1  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2013 September 06, 16:19:18
I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but I'll ask anyway. Since 1.57 was released on 9/04 and I haven't seen any new test builds will the last AM work or should I wait for an update? I haven't updated yet just in case as I don't want to go without AM for 2-3 weeks like I did last time. Let the flaming begin.
2  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2013 July 12, 00:29:14
Erm, you could try the updated test Awesomemod? 6 July mine is timestamped. I have been running with setConfig smarterVehicleChooser true and I have no sound issues, nor have I seen a boat on the road.

Awesome. This fixed all my issues as well.

Thanks Pescado for fixing this in such a timely manner, I couldn't play the game with that awful problem.

I second that!  I played for several hours, however, I did have to "reset town" three times during those hours.  I'm OK with that though, at least we can play now.  Thank you Pescado and Twallen!
And I can give it a third! After doing that though, my sims no longer use their preferred vehicles, but with the sound issue gone I can play the game again with at least a semblance of normalcy. Thanks all.
3  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomemod Request Thread on: 2013 July 01, 04:23:25
Hopefully by that time the new version (1.55 compatible) will be finished. Sure it will have an updated expiry date as well. Otherwise, that should indeed be a temporary solution.
If you would search MOAR, you would know that there IS another solution.
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sound Issues Paradise Island on: 2013 June 30, 18:58:24
Is there any talk about this sound issue in the official Sims 3 forum? I can't even check myself because for some idiotic reason those forums have country restriction so that you can only see the useless forums that are in your own language. Don't know if EA even knows about this issue. Can't really play the game before it gets fixed.
Yes, this has been reported to the IP bug thread on the EA forums, by myself. The moderator is making a list of bugs and sending them to the Gurus. We'll see if this sound issue gets resolved. I hope so. I didn't mention it here because I didn't feel AM would be the cause of this.
5  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Struggling with Awesomemod on: 2013 June 27, 15:39:56
same thing for beta.
6  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Struggling with Awesomemod on: 2013 June 21, 00:06:02
Sitting on my hands patiently. Can't play Sims without AM because of freezing issues and bypassing the error message just led me to another message that said re-install or quit!! No thank you, the Sims.
Yeah, I won't be playing anymore either until the AM for 1.55 is released. I tried last night and the game sucks without it.
7  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 January 13, 20:17:07
I'm having the same issue mentioned earlier about crashes at the beginning of horse competitions.  Restarting without AwesomeMod gets rid of the problem, letting me complete races.
This was fixed by Pescado a bit ago. Redownload AM! If you'd keep an eye on this thread you wouldn't be posting about already fixed bugs.
8  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 January 08, 15:39:12
Downloaded and am using the most recent AM now (dated Jan 5) and now I can no longer manipulate the attributes of my Sims (ie. hunger, energy, etc).
Works fine for me. Check that you've enabled testing cheats.

Yep. PEBKAC on my part. I just installed my backed up data on my new computer. I was thinking that everything on the config page should still be as I had it. I made a few changes but didn't check that. I guess that's what I get for thinking. Sorry for wasting your time Pescado. I'm a farkin maroon. Tongue

10  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Stupid new patch borked my game. Can anyone give solutions? no one at EAxis can. on: 2012 January 07, 15:24:15
That isn't an AwesomeMod issue, then. Nothing in AwesomeMod has been added schoolwise in ages and there were no patch rejects in that area. However, what you're describing sounds like all of your schools have...exploded. Replace the rabbitholes.
Thanks Pescado. I figured it was an EAxian problem and not an AM one although the school problem went away once I downloaded the newest AM (which I didn't know had been updated yet again; you're a busy busy bee).
11  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Stupid new patch borked my game. Can anyone give solutions? no one at EAxis can. on: 2012 January 07, 14:29:29
2. Schools are no longer recognized. Worked fine before patch. Now after patch I get the "no schools in your area" message in the child's career tab. I've changed nothing except updated AM and all my other mods for 1.29 so I'm not sure what the problem here is. I even tried placing another school in the world with no luck. So my question is can AM fix this issue? If I reset my child sims will this fix the issue? No one on the EAxis forums seems to know and I'd like to at least get the school bug taken care of.

RTFM. Sounds like you have an option enabled that you don't want.

No I do not. All the settings for the config file for AM are just as they have been for quite some time. If you read my post correctly you'd notice I said that children were able to go to school before the newest patch and then not able to after it. I updated AM after upgrading the game. I am now checking to see if yet another AM was uploaded that might at least fix the horse competition bug as SJActress said it had been fixed. That will still leave me without schools in my world though.

