue. Later on today I plan to install Twallan's no CD mod and take out AM, try a new hood and see if I get the issue. If I do, then we can rule out AM.
I did wonder if it's some kind of AM polling issue.
My sound issues started the minute I tried to buy boats for my sims.
I had no sound issue until I installed AM. I realised there was an option in AM that stated "SmarterVehicleChooser - Sims will more intelligently choose which cars to use." Which could affect the choice in regards to jet skis etc. So it's AM that's causing the sims to use jet skis on roads? I thought that was an EA bug.

I didn't have the sound bug at first, but now I do. There's like a static pop sound then no sound for a few seconds until it pops again and the sound comes back. It's happening every few seconds now. I haven't noticed anyone reporting the sound issue outside this site, so I'm guessing it's an AM issue?

I've managed to load the dorms just fine. The household I've been playing is living in the dorm near the science lot. I think next time I'll choose a house, though. My sims end up spending all their free time cleaning up after all the roommates and fixing broken appliances. I use AM, Master Controller, ErrorTrap and Overwatch.

I'm also unable to "Propose Going Steady," at least in University town, but this might be due to the "Commitment Issues" trait or the fact that my Sim has several boyfriends already, as opposed to AM.
I didn't even think about it till I read this, but I've got this problem too. I wasn't sure if that was just something they can't do in University so after my sim graduated, she went home and I invited her boyfriend over. Still couldn't go steady/propose marriage, no matter how high the relationship was, or how extremely irresistible she was. She doesn't have any type of relationship trait. She DID have a boyfriend before she left for college, but broke up before she left. I haven't had any problems with parties (besides there being freaking tons of them) and the graduation went fine as well. I was able to propose going steady with a sim I was playing and one of the roommates that moved into the dorm. It took a few days and a bunch of conversations, making out, etc. after they were romantic interests, but it eventually showed up.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Combining Packages - best results?
|

I do have all my cc hair merged into like 6 packages. I usually don't go above 250mb in any combined packages. Of all those hair files, I've only come across 2 custom hair files that would not combine without getting errors. Both were by HystericalParoxysm at MTS. I know one is the totally bald hairstyle and the other I don't remember since I don't have it anymore but it was definitely one of her early men's hairstyles.
I'm going to go ahead and try merging most of the mods I have. I have backups anyway, so if it doesn't work, I can always go ahead and put them back as they were. I'll probably just leave Twallan's mods out of the merged package, though. I have Master Controller along with the cheats and the tattoo expansion files and Overwatch.

I also combine my mods together in their own pack, so it's easy and fast to re-do it. (When you have over a hundred mods installed, you do see the difference).
I didn't know it was ok to merge mods together. I merge all my other cc, but I for some reason always thought it would be a bad thing to merge any mods. Are there any I shouldn't combine? I mostly have smaller mods that do things like disable sounds or certain animations as well as no mosaic and a few of Twallan's mods.

I saw a thread about the greenish tint to the skintones. Supposedly, if you have your settings on high, the skintones will look normal again. I haven't seen that in my game, which is at 1.31, but all my settings are on high, so that may be correct.

I haven't had an issue with CC with the incremental patch either. My skintones still work.
What about default replacement skintones? From what I've seen posted at MTS and on the official forums, a lot of people are claiming that the patch somehow changed the skintone ramps and that default replacement skintones no longer work because of this.

So the incremental patch won't screw with the skintones, right? I was holding off on patching to 1.32 since I had just updated to 1.31 and installed SHT a day earlier and didn't feel like putting back the original copies of the neighborhoods (I have all the fixed ones from MTS) and backing up everything and removing my mods again so soon. I'm glad I waited though, since I use a lot of custom skintones and would be pretty pissed if they didn't work anymore.

I'm working on making over a world I downloaded so I'm changing some sims' traits. I've been using addtrait and droptrait to change them, but I've noticed one trait that this doesn't work on, which is Star Quality. It acts like there's no trait by that name so I can't remove it from sims that have it or add it to anyone.

The last time I was having a lot of issues with the Launcher I still had XP with only 3GB of RAM, so it could have been a RAM issue. Now I have Windows 7 with 8GB of RAM, so it's very possible that I won't have any problems this time. It was just a case of me getting used to using the merged packages for store content and not having any real reason to switch back, even after upgrading my computer.
