If you use LAA Turn it off before patching. That's what caused this problem for me.

Ahhh.. I had a couple Nraas files in there left over, though it wasn't the story progression one. It was the pollinator, inseminator and computer. I'm not sure if they would cause it but if the story progression would there's a good bet his other hacks might do something like that too. Thank you for bringing that to my attention.

I got a pop up message in game saying "2 sims have been run out of town!" while everyone on my lot were sleeping at night. I didn't know the game could do this, is it part of awesomemod or the base game? AM is the only game altering mod I have with the exception of simple ones such as objects, hairs and clothes.
4  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Loading Screen Crash on: 2009 November 30, 02:19:14
Are you serious? I need the broken 1.7 version that doesn't work in order for awesome mod to work?!
5  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Loading Screen Crash on: 2009 November 29, 19:39:21
Huh Why does my Sims 3 stop just after the video? the diamond doesn't have the 'Sun effect' and the game doesn't do anything. the only thing in my packages folder is the awesome mod. YES i've done everything. YES i've just installed it 2 days ago. and i have patch 1.0.631.00107. PLEASE HELP Huh SORRY i forgot i couldn't post loading screen errors. but ive already tried the 10 things where it had the error and picture of loading screen crash. NOTHING WORKS!!!

Does it crash after the loading video? Or does it just freeze? If it crashes it may be the same problem I am having, only I'm updated to 1.3.
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Stuck and Invisible Sim on: 2009 November 04, 00:26:56
I have a sim whom I can select but cannot do anything with. She is stuck invisible in town and an X'd out action will not leave her que. I have tried everything but cannot even kill her. I was wondering if anyone would happen to know a cheat console command that would remove her from the world or kill her? This is not a sim that is particularly important to me.

Is it possible to make it so that your sim when left on it's own will actively seek to fulfill rolled wants? Perhaps as a option in Supreme Commander?
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Absimiliard's Realistic Aging Mod on: 2009 September 29, 02:50:47
Than this may be my problem. The mod may be incompatable with ts2 style ageing and chosen only ageing.
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Absimiliard's Realistic Aging Mod on: 2009 September 28, 23:25:57
I've been using this mod now ever since it came out and I absolutely love it. I am having an issue, however, with sims that were already in the game before I put this mod in. Those sims are not aging at all. Sims that were born after I put in this mod are aging beautifully as the mod intends. Also, contrary to what is noted in the notes for this mod, I have had no sims die right away.

I have awesome mod with ts2 style ageing but no other age related mods. I also have it set so that only my chosen households age, and every is chosen that I play. I was wondering if those of you who are having NO problems with this mod do not have these two Awesome mod functions activated.

Is there any explinations for this issue though?
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: serious error occurred while loading town on: 2009 September 11, 19:35:21
Sorry, just wanted to know if there was a way to fix it. I still am saving my saves incase someone comes up with a way down the line. I'm just not holding my breath, and in the meantime starting up a new neighborhood.
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: serious error occurred while loading town on: 2009 September 11, 18:13:34
I'm not sure why it would matter (i'm obviously a bit ignorant about this), however, I have replaced the original folder that came with the installed game (i placed it somewhere else, didn't delete or replace it) and replaced the SAVES folder. It didn't work. I've just decided to start a new town (which does work) because i'm not willing to do a whole reinstall again  Roll Eyes Thanks anyways though.
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / serious error occurred while loading town on: 2009 September 11, 17:25:05
I didn't know where else to post this sorry if its not in the right forum. I was wondering if anyone could tell me whats going on with my game and maybe how to fix it. I recently installed a new harddrive into my PC and was hoping to move my sims 3 town along with it so I didn't have to start over from scratch. I copied over my mods folder and that installed fine. I copied over my documents/electronic arts/the sims 3 folder (the whole thing) to its appropriate place also. When I start up my game the neighborhood is there but says there was  a serious error loading it and quits. Help  Cry

I have a child sim in my town whom I want to adopt into my household. When i go to adopt her using the awesomemod it says that she already has parents. Is there a way I can get around this and adopt her anyway? I have looked throughout the town for a household that now lists her as a part of their family to no avail. I figured the game must "pretend" she has parents so she cannot be adopted back into my family (accidental child neglect).
I would just track her down and, with Testing Cheats enabled, Shift-Click on her and select "Add to Active Household."

Thats the thing. I'm having trouble tracking her down! I found I could invite her over to party when I threw one, but couldn't add her to active household.

Nevermind i got it figured out. i invited her over for a party and did the testingcheatsenabled thing. thanks for giving me the idea Cheesy

I keep hearing about these 'extra traits" that awesomemod incorporates into the game? One of my sims turned up with a tealdeer trait and I was pleasantly surprised to see it, I think it's great! My question is, is there a way or place I can find out about what the other traits possible are? Not the ones that come with the game but the ones that are thanks to awesomemod. I've looked seemingly everywhere and not been able to find a list of the traits. Huh

I had this happen to me just today, extremely frustrating. I spent 2 days having the guy constantly romancing her, they even woohoo'd but still nothing. When I switched to the girl and did the same things then switched back, the option FINALLY came up. This is a huge suck though if you don't control both sims. The girl didn't live with my household so I couldn't control her until I moved her in.
18  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Indie Stone Now with added Awesomeness on: 2009 July 21, 21:47:15
Ok thank you. I'll just turn it off when i'm playing a household then turn it back on before leaving that household.
19  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Eh? Aging? on: 2009 July 21, 19:04:58
I downloaded the indiestone mod (not the core package) with awesomemod and updated and such and the game was running fantastically. I switched from household to household, playing until I got bored with one to switch to another . I had stasis on all of the households I play with aging on and everyone seemed to be doing fine.... until I switched to a specific household. The same settings applied, but for some reason Nobody in this household is aging. I have a young adult, baby (who I forced to toddler) and child that aren't ageing day after day. I can't seem to figure out why, any help?

I tried turning aging off then back on with no luck. I'm wondering if there's a setting i'm missing somewhere? I didn't know whether to put this here or in the buggedness, or in the questions threads.
Edit: Could it be that sims don't age while stasis is on and I just hadn't noticed with the previous households?
20  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: "Old Car Syndrome" crash FIX!!!! on: 2009 July 16, 21:28:02
I still have it occasionally. In fact, just before I started up the game this last time I had to restart it 4 times because it kept crashing. I don't mind though because i'm a persistant sob  Grin I check for updates to awesomemod several times a day and update when there is one.
21  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 July 16, 19:39:03
It only moves from one sim to the next that are already showing on the left.
Keep hitting SPACE. SPACE just toggles down the line. Eventually you will get to her. Now, you aren't going to see her icon on the far left. You will see her below, with all her widget panels. The fastest way I've found is to click on the sim icon shown on the torp left and hit SPACE once.

I just right click on a sim and it selects them o.o
22  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 June 23, 12:30:18
I saw in the awesomemod configuration tool that there is an option for TS2 style aging where only the active household ages, which is what i've been dieing for! Can I get a confirmation from anyone that this works?  Cheesy