Okay, since installing the latest patch I have three problems. Two major and one minor:

Minor:
Unicorns no longer have horns and although the CAH has the option for horns it is blank. ie. I can't fix the problem via CAH.

MAJOR:
1. Horse racing crashes the game. This is a known bug on the EAxis forums.

Thanks.

Stick a horn on it.
I tried that, but horns don't show up in CAH. The option for horn is there, but it's blank.

Angry Since I updated to the latest EA patch my Unicorn now looks like a normal horse. The game still considers it a Unicorn, it just doesn't look like one anymore. Anyone else had this issue and know how to resolve it?
15  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomemod Request Thread on: 2011 November 05, 13:18:18
This is the first time I've actually needed to request a feature so here goes. I noticed while using "maxmotives" that it only works for the Sims and not the pets. Would there be a way to add pets to that command or to make one just for them such as "maxmotivespets"? Thanks. And by the way, thank you Pescado for all the hard work you put into AM. Without you and Twaillan's efforts I wouldn't enjoy The Sims as much as I do. Grin
16  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: I have searched long and hard (that's what she said) on: 2011 August 23, 13:05:52
I'm on a Mac too so that is NO excuse. I posted a few months back (with pictures) how and where to install correctly on a Mac. Search is your friend. Use it.
17  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Super "n00b" Attack on: 2011 June 13, 07:49:05
Okay, thank you!

This will sound so extremely nooby of me, but... do you know where exactly I can find the 1.22 test version apart from through this updater thing by basbas? Because I have been scrolling this website for ages and I'm still at square one!

Search MOAR! There are a couple thread about the AM test version. No need for someone to post the link yet again... Hint, if you actually search for it, it will be within the first page of the search.  Lips sealed
18  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Help please, I'm a n00b once again. on: 2011 May 20, 17:47:26
Since you are on a Mac you should check this out. Doing a search should have turned this up: http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,20008.msg568123.html#msg568123
19  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Help me please, for I am stupid - crash issues on: 2011 May 13, 22:26:53
People around here will not hold your hand. But I'll be a little helpful and tell you to look here: http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,17454.0.html
Next time doing a search for installing the framework would be helpful too. Search is your friend.
20  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Mac help for a noob on: 2011 March 01, 21:03:29
I use a Mac as well and it is NOT that difficult to install the framework anymore. I'm not sure what is so hard to understand. They have made it extremely easy to do so since, I think, Ambitions. Here is the proper (and easiest) way to install mods and framework for Mac:

http://www.macnation.org/right_way.jpg

Now use this info and don't create extra threads around here again. They don't like that kind of thing. And maybe grow a few more braincells. It's not that difficult. EA even gave instructions on how to do it for Christ's sake. Angry
21  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Can anything increase gigs? on: 2011 February 01, 20:59:42
Yes, definitely an EA thing. It's all over the Sims 3 boards. Glad to know Pescado is going to attempt to fix this.
22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2010 November 28, 05:44:57
I haven't seen this posted yet so here it is: The KISS bundle (I was a little upset as I got simpoints through a contest but you can only get these things with points you actually buy yourself, but I really wanted this)

http://www.mediafire.com/?ajhu31py7via93p

And if anyone can help me out. I'm looking for the free items that came with the German Sims magazine. All the links I've tried are either removed or 404'd. Not the lots, but everything else as I have the houses. Thanks.
23  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Keep body weight..? on: 2010 February 11, 19:19:23
From the manual, so yeah - eat less exercise more I'm afraid.

There's an actual manual for AM? Where is this located at? All I've ever seen is a brief RTFM text file with the mod. And that doesn't give a lot of detail for anything in it.
24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Different problems I had with using both Mac and Windows for WA on: 2010 January 16, 01:14:59
Ah, my mistake.  I thought you were saying that our method that is being discussed does not work for Mac.  After I reread your post I see that you mentioned going to the store in-game.  I missed that the first time.   Roll Eyes  Our method does work though, and you should be able to get all of your CC to work with it.
I'm testing this now on the Windows side of my comp. I had to uninstall CAW because it just wouldn't run for some reason so I'm hoping reinstalling it will help. If this works I'll try on the Mac side. Thanks. I just have to find an alternate sims3pack installer for Mac.
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: A way to force Sims to go steady? on: 2010 January 10, 11:30:40
I found the computer. I actually had to google it to find it. Twallan moves around alot apparently. But it worked like a charm once I figured out how to actually use it. To answer a few questions I saw pop up in here. Yes, one of the sims had commitment issues, but that shouldn't really matter. I had a few other sims with the same trait that got married with no problems. Whatever the problem was, it matters little now. I got the supercomputer and fixed it. Thanks for all the help and comments.
