Do you have to read 50 different Books or can you just read the same over and over again?

Edit: do books written by yourself also count?

First of all, i wanna say Hi, since i'm new here :S

So, i noticed something weird in the Strategy book and i wanted to ask, if anyone of you guys made a different view.

The Book says:

So far, it works fine. I can Sneak up everywhere i want to, nevertheless i can't (Book says again)
So, do i have to have Kleptomania, or is there any Chance to get my Sim to rob the shit out of houses without having it? And a question in addition, how can i get into houses? There's no possible Trigger to do it.
