1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: What 5 Buy Mode objects would you like Modders to make first? on: 2009 July 13, 06:34:58
Better expensive furnitures (I'm sure the developers have never been in rich peoples homes)

1) The best moodlet wise sofa is a hoorible antique thing, I want big corner sofa's with built in recliners
2) More display space with more logical spacing squares, inc shelves
3) Sunken bath, baths on legs that can sit in the middle of the floor, better bathing in general
4) More useable stuff for children, toys etc and furniture specifically for them
5) Beds with a better spread of comfort (any new bed, no matter how cheap, is not going to be that uncomfy it requires more hours of sleep), also a quality bed that is not a four poster.

You can delete just the NPCs from a neighborhood.  With awesomemod installed, run help in the cheat command line and it will show the proper syntax (you may need to enable testing cheats for this--I don't remember for sure), which is something akin to destroyallnpcs but I can't remember it exactly.  Just keep in mind, though, that some of these NPCs could be partners at your Sims' work places that they have developed relationships with and the game will generate replacements.  NPCs are everywhere in TS3.  They aren't just service workers any more, and it really increases their numbers.

Thanks for the help, I'd seen the destroyallnpcs but have been worried about using it, but I've a feeling this 'Npc' family is starting to bork the game world anyway. One of my sims has just befriended an npc and any interaction with this npc grinds the system down, with a message that can't fully display, but looks to be full of ... ... ...'s - I get the impression it's trying to display all his family members.

This game is so enjoyable and annoying in equal measures, but I'll try it tonight and see how I get on.

... I now only have 37 homeless bums in my town, but they are all in one Household listed as NPC. Hopefully this should mostly do away with my 1am laginess as well....

Hi, thanks for the guide, but like the above, I have a homeless family titled Npc, only there are 60 characters in it. Is there any way of splitting this group up, or deleting them from the game world?

Many thanks. Franc Kaos.

Hi, just registered here to post my thanks for an awesome mod, no bug reports as such (did notice the 1am glitch but not too bad on my system - self built games machine), but I do have a question/suggestion; is there any way of making all the props uni sexual? (hair, clothes, personal decs - or at least the hair, a lot of the female hair would look ok on the guys).

Actually, kind'a surprised to find myself utterly addicted to this game, played The Sims1 for a few hours, same for TS2, but this version (with a few annoyances, agree about the ingame lighting, though fixed the pudding look by changing the res format, they look better at 5:10 than 16:9), really grabbed me, 'got' it for my niece but can't stop playing it.

Anyway, cheers for unborking the game even more.

Franc Kaos.
