Hey Toonie, Wizard and others,

MTS has a No Food Spoilage mod by mikrokitty in 3 flavors: 16, 24 and 1 million hours. I use the million hours flavor because I don't like any of my food to spoil ever. Check it out!

Hey Ambular,

These are really beautiful and it's too bad that my Mom isn't playing S3, she's sticking with S2, as this pattern has been her favorite since she was a little girl... Thanks !   Cheesy

Ah but ellipses are your friend. And it's not useless to see the percentage of simmers who are interested in fixing the behavior mentioned by Wizard. But you wouldn't get that now would you ?  Silly witch, useless fixes are for kids. What a 12 thing to do.

Fixed your post.

Ellipsis (plural ellipses; from the Greek: ἔλλειψις, élleipsis, "omission") is a mark or series of marks that usually indicate an intentional omission of a word or a phrase from the original text.

Just so's you know you're doin' it wrong.

And you failed to read further to see that ellipsis also indicate a pause in thought and/or a sentence... silly witchy !  My ellipsis are intentional here, capiche ?   Wink

If you are using ellipses to indicate pauses in your thoughts, your sentences indicate that your thoughts suffer frequent pauses. Like your brain just turns off intermittently.

This is just your perception of the definition for ellipses which is fine. Carry on !   Smiley

I have two requests.

The first is can you shorten the birthday celebrations, I have the mod that stops the whistles, but I can't stand how long they all wave there arms (in unison) and carry-on before the person ages.  If They blow out the candles it seems to take forever for them to age.  If I wait until they age on the own, no drama, but I often age them using the cake (especially if I have aging off for any reason) or I want to age them early.

I agree and would love to see this event shortened since it is very irritating and unnecessary...   Smiley

That was meant to be "if not disabled". Although I guess that is excessively twisted, so I will simplify the wording. It has no effect. In any case, turning it on will cause recipe books to be available in the library if the not-magic-scrolls option is also on. Otherwise, only recipes that are not ordinarily magic scrolls (I.E., none of them) will appear.

This is good to know since I read this multiple times and kept coming up w/the answer that it made no sense no matter how the phrase was broken down, and it was so convoluted that I found myself comparing it to the complex law cases that we used to have to brief when studying to be Paralegals...   Wink

Guess I'll have to settle for the part-time then
and while I"m at it I could change her lifetime wish.

You can change her LTW by having her build up enough lifetime happiness points, 10,000 - so that she can then buy the Change Lifetime Wish reward in the LTW rewards menu... and w/AM installed you can just bring up the console window, Ctrl-Shift-C and type in "lifetimehappiness" w/out the quotes and she will be given 50,000 points w/out having to fulfill any of her wants/wishes... Good Luck !   Smiley

I don't have any of my sims on SC and do like the fact that inactive sims now workout autonomously, however, while they no longer randomly gain weight, they also do not look any more buff until I take control of them and then there is noticeable muscle gain...   Smiley

Sorry...is there a way to change the configuration of the Awesome mod instead of using the Configuration Tool?? The file who it generates doesn't work and I'm not able to change the configuration...I don't know why..! How can I solve??

Okay rocky, IF you have Awesome Mod in the correct file then you should be able to bring up the console window with Ctrl-Shift-Click and type in ShowConfig and hit enter, now you should be able to see approx. 4 pages of the Config file and also the specifics that you want to configure. So, let's say you want to enable the Robotic Hand of God, once you've written down all of the elements of AM that you want to configure (make a list), next bring up the console window again and type SetConfig RoboticHandofGod Enabled and then hit enter again. Do this w/all elements that you want to configure and then save your changes. You will need to do this each and every time you play your game, as setting the config in-game is only temporary. The online config is working just fine for me, so you may not have everything set up in your files correctly. Good Luck !   Smiley

There is one thing to the pedophile trait/scenario that you may not be aware of layziegtp, and that is that Pescado added it only to make a lot of simmers happy since he really did not want it in his mod of the game. So, it's really his right to then add w/e consequences that will make him happy as this way the playing field is more fair, so if he wants to make it a permanent trait then so be it. And I realize that you probably didn't know this when "playing around" w/this trait just as I didn't know that my workaround that I suggested to you was now extinct...  Just a learning curve of sorts and now since he's modified it for a bit it would be a good idea to take advantage of it fast !  Good Luck !   Wink  Cheesy

Wow, this looks really awesome and you're right, the Sims Art Gallery website is da bomb! There is artwork and paintings, etc. that should appeal to a variety of simmers... this site has been a real lifesaver for people who love to do unique interior design and have art/paintings that are of great quality and originality, unlike the sad EAxis offerings in our base game...   Wink   Grin
13  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: droptrait registeredsexoffender on: 2009 September 11, 02:02:34
Hey layziegtp,

