It's what is known as an "IM-AGE MAC-RO." Not only is there a picture, but there are WORDS that tie in with the image ("image" is another word for "picture") somehow. [Here, those words are] spoken by a SCOWLING (that's another word for MEAN-FACED) baby.
On behalf of us foreign peasants and non-native English speakers, thank you. (Though I still didn't understand how a greek prefix became a substantive meaning "place where ceiling cat and basement cat live". But Wikipedia has an explanation: ) The term "image macro" was first used on the Something Awful forums. The name derived from the fact that the 'macros' were a short bit of text a user could enter that the forum software would automatically parse and expand into the code for a pre-defined image, relating to the computer science topic of a macro, defined as "a rule or pattern that specifies how [who cares]."

I have the hack, I always save after I invite the headmaster because I save all the time, I offer the man a drink before dinner and a coffee after that, and I have no problem. He even puts his coffee cup in the dishwasher himself before accepting the brats in that fine institution of his. Something else must create a conflict in your game.

I will do so. My neighbourhoods were created before my vile self knew of His Awesomeness and of His enlightened work anyway, so whatever happens, if anything, is fine by me. May thou rest in peace, Jean Queutard.

Is it? Then I probably deleted it when I knew what I was doing even less than I do now. Again, that sim and using the sim bin's trash can were but a erreur juvénile, I thought he was lost, leaving nothing than random and mysterious corrupted data.
Then while looking for potential mass-murder victims through the Characters file, I clicked next to see the second picture of this "N003_user00971.package Jean", thinking he was a YA that passed by a dorm the other day (since there are often two pictures for each package in the S2P Clean Installer preview, the first being just a black background, and the real portrait showing only on the second picture). And it actually was that deleted sim. Jean was indeed his name, and the picture leaves no room for doubt. I guess I never saw him there before because I didn't happen to click to see the next picture before.
I believe he is not among the Sim Description merry bunch, because I can't find him there by his name, and the ID I got by opening the package in SimPe differs from those of the five Unknowns. But maybe I am wrong about that and he is one of them, since my use and knowledge of Simpe are quite basic. Or maybe I deleted it and can't remember now.
That is why I don't know what to do about him now, I don't think his remains belong in the Characters file any more, yet I am afraid of messing things up even more if I simply delete the package.

I destroyed a CAS-created sim from the sim bin a long time ago. He was created, joined a "family" of another CAS-created sim on a lot, lived there maybe a couple of sim hours, returned to the bin and was deleted.
Going through the characters file using Clean Installer, I just found his package, so to speak. He is, or was, N003_User00971.package.
I opened it using SimPe, but he's not one the 950 sims under Sim Description. He doesn't appear to be one of the five Unknows. I also gathered various other informations (such as GUID 0x96FAB3A7, Instance 0x00000080, Type 0x4F424A44), but I wouldn't know what to do of them.
I plan to simply delete that package from the characters file, even if I am unable to prepare the late sim with the batbox the way He intended, as the deleted sim doesn't appear anywhere in the pie menu.
Does someone know of other things I could delete or clean in SimPe or in game before I do that? Should I even delete the mutilated package from the characters file?

I am unable to help but I have been having that error and crash for months now, and couldn't find a solution. I just strongly suspect Nvidia. My card is (and has always been) a Geforce 8600GT OC 256 MB. The latest drivers updates are my favourite suspect. They do bring even more unwanted shit and mess the registry with stupid launch-at-PC-boot stuff with each update, too. I didn't change anything myself between now and the time when I wasn't experiencing these crashes, my games are still in C/program files. The problem is related to lag, though, since it started to happen on community lots (stupid post-graduation outings with groups of ten unknown idiots), and occasionally in big dorms and once in a full 5X5 residential lot, I think. Oh and on BV hotels, too. It doesn't take much time to load the game or go to a community lot, so I don't think that my Downloads are a problem either. I did get rid of Fitness for all and Community skilling, thinking that maybe they add too much information to process at a time for my computer. But it didn't solve the problem and I just missed it too much so I reintroduced Fitness for all. It's hard to test though, because the crash appears occasionally, so I can never easily say if something I tried was helpful or not. Obviously, I did reinstall the drivers, and a few more since, because new updates were released. I tried the clean reinstall, too. I also reinstalled Direct X. I cleaned everything I could think of, and looked for everything I could find that had a driver update released. So now my computer is super clean :p I tried this "can you run it" site and I'm supposed to be able to play TS2 and even TS3 perfectly, but I still get that problem sometimes. So I just save a lot and rush home if something important happens on a community lot, since I'm afraid a crash might eat it.
I am actually kind of happy, but just a little bit, that a distinguished MATY-member with such a shiny avatar seems to be having a similar problem. Chances for said problem to be solved seem to have incredibly increased.

Well, his awesomeness wouldn't know it, but the sheep enjoys some variety in its pasture. The Content Manager comes as an alternative to the Clean Installer: unlike it, it shows the complete path to each file, useful for those stupidly named orphan packages. And the colour is different, stuff like that. Although it is less shiny indeed.
I was cleaning my Downloads and noticed that this one and only file was in conflict with the Eaxian tool. It's not that I'm dying to see that fixed, obviously. Just thought I'd report.

Of all the awesome hacks and the few non-awesome ones I have in my Downloads folder, this is the only one that prevents the Download Manager to launch, causing a lazy "Error!" message to pop. I have to take it out before I use the DM, and replace it afterwards. Not sure if it's worth mentioning, but since it hasn't been reported yet..

Oh! It's Himself It worked ! Thank you soooooo much, for this and for all of your stuff that already was in my DL folder. Edit: it worked, but it's still not over. After they left the hotel and returned home, I saved and left the (home) lot, now if I try to play the lot again, it says they are still on the vacation lot. Indeed they are, but stuck again, since I have no way to make them go home. They can only call a cab to visit other vacation lots, boy, they're driving me crazy. Well, at least they can sunbathe on the beach again, now ... Edit, again: I (think I) solved it by temporarily removing the vacation files from the neighbourhood folder. They seem to be home for real, this time. Thank you again, Great Pescado, I hope I don't have to burden this thread again with them.

How to do when the sims are stuck on a vacation hotel lot? There are so many stupid towels all over the place that the car cannot drive to the lot to bring them home. Since they don't have access to buy mode, they cannot buy the debugger and clean the lot. They can walk to another lot, but since you can't leave the island walking...
Please what can I do to bring them home?
