ok so what do i do when it asks for the game disc in order to run the game?

I have a little problem.  Pretty much every time I play my game everyone other than the current family has switched houses.  Everyone is always moving across the neighborhood.  What gives?  Does anyone know how to turn this off?  Does it have to do with story progression, i have it turned on.  I also do have awesomemod installed.  Thanks for any help u can give.

So i just installed awesomemod into my game and I have a question about one of the features.  I though that now if I switched between households I wouldn't lose wants or opportunities but that doesn't seem to be the case.  Is this feature supposed to be turned on or something?

So in the sims 2 if a child was taken by the social worker than it couild be adopted later on by a different family.  Is this true with the sims 3?  I want to insert a Sim into a current family and adotion seems to be the way.