I too had this problem in my game w/one of my sims and then thru the advice of another poster here was able to get it removed from the sims' trait list. So, just take AM out of your game, place it on your desktop temporarily and then go back into your game and you will see that the trait is no longer there. Then save and exit your game, put the AM back in your packages folder and you should be good to go... Good Luck !   Smiley

I had a teen ask his mother to break up with his dad! It was in the friendly menu. Only saw it once.  Shocked

I have actually seen this quite a few times lately w/several famblies and wondered what was up with it...   Cheesy
15  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: About the online AwesomeMod Configuration Tool on: 2009 September 07, 01:01:09
Now that you explain it that way it makes sense and I also realize that I was thinking of TS2 where it seemed that the game had a built-in type of autosave feature that saved the game to the game you were actually playing, and not a "sub-game" if you will that would be separate... but since this is all new technology/programming the saving aspects are different as well.  A Doh moment for me ~   Tongue
16  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Long pauses on: 2009 September 07, 00:55:40
The long pauses have indeed increased after the very latest build of AM, as I had just started my computer up to play S3 and it had not had any time to heat up...  I too noticed my sims just standing around not "doing" anything whereas before this build, they would go about their business as I always play w/free will maxed.  My kids going to school go in lock-step formation and I should have taken a piccy of my teen and kid both poised on the top step of the front porch each w/a leg extended to take the next step, just frozen for a sim second... funny to see not so funny to play...   Wink
17  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: About the online AwesomeMod Configuration Tool on: 2009 September 07, 00:44:25
AutoSavesToKeep is ignored if AutoSavesInterval is set to 0.

Any autosave will always be named Autosave#, with # the number starting with zero and high according to the ASTK setting.

The AutoSavesToKeep cannot be set to zero (0) as the numbers go from 1 to 10, and it's been this way since its' inception whenever I try to set it to zero.  Huh

In England marriage between cousins isn't considered incest.  Though it's still too close for a lot of people's comfort.

In addition, if two first cousins end up marrying and having kids then the "Stupid" trait will most likely appear in one or more of the chilluns...   Wink   Cheesy
20  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 September 03, 08:06:33
Hey Rosehrt,

Well you are correct in your thinking on this and I had to "force" my married sim women to "get busy" with her flirty younger guy by first making them "Best Friends" and then having her initiate all the romantic actions until the bigger interactions finally appeared in the Romance social interaction tree... like "First Kiss" and then on to making out and the finale, woohooing !   Cheesy

The expressions on her face were really comical as she looked very confused and aghast at what she was doing and saying to her intended lover...  I  should have taken some screenies because it was classic...  Anywayz, you will have to force it if you want anything to happen between a married sim w/Family Oriented and a Flirty Single sim... but the results are totally worth it...  Good Luck !   Wink   Cool

Edit: The younger guy is Zac Efron so it will be fun to see what his kid looks like w/a CAS woman...   Cheesy

Basically, don't do this: It can literally unravel the space-time continuum and destroy all of creation.

Oh. So Sims poligamy means the end of the world?  Tongue

LMBO!  Very clever and funny too!  So, a hidden sim world morality emerges slowly but surely...   Wink

Also thanks so much twallan for this newest mod!  I too had been wishing for this action to be possible and a relationship booster for sims to become "friends" faster with the ability to woohoo as the end result is awesome!  THANK YOU !   Grin
22  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 September 01, 06:05:18
I am pretty sure you are imagining that, because that action is very firmly flagged non-autonomous.

Well, that may be and I don't doubt you but I am very careful in clicking on social interaction trees and I am certain that I did not initiate this action... and that's why it was such a surprise.  But w/e it's all good and a LOT of fun!   Cheesy

Just want to say a BIG thanks to all who are working on AM's Storymode... as today, it threw me a cool surprise when my celebrity sim, Zac Efron, who is set-up to be one of RV's hottest bachelors with Flirty, Charismatic, Great Kisser, Friendly, and a few other traits but NOT Hopeless Romantic, Family Oriented or Commitment Issues... asked an EAxis woman to "Break Up" with her hubby autonomously... very N.I.C.E. !  And not what I really wanted him to be doing but if he ends up asking every woman he woohoos with to do this everytime, my 'hood should have a lot of broken hearted husbands which could be really funny !   Grin

Great job so far everyone and can't wait to see what will happen in the future of the game w/more development and elements added...  Brava !   Cool

Thanks so much as I have never seen the Jeanette hairstyle from S2 and LOVE longer hair on my guy sims having been a '70's teen... very N.I.C.E. !   Cheesy   Cool
25  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Private Wedding Crash on: 2009 August 25, 00:42:33
It must have something to do w/marrying NPC's then cause in my game all of my Private Weddings are being performed just fine... so might wanna continue testing w/NPC's and then post in the "New Bug Thread" if this behavior (crashing) is 100% w/NPC's... and Good Luck!   Smiley
